Great leader and their great disciples and their great journey is so excited to about lineage between Teacher and student. I'm thankful for this precious Dhamma gift 🎁🎁🎁❤️❤️❤️🙏
I respect & love these Jathika stories. Jathaka stories must be read and remembered by all, no matter what religion one belongs to. They are waking up great human qualities in everyone who read or listen to them. When people learn them through animal lives these meanings give more inspiration to people, than learning from human stories. We will treat animals with dignity and compassion. This means, we begin to spread love & compassion to all living beings. Humans can't learn and perform compassion with doing it on animals at the first place. Therefore, I think animals are, great opportunities and objects for humans to improve the true human qualities in us. Also, it's noteworthy to mention that animals should never be considered as our food. They also love to feel loved and respected. This world is giving cruelties to animals excessively, which is wrong! One who does not love animals will never love a fellow human being for sure!
That’s not Buddhism. Animals eat one another in a most cruel way. Millions of animals and insects are killed by farmers to protect vegetarian food. Per Buddhism meat is allowed as long as the animal is treated well and no killing on new and full moon.
🎙️When Rohanta was caught in the noose, he still didn't loose his mindfulness. This was really an eye opener. And this is what the power of self analysis / turning inward is. Here is the great lesson that, the gap / space between the thoughts that gets created because of practicing meditation helps so much to take a pause, reflect and then take an action. It was so compassionate of Rohanta to think about his fellow members that they should not leave thirsty. Such a pure heart with no selfish desires. And also, while his brother Citta - miga approached him to rescue him, he was more concerned about his younger brother and old parents at home rather than his own life. Even his younger brother too played such a great role that instead of fear, he attempted to rescue Rohanta and to face the destiny with dignity. Great work. Thank you for the Jataka tale. And I guess, these 80,000 deers of the past life might be the practicing monks in this life during the Buddha's time.✍️
