I've played the story multiple times but always with high honor, and while there was never a deer around, there WAS an eagle perched on his headstone when I arrived. For curiosity's sake I aimed my gun at it, and instead of there being a red dot on the eagle, it was gray. So it can't be shot. Not that I was going to shoot it even if I could. But I just thought it was a nice touch, and that it wasn't just some random eagle there by chance. I took it as the spirit of Eagle Flies watching over him.

This is what I love about games so much. People who create these games put a lot of effort and thought into this. We relate to the characters, their relationships, their lives, their struggles. Arthur in my opinion is one of the best, if not the best protagonist in any game I've ever played or seen. And that's the magic of the game. As a true gamer, I respect every single game and their developers for the effort and emotion they put in. Emotional indeed.
it did for me as well. it was the stupid, 'suggested questions' section with all the drop down questions. it straight up shouldn't exist cos it spoils a lot
Thanks! It took me 107 hours and I loved every second of it, Red Dead Redemption 2 will hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life (anyway I'm a girl!)
I'm trying to cry but I can't. I just have a big, painful lump stuck in my throat. I am genuinely heart broken at this. Gosh, Arthur, I loved you so much.
Dutch died at the bottom of the mountain. Arthur died at the top of one. Micah died on top of a mountain. Flaco Hernandez died near a cabin on a mountain.
The best thing you can do in RDR2 once you finished it, is to go around and look for camps in the world, some people you are going to meet who r camping have fascinating stories to tell!
its touching to me that dutch died at the bottom of a mountin and arthur died on top. meaning how he has become the bigger person wont be used wont be lied too. but to die an honerable man. unlike dutch who never stopped chasing a unknown path and his ego drove him off a cliff........literally. its very very poetic
RDR2 and Dying Light will forever remain my favourite games of all time. The things I’d to experience this for the first time again or for RDR3 instead of GTA6
I'm not saying that often, but seeing this scene for the first and second time I 100% completed the game was well worth it. And yes, even the Gambler challenges.
F in the chat for Arthur, Lenny, John, Hosea, Abigail, Grimshaw, including that nice odriscal. They stood loyal with Arthur but now they all are dead but some of his friends survived. May Sadie, Charles, and Jack live on.
They really did amazing on the soundtrack for this game. Every time I hear that song I suddenly feel a tinge of sadness because I associate it with Arthur.
when I killed Micah my expressions were really like when we see someone getting revenge in a movie I was shaking in full of anger and I was gnashing so much. I had never experienced this feeling of getting revenge in my life except in this game I was so attached to the Author's character I really cried for like half an hour when he died it is incredible how a game made us feel things we rarely experience truly in real life
First time I played, I went to Arthur’s grave after killing micha and the sun started to rise as soon as I stopped at his grave like when Arthur died. It made me cry again ;-; this game is so emotional
Fun fact: In the beta of RDR2, Arthur's fate depended on you're honor level. If you had low honor, Micah would kill Arthur. If you had high honor, Thomas Downes would have most likely never coughed on Arthur. Meaning that he would have never got Tuberculosis, and the vice versa would happen. Meaning that Arthur would of killed Micah, and more then likely would set out to live a peaceful life. The reason why this was cut and changed to where Arthur dies no matter whether you're honorable or dishonorable, is more then likely because it made the storyline better. A story about a man who spent his whole life as a career outlaw, slowly forming into the good man he always said that he wasn't, while the gang that he loved, saw as family, and was loyal to for his whole life slowly started falling apart, who decided to use his final moment to make sure that his life-long best friend, would be safe. A story about a man who in his final moments tried to find... well... redemption.
Man, you're lying a lot for no reason, because that never happened. Arthur was a brand-new character, and to have emotional impact they made sure he didn't live off in some far off land to make sense that he wasn't mentioned in RDR1. He was going to die no matter what, and sure, some of the side characters lived, but it doesn't affect the continuation of the 1st game. A game change that large would have been too complicated and too underwhelming to develop. There would be no story because the whole turnaround is when he contracts TB from Downes. This is a fairytale projection that you've concocted.
I tear up hearing Arthur's theme song. It's just like all these memories come back to us all about this odd feeling of comfort that we had with Arthur. And the game itself.
Having never played the first RDR I didn't know what was going to happen. Seeing Arthur die was down right depressing. And when you take control of John in the epilogue, I wanted Arthur back!
When Arthur died, it really hit the softest spot in my heart, then when i played as John, the pain was relieved a bit, at least i got to play as my old hero once more
I’d recommend getting the first game, it’s writing and dialogue is much more grounded and in my opinion, better as a western themed game. That being said it’s much more straightforward with it’s tone and doesn’t have all the emotional ups and downs of rdr2 and there’s less spectacle and cartoonish parody. It’s a much more realistic, gritty, and depressing game with old rockstar’s witty and grounded writing style.
I had been playing RDR for near on 7 years before RDR2 came out and trust me, when I started playing as John it was a VERY bitter sweet moment. I grew to love Arthur and mourned his death, but it was a wave of joy for me to be back as John
Complete all 107 story missions.Complete 10 Stranger mission strands .Complete five Bounty Hunter missions. Have 25 Chance Encounters. Survive a Gang Ambush. Clear out all Gang Hideouts This is all you need to get 100% in rdr2 story mode
Arithurs death got spoiled for me cause I never finished the game the first time I played through which was week one of it release. But after 3 years I was bound to get it spoiled. But I still played it and damn, even knowing’s fruit was gonna die, it shook me, and made me feel sad which very few things can do
My brother played rdr2 before me and he didn't get to this point in the game bc of some legendary fish.. refused to spoil literally ANYTHING to me and when Arthur died I just couldn't stop crying for WEEKS and then this CS happened and we sat there choking on tears
I chose high honor Arthur because that’s who I truly believe Arthur would’ve been if we didn’t have a choice. Helped John get off the mountain, heck I choose to be high honor John in honor of Arthur

