  • F-15C vs MiGs Air Patrol | Balkans Mission 13 | Falcon BMS
    Watch as I lead F-15s escorting B-1s and F-16s to take out Banja Luka Air Base because we took heavy losses last mission and need to take it out again. We also had a SEAD flight protecting us from potential SAM threats. Watch our previous Mission 11 to see what happened when we got jumped.

    the f15 cockpit looks so good in BMS love that kinda mint green color for the radar screen, very asthetically pleasing

    You got that F15 down, the pit is very impressive. Long gone the days of using F16 pits while flying other aircraft. thumbs up (29)

      Ya its really nice to use a different jet. It is a very capable jet and I love it.

    Haven´t played BMS since 4.34 in 2018 when i gave it up in favor for the DCS F/A-18C Hornet (well, and later the F-16, F-14, F-15E and Apache). BMS is still a great sim, hands down. But i could never go back from VR in DCS, the immersion is just breath-taking. Anyways, glad to see BMS still getting love and people sticking with it. The combat flight sim genre needs way more attention, like back in the mid 90´s when these games were AAA titles!
    Almost forgot, nice video and a superb strike mission. Good job!

      I have DCS and am not interested in anything other than the F-16 so DCS disappoints me in that realm, if I have free time I would rather play BMS every time. Graphics and VR is not a priority for me. Being flight lead and commanding 12 other pilots is good enough for me. There is nothing like being able to see my note pad and write down some notes.

      @@AviationPlus Fair enough. If one is only interested in the F-16, BMS is a great choice. Beeing able to play the dynamic campaign in MP is something i miss in DCS. But as soon as you prefer other fixed wing or even rotary, DCS is the way to go. VR isn´t the priority, it´s just the cherry on top and is unbeatable in terms of immersion. And not only that, dogfighting, AAR, formation flight and carrier-landings are so much better to handle in 3D, yet alone because the dimensions fit the real world size of the aircraft.

      BMS now supports VR since 4.37 ;)

    • @r4dio4ctiv3man9
      @r4dio4ctiv3man9 4 місяці тому

      @@savageod4125 It does. But it is rather on the level of a VR mod (like the VR mod for GTA V or RDR2), than natural VR implementation. Haven´t tried it by myself, but from what i´ve heard it´s not close to the VR experience in DCS. However, i´d have to try it myself to judge it. Still have the original Falcon 4.0 CD laying around somewhere, just no optical drive anymore. So need to figure out how to get it installed :)

    What are your thoughts on the F-15C in BMS. I love it!!

      Good, highly capable with the AMRAAM, but not as user friendly of a HOTAS or displays/ cockpit as the beloved viper. I think it Will fundamentally change BMS mission planning.

      Looks pretty cool. Is it using alot of F-16 sounds or is that the way the 15C actually sounds?

    How do you setup headtracking so smooth? Is there a huge deadzone in the center? A huge curve in the sensitivity? Its like you always snap so perfectly to where you want to look while always coming back perfectly center.
    I got into dms (and flight sims) 2 weeks ago. I just completed the first 2 training missions and feel like ill need to redo them lol, so much stuff. Cant wait to actually do stuff in the game other than fly around and practice landing.
    Cheers for your content, its amazing and immersive, even though to me it looks like a very casual flight since I have no clue whats happening on the MFDs lol

    • @AviationPlus
      @AviationPlus  5 місяців тому

      It takes time to get used to your TrackIR after a while it is second nature to look around and know exactly where you want to look. That is what happens when you fly at least twice a week for 8 years.
      Missions can get very busy as you can see in this one but there are always some that are even more busy and thus taking a lot of brain power to keep up. Also being flight lead is another story of its self. There are a lot of things going every second.
      I love making content and these longer videos seem to be sitting right with the viewers. Also I think the text commentary helps as well.

    What software is used for multiplayer voice and is it based on radio freq/channel? Or is voice radio built into BMS?
    I use SRS in other sims this sounds similar.

    • @AviationPlus

      We use IVC and it is built into BMS and yes frequently and location based. If you are too far away it will be difficult to hear someone.
