A bit more context for the Iron Warriors and Fists rivalry:
In short, both Perturabo and Dorn were superb engineers and builders. Like, superhumanly good. But when the Emperor began the conquest of galaxy, the Imperial Fists were put to conquest and fortification, while Iron Warriors were given the most grueling and tough sieges or horribly understaffed garrison duty. Perturabo himself wanted above all else to be an architect and, though he was never very social person, this fed his bitterness, especially since Fists were lauded and his marines got no recognition. Pretty much the final straw was the Imperial Palace. Dorn and Perurabo both wanted to be the one to build it. Emperor picked Dorn and Perturabo took it badly. During the Heresy they were *very viciously* storming the Fist-manned positions.
Also, Alpha Legion. My personal headcanon is that half of them are loyal and half of them are traitors, but half of the loyalists are deep-cover traitors and half of the traitors are deep-cover loyalists. And no one knows anymore who is who.

Fun fact about Night Lords, they're as horrible as they are funny.
There's a scene in one book where a Night Lord succumbs to the influence of Khorne and start getting on killing sprees on the ship's crew. One day, he goes too far, and his Captain calls him and says: *_"That's it. You are now officially marked as a Sinner. Paint your gauntlets red and meet me on deck in ten minutes."_*
The Night Lord in question starts feeling intense shame for his actions and for being too weak to resist the corruptions of Chaos. And now that he's branded as a Sinner, he's essentially a dead man walking waiting to be put down and/or sacrificed in battle.
And then he looks around and wonders out loud:
_"Where the fuck am I going to find red paint?"_

Another good one is when a small squad, 3 of them, Talos, Xarl and Uzas were boarding an imperial ship, seeking to find directions so they could escape it blowing up, xarl grabs a fleeing crewman and loudly asks where the gunnery deck is, so loud it blew out the guys eardrums and frightened him so much that he pulled his bolter and shot xarl in the face, which bounced back into his own face and killed him. Yeah, bit of a long story but Uzas used to go on rampages when Khorne’s influence took over.
Occasionally running amok on the lower decks and killing anything that he could find.
At one time a daughter was born to one family on the lower decks of their ship, a rarity as almost all of them had been sterilised by warp exposure.
She died in a boarding action from the Blood Angels when Talos had promised her protection using an old Legion medallion as a marker.
Some time later her grieving father began stirring up dissent until Talos, with unusual restraint for a Night Lord, confronted him, told him that he had personally avenged his daughter’s death and desecrated the corpse of her killer, and told him in no uncertain terms to knock it off or he would come for him.
Some time later he was found dead and Uzas was blamed for it, leading Talos to mark his gauntlets red in accordance to an old Nostraman custom.
It turns out that Cyrion, one of the more jovial Night Lords and one who had stood by Talos since the start who was…somewhat addicted with a psychic emotional vampirism for fear had been behind several killing sprees below decks as well to sate this addiction and had let Uzas take the blame for it.
Following a severe head injury after clashing with the Eldar Pheonix Lord Jain-Zar, Uzas finally began to remember clearly and confronted Cyrion shortly before First Claw made their last stand, intending on making Cyrion own up to what he had done and clear his own name, only for Cyrion to attempt to kill him to keep it quiet.
Uzas survived the initial attempt but his precarious grasp on sanity snapped at the attempt and he tried to kill Cyrion, forcing Talos to kill him none the wiser, thinking that Uzas had finally crossed the line.

Also there were “jupons”, a padded textile garment worn over a plate cuirass, primarily worn by the French, because they fought the English, and the English had lotsa bows, and even though arrows can’t pierce a breast plate, the arrow shrapnel can be bothersome so it’s better to safely catch the arrow in the jupon. Also it was sometimes fashionable to rivet a layer of linen or velvet over a cuirass popularized by “brigandine” (a type of armor made of multiple small steel plates riveted to a layer of cloth) for purely aesthetic reasons.

