    Also wanted to say,...use of the craft stick to hold the wires in place,....simple genius!!👍💯 I love it.
    Gotta get some when I pick up wire.

      Oh Man! I should’ve rewatched this tutorial before commenting & for that I apologize 🤣🤣🤣 AND that music 😳😳😳 is way too loud! Ugh!!! Believe it or not it doesn’t sound near that loud in the editing process OR on my iPhone!
      Anyway…Yes on heating up the wire, components any way you want…just knowing that it makes a difference helps!
      I’m still watching so I might have more to say 😂

    Awesome pendant. Loved the process, brings back memories of doing leaded glass projects. I have the copper foil, tho the solder had lead. So will look for new, safer solder. Can't wait for the next project you show us! Thanks!

    Oh your pendant is awesome :) And really helpful video for me because many people told me the partina especially copper color doesn't work on lead free. It seems really hard work, but I have to buy it because of lovely results! Thanks for sharing video!

    I just bought some fingertip covers and haven't tried them yet, maybe a waste of time. I loved how your piece turned out. I think it reminds me of an Asian temple.

      Hi there! I didn’t find the fingertip covers very helpful with the soldering because I felt it reduce my sensation & I felt clumsy! I use my trusty washcloth more than anything else now! 🤣
      I do use them all the time for filing & sanding pieces tho so I found the perfect use for them! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 😊

    Oh,....I love this organic look!!😍🤩 This is beautiful!!A great way to use up leftover bits of wire as well. I also just picked up these little finger protectors at my local dollar store, I had the same idea.😊 Do you like them?
    Just a lil tid bit if it'll be helpful,.... I have been trying to address the temp and solder issues as well. I found with doing resin that it doesn't like the cooler temp of my stone pendants, and watching videos, found that some people were heating the resin on little coffee warmers to get better curing results. (There are small silicone coffee warmers) I haveI tried heating my pendants before resining, in front of a little portable room heater,...and it works great! So my thought is to try heating the components ( stones ,wires, bails, etc) before I solder them, just on a heat pad of some kind. That way maybe the iron won't have to do all the work of heating the surface to be soldered. I think it might work really well. I have a regular hot pad, but was considering getting the little silicone ones, because technically I could solder directly on it. Anyway, its a ponderment. Let me know if you try it and how it goes if you do.
    I'm currently living vicariously through you. I was so excited to try out my new equipment and got it all set up,...only to be slammed with a migraine that just won't quit.😤 So I'm like a kid that got to open the coolest present, but they aren't allowed to play with it.😮‍💨🥺🥺🥺
    Lol😂,...its just sitting there taunting me! But this design is giving me crazy ideas, so thank you for the inspiration.🥰
    I also have a thing about three's for the spiritual aspect.✨💖✨
    Have an awesome day!😊

      Thx so much! I just love trying different things, some work & some don’t! 🤣🤣🤣
      I didn’t find the finger tips very helpful regarding the heat & they’re rather cumbersome as I need to feel what I’m doing in addition to seeing, if that makes sense? I mostly only use the finger tips for sanding & filing with hand files, rotary & Foredom!
      So regarding applying resin as a sealant…I haven’t tried the technique you mentioned as I’ve moved on to just using polishing compounds instead. Also an interesting idea to consider about warming up your components but I’m not sold that them being warm will help the soldering process since we have to work at high heat anyway! 🤔 🤔 I’m not sure I’m THAT organized to pull that off either 🤣🤣🤣
      Oh Nooooo on your migraine! Sending soothing vibes for a quick relief & On with the Adventure! If you’ve got tons of ideas you better write them down so you’ll remember! Sometimes I can’t get them down on paper quick enough before I forget! 🤣🤣🤣. Feel better! ❤️‍🩹

      @@karensintuitivejewelry thank you😊. And thanks for letting me know about the finger protectors too. I'll try the hot pad n see if it helps at all. I know right?! My mind will drop stuff as fast as I can think of it.😅😅😅

    I used to do stained glass years ago. I have rolls and rolls of copper tape and of the solder. Now my focus is silversmithing but this project is a rabbit hole I think I am going to try! What is the surface you are working on?

    • @karensintuitivejewelry
      @karensintuitivejewelry  Рік тому

      Lucky you that you’ll come into this with such great knowledge! Honestly I learned alot from the stained glass community mostly because there’s so few tutorials about the Tiffany Method jewelry creations! I’m using a simple heat resistant mat like electronic technicians use & got this on Amazon for about $20! I love it & totally forgot to list it but will do that now! Make sure you get lead-free solder…..you know which one I prefer! Thank you for your support! 🙏😊💜

    Looking for some advice here, I have been using Silvergleem and am about to run out. I love it but it's so expensive. Can you suggest a different brand you've tried that works ok.

    • @karensintuitivejewelry
      @karensintuitivejewelry  7 місяців тому +1

      I started with Sterling from Harris & it’s what I use when I’ll be applying patina! Here’s a link. Its price is the same as Silvergleem BUT you get twice the quantity so it’s really 1/2 the cost in the long run!