Arthur in my opinion is one of the best, if not the best protagonist in any game I've ever played or seen. And that's the magic of the game. As a true gamer, I respect every single game and their developers for the effort and emotion they put in.
Emotional indeed.
Arthur still makes me cry

I really wish Google's search engine didn't spoil athurs death for me ffs
it did for me as well. it was the stupid, 'suggested questions' section with all the drop down questions. it straight up shouldn't exist cos it spoils a lot
same.. the game was spoiled for me. but i still cried.
still i wish the internet wasnt full of spoilers
It’s the name on the grave you’d never want to read.
I still get goosebumps at that song
Pretty much how I finished my 100% run. Doing each of the graves last, leaving Arthur's for the end.
Do you have to visit the grave last to get the cutscene
@@Oakland510 No. You get the cutscene when you hit 100% anywhere and then you automatically get this scene. I like to do the grave last.

Red Dead Afterlife
Absolutely the best game made imo
Things are considered as truth or right if majority of people see it as one, and most gamer see RDR2 as one of the best game
This is a game I would love to just lose my memory on and keep playing over and over on repeat.
“Guess where just about done my friend” -John Marston
I guess that's the only way you get to stand unshaken while the world is crashing down... dead. The lyrics and Arthur's story makes me feel so.
He got 100 percent completion.. that means this man grinded alot. props to you bro..
Thanks! It took me 107 hours and I loved every second of it, Red Dead Redemption 2 will hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life (anyway I'm a girl!)

Dutch died at the bottom of the mountain.
Arthur died at the top of one.
Micah died on top of a mountain.
Flaco Hernandez died near a cabin on a mountain.
If RDR2 Comes to ps5 I'm going to save Arthur's grave for last this is so cool
When RDR2 Comes to ps5*
@Kali Evelynn rdr1 is on ps4 if you have a PSNow subscription
after 256 hours I finally got here, what a game
The best thing you can do in RDR2 once you finished it, is to go around and look for camps in the world, some people you are going to meet who r camping have fascinating stories to tell!
its touching to me that dutch died at the bottom of a mountin and arthur died on top. meaning how he has become the bigger person wont be used wont be lied too. but to die an honerable man. unlike dutch who never stopped chasing a unknown path and his ego drove him off a cliff........literally. its very very poetic
Digging that ground would have been a pain

RDR2 and Dying Light will forever remain my favourite games of all time. The things I’d to experience this for the first time again or for RDR3 instead of GTA6
I'm not saying that often, but seeing this scene for the first and second time I 100% completed the game was well worth it.
And yes, even the Gambler challenges.
Man fuck that one blackjack challenge, also the cougar one for hunter was also annoying af
If you pay close attention, you can see 2 birds flying off, symbolizing
Arthur and John...

Dutch belonged at the bottom of a mountain. Arthur died on top of one like a real man.
F in the chat for Arthur, Lenny, John, Hosea, Abigail, Grimshaw, including that nice odriscal.
They stood loyal with Arthur but now they all are dead but some of his friends survived. May Sadie, Charles, and Jack live on.
Thanks to Arthur’s journal I’m now considering writing as a hobby because of him.
Miss you Arthur.
They really did amazing on the soundtrack for this game. Every time I hear that song I suddenly feel a tinge of sadness because I associate it with Arthur.
it's enough to make a grown man cry
and that's ok
when I killed Micah my expressions were really like when we see someone getting revenge in a movie I was shaking in full of anger and I was gnashing so much. I had never experienced this feeling of getting revenge in my life except in this game I was so attached to the Author's character I really cried for like half an hour when he died it is incredible how a game made us feel things we rarely experience truly in real life
Just remember Arthur would be alive still if it wasn't for Strauss's debt collecting
First time I played, I went to Arthur’s grave after killing micha and the sun started to rise as soon as I stopped at his grave like when Arthur died. It made me cry again ;-; this game is so emotional
Arthur non sarai mai dimenticato, ho visto la parte della cutshene tipo 59 volte
ARHTUR MORGAN TRUE LEGEND REMEMBERED FOREVER
Fun fact:
In the beta of RDR2, Arthur's fate depended on you're honor level.
Best way to finish the journey is on a high note:
By visiting the one who started it in the first place.
Unshaken is so "Arthur's Theme" and I love it so much
I can almost visualize a figure standing infront of John. What a powerful game
The sun is Arthur’s figure
I tear up hearing Arthur's theme song. It's just like all these memories come back to us all about this odd feeling of comfort that we had with Arthur. And the game itself.
Having never played the first RDR I didn't know what was going to happen. Seeing Arthur die was down right depressing. And when you take control of John in the epilogue, I wanted Arthur back!
When Arthur died, it really hit the softest spot in my heart, then when i played as John, the pain was relieved a bit, at least i got to play as my old hero once more
If you have an Xbox One X, they enhanced the Xbox 360 game and it looks amazing.

My brother played rdr2 before me and he didn't get to this point in the game bc of some legendary fish.. refused to spoil literally ANYTHING to me and when Arthur died I just couldn't stop crying for WEEKS and then this CS happened and we sat there choking on tears
Respect to rockstar for all these little bits most people would miss but they put in anyway, what a game.
the music gives me chills
It's sad that arthur gave John his hat before he died 😭
I chose high honor Arthur because that’s who I truly believe Arthur would’ve been if we didn’t have a choice. Helped John get off the mountain, heck I choose to be high honor John in honor of Arthur
I mourn for Arthur, but losing my horse Stinkey was legit tear inducing.