@@PyrokineticFire1plus, they wrote which legions fell to chaos, as well as several daemon primarchs existing. In order for that to work, you need to explain how they got there. So Angron being found way after Guilliman, even though Ultramar's border was right next to Nuceria, and some of the worst effects Angron underwent could have been avoided. But they wrote the order the primarchs were found in, rather than not locking it in until they decided on a good way to have the primarchs fall. Hell, if Guilliman found Angron, the Red Angel may well not have turned traitor

Funfact: the type of power armor that the Raven Guard wear (that some Marines in other chapters wear) was built to be more lightweight than other types of power armor. And the first models were given to the Raven Guard for testing, and the test was so successful that they named the pattern of power armor after Corvus Corax.

Night Lords being Bricky's favorite isn't particularly concerning. Short version of why they're likable is that they have some REALLY good stories written about them that give them enjoyable characters who are terrible people yes, but are actually somewhat sympathetic in their own way. Turns out growing up on probably the most depressing planet in the Imperium means they've all got issues and some tear jerker backstories.

For the record, Bricky jokes about the Dark Angels not actually being loyalist but that's really just a meme. Dark Angels are pretty damn loyal, they just suck at acting loyal, because they'd rather seek atonement for something nobody knows or cares about over actually helping the Imperium with issues that matter. Their biggest fear is that the Imperium will find out some of their marines turned traitor thousands of years ago and it makes them ultra paranoid.
Also, my favorite legion is the Ultra Marines, gotta love the legion who is actually focused on getting stuff done and being damn good at their jobs

For context regarding Legions 2 and 11.
In actuality they were intended to be the "Make your own Space Marine Legion" factions. One for Loyalists and one for Chaos.
But eventually the company Games Workshop decided against it.
So now canonically both Legions have committed crimes so severe, so unspeakable that they have been completely erased from Imperial history and even from the memories of other Primarchs. They're aware they existed and were their brothers but the reason they were erased from history have been removed from their minds.
At one point Rogal Dorn of the Imperial Fists dragged the giant stick hanging out his butt over to Terra to confront the Emperor's right hand man Malcador about why and Malcador said "It was you who asked for it." and when Dorn argued against it he was given the memories back and was "Yeah, that was the right call. the basic idea behind "magnus did nothing wrong" is that Magnus did many things wrong, but most of what he did wrong was done because some people and entities were fucking with him. to name a few:
Leman russ and him had a bitter rivalry. still probably do. causing Magnus to go a step too far each time, making a slip every time.
Magnus knew of the making of the heresy, and wanted to warn the Emperor, tricked by Tzeentch, he, basically, opened a rift to the warp, flooding the universe with chaos spawns.
Magnus tried to stave off the mutations warp powers gave to the thousand sons. made a pact with Tzeentch, once again. but didn't work. now they are almost all dead.
Desperate, his second in command tried again to stave off the mutations himself. ended up using a ritual that thanos snapped a good chunk of their legion, making them basically dust piloting armors at the whim of a puppeteer. 1/10 would not recommend
also, the empire, accompanied by Leman who wanted to piss on Magnus' ancestry once more, burned Prospero almost to the ground sealing Magnus' fate into asking Tzeetch for salvation, Tzeentch did save him and the rest of his legion. but not without basically eating their souls and making them his slaves.
basically, Magnus did really horrible things causing the downfall of his legion, and contributing to the downfall of humanity. but he had pure intentions. so if he wasn't treated as the black sheep because he leads psykers, and if him and his legion had the proper help for their mutations and powers, they probably wouldn't be like that now.

So the reason why he skipped over the 2nd and 11th legions is because officially those two legions had all of their records regarding everything from their primarchs, their homeworld, etc. either expunged or completely destroyed. And it seems like that the reason for may or may not have happened before the Horus Heresy so it isn't known if the Legions themselves had any part in it be they loyal or traitor. Nobody knows why and it's a big fat mystery and that is constantly referenced in the books.
Unoffically, I think Games Workshop left those two blank so be a creative free space for people to just make up their own unofficial legion without trying to connect them to back to an already existing legion or primarch. So if you want to make an reverse Death Guard? A loyalist Space Marine chapter focused with having lots of apothecarians (Space Marine field medics) and buffing units up thanks to performance enchaing drugs? then Boom. There's your missing 2nd Legion, the Sacred Hearts or whatever under Primarch Lazarus Hippcrates. Want a chaos undivided traitor legion that specializes in using feral, mutated war beasts? Then boom, there is your 11th Legion, the Dark Maws under Primarch Dogfart McBumblefuck.
