“Reminds me of Mordecai and Rigby driving away from something in a golf cart” lmaoo I love that comparison. Also kinda off topic, but I saw you made a ranking of the 2024 albums and I haven’t actually watched that video yet but I don’t see the JPEGMAFIA album “I Lay Down My Life For You” in the thumbnail so I’d heavily recommend checking out that album it’s REALLY good. If you guys do a reaction to it I’d be interested in where you guys would rank it because it’s personally my favorite album of that year, the second and third places are the Tyler and Schoolboy Q albums though I thought those were sick too Edit: actually wait it’s a top 5 not a ranking, same difference though the main point is you guys should definitely check out the JPEG album it’s great
That ambient song “a warm place” was unintentionally a bit of a copy of a David Bowie song “Crystal Japan”, which Trent Reznor admits influenced his work on this album. Go check out that Bowie track if you haven’t already!
Thats interesting, because from what I understand later on after meeting and working with David Bowie it kind of gave Trent a second lease on life. Thats when he got clean from drugs and started getting buff.
This guy obviously doesn’t know about rock, screamo isn’t rock, that’s an insulting stereotype for metal, metal is also not screamo, if you read the lyrics to this album it’s says it’s about a character having a downward spiral towards ending their life
They are just trying to use vocabulary of things they are familiar with to describe what they are hearing. Cut them a break, they seem pretty open minded and enjoying it.
@surrealchemist sorry but I don’t like it when people act like they know something when they clearly don’t, and I’m sick and tired of hearing the word screamo, I have heard that as an insult way to much, metal helped me through my trauma, so I’m not letting anyone insult it

The album was really good! I listened to it when it came out and there were a lot of bangers on it.
@@HiighNotes Nicee I’m glad you enjoyed it, imo he’s probably one of the best modern producers
Reznor did the soundtrack to the original Quake, which is why the nailgun ammo had the Nine Inch Nails logo on the box.
wtfffff i had no idea! Even tho i haven't really played it IK how much of a classic and influence quake had so that's insane to hear!

@ I’m sure it was a positive influence on him but I think it was a few years later after the next album “the Fragile” before Trent got sober
Great reacc to an album I've loved since it came out.
You should check out Year Zero.

Thanks for the info! Didn't mean to categorize everything into one genre, but we're still learning about different genres!
