- Just added another great product to my Accord. This PRL front pipe has an awesome fit and finish. It was a pretty simple installation and very few tools needed. Heres a quick list below.

The PRL Motorsports front pipe upgrade promotes optimal airflow and is recommended for customers who have already purchased a downpipe upgrade and are looking to push his or her 2018+ 2.0L Turbo Honda Accord even further.
Our design utilizes 16 gauge mandrel bent 3" tubing, CNC machined flanges and high quality, reinforced flex-section. All components are 304 stainless steel and fully back-purged on site to withstand high exhaust gas temperatures. Pair this with our 3" Downpipe Upgrade for maximum exhaust flow and performance! I ordered mine yesterday. Months ago, I had a cold-air intake, catted downpipe (prl) installed and did the ktuner (reflash) on my 2019 Accord sport 1.5L Manual transmission, so excited to see/hear/feel the difference after my frontpipe is installed
How’s your clutch holding up? I have the same car but not sure how the oem clutch would hold up
@@austinwolfe2373 Like a dream! Now, I have just under 19K miles so, but I have tracked my car once, and sometimes take a few on-ramps like a race track. I was going to do a light-weight flywheel, but my Parts guy (HeelToe - look him up he's great) told me I should not do a flywheel until I need a new clutch, and to do them together and maybe put in a Civic Type R clutch. So eventually, that's what I'll do. In the meantime, I'm doing a cat-back exhaust, PRL Intercooler, and Acuity short shifter parts. It's gonna be great!
@@thosetwodudes awesome! So the CTR clutch fits the 1.5T Accord? I keep hearing it doesn’t fit. Do you know of any aftermarket clutches that would fit as well? I’ve been dying to do downpipe/front pipe but haven’t since I didn’t want my clutch to instantly slip or grenade itself

Like with me, he could have sold me a flywheel but was like "you really shouldn't replace the flywheel until you need a new clutch" he's truly about what's best for you and your car

So I put the hanger in the lower hole and now the vibration is crazy since it’s vibrating on the subframe and having trouble trying to get it to the top hanger

I wouldn't bother getting one of these without a downpipe to go along with it. That's where most of the sound change comes in.
I’m about to dive into this and some more. Can you tell me what the torque specs are for frontpipe and Downpipe? I can’t find them anywhere.
Also can’t find a service manual? Seems Honda wants you to pay a tech. Any idea where to find a service manual?
Hey man i have a 2018 2.0t......i found this site for a type r turbo upgrade .....maybe look into it for a future build.....site says direct replace.....anyways Axion Industries....would be a cool video....might be getting it myself...

Awesome!!!! And quick question. When installing these downpipes does the car say check engine and will it pass your state inspection?
Well this is a front pipe so this particular part will not cause a cel. My catted downpipe from rv6 went aroud 700 miles or so before causing one. You can still pass just reset the light and drive at least 20 min before getting your inspection that way your readiness monitors are good to go. I'm due for my inspection next month so I'll be following up with what happens

@@DanVilla7 Even with a catless downpipe you can disable the cel with a ktuner, allowing you to pass emissions
@@tiberone5957 from what I know once you have monitors that aren't ready/turned off it wont pass. With my phearable stage3 I have 3 turned off and show not ready. Have you successfully passed? If so what state?
@@DanVilla7 Dan, I'm also in NYS. I've found a different way around the code issue since I haven't flashed my PCM, but I'm quite certain you can have one of your readiness monitors not ready. Check NYS emissions for your year vehicle. With the tune, how many are not ready? If it's within the state allowance...Go Bills!
what happened to your v3 taillights?
Heres a video of what was happening. I ended up sending them back. I ended up swapping all of the factory bulbs with leds

Random question but what PSI do you keep your tires at? A little lower than recommended for better traction or what the door/tire says?

Did you have to use a different rear motor mount for this front pipe as prl suggests on their site ??
I didn't change mine. I don't even see what one has to do with the other, no big gains where it would make a difference like that
@@DanVilla7 agreed . On the prl site is says something about longevity and using a rear mount upgrade which seems a little silly . Just wanted to check with you first . I plan on that the prl hvi and penguin ethanol

What happens if you go from stock to stage 2-3 chips and intake
You can just run a tune with an intake only if that's what you're asking
I just recently got a 2021 accord 2.0t sport, what things would you recommend doing that wont void the warranty??
Contgrats! A catback exhaust or in our case front pipe back exhaust, intake are usually things that won't cause any issues, along with cosmetic mods

@@simranjotpandher7880 most of the 2018-2020 stuff fits except a few of the front lips because of the difference in design of the bumper
I stripped one of the screws from the shield (Phillips screw) do u know which one it’s (part #)?
I do not, but if you go to one of the online honda parts websites you can get a diagram and get the part # that way
I had my installed and it’s touching the rack and pinion there is not that much clearance
That's interesting... mine doesn't touch anything at all. No vibrations or rattles.

Hey Dan, I think I am going to get one of these front pipes because I’m looking for a little more sound. I want to keep the stock downpipe because I want to keep the car untuned (to keep the warranty). Is it smart to install this front pipe with the stock downpipe? Any thoughts?
The real purpose of this is to increase exhaust flow and make some more power, it's not really for sound. I'm not sure it would really be worth doing with the stock dp , I got a little more sound so I would assume you would get even less of a sound difference
@@DanVilla7 yo Dom - PRL makes a Catted Downpipe which is the best of both worlds. I would go that route.

Hey Dan. I saw that you have the RV6 down pipe, but went with the PRL front pipe. Any specific reason you did that combination? I want to know as I am considering the RV6 combo.
It just looked like a nicer quality piece and was also Type-R ready at no extra charge

Yeah I'm running the stock exhaust the rest of the way back and it made a difference
Were you on a stock DP in all your other videos?
I've had a downpipe for the last 8 months or so. This is the middle section of the exhaust called a front pipe.

Congrats nice ride! You can do an intake, catback exhaust as far as performance parts go. Motor mounts shouldn't cause an issue either

Yes it's post cat so it will have no effect on emissions
Yo Dan, do you think the popping is only from the front pipe? do you have a resonator or upgraded muffler/exhaust that contributes to the popping?
It gave a little more of that sound. I do have an rv6 catted dp and tune. Front pipe back is stock

@@jcmanc46 I'll answer just for fun, I would say I've added at least 50+ probably closer to 60+ hp. I've got the intake, catted and front pipe, KTuner Stage 2. So I'd love to go up against a stock 2.0L Accord and see how my manual transmission 1.5L hold up! I'm also doing an exhaust and short shifter parts too, so that will make it even more sporty when I take it to the track this year!
