  • No Torch Creme Brulee Recipe Anyone Can Make
    Ingredients:
    1 ½ cups cream
    2 tbsp sugar
    3 cardamom
    3 egg yolks
    2 tbsp sugar
    1 tbsp water
    ½ tsp lime juice
    Instructions:
    1. Pour cream in a pot along with cardamom and sugar
    2. Bring the cream to a boil on low heat
    3. Strain out the cardamom
    4. Gradually add sugar as you whisk egg yolks
    5. Pour in the cream as you continue to whisk the egg yolks
    6. Preheat the oven at 350 Fahrenheit
    7. Bake the crème brulee for 30-40 minutes
    8. Boil sugar with lime juice and pour it over the baked crème brulee
    9. Ready to enjoy!

    Cream brûlée is my favorite. I never thought about making the caramel sauce separately. Great idea. Didn’t want to spend extra money on a pricy torch which I will hardly use.

    Wow ! One question - should I pour the caramel over the pudding when the pudding is still warm or when it has attained the room temperature? Also after it attains room temperature should i cool it further down in the refrigerator and then add the caramel? Thanks!

      Refrigeration to make sure it's completely set underneath would be my guess. Then pour the Carmel and let it set in the fridge again
