I played bari sax in high school, one of my band directors played bassoon. He was responsible for my sections group lessons, and he’d always rock the sax parts on the bassoon. I thought then, i think now, it’s such a beautiful instrument. This performance was great work, keep making music, keep living

Bro these clef changes are straight bullying for any bassoon under college level

Honestly, it just takes time. I used to think the same back when I was in high school, but by senior year you get used to it. Also, once you know the music well enough, you don't really look at it that much

because tmea is full of monsters that try to get you to have a breakdown while playing your music

It’s to make it “easier” to read high notes. It’s a pain to learn, but after a while (and with a lot of practice), you get used to it. And in this piece, it’s to see how fluently you can move from bass to tenor.

bro as clarinet player WHY TF ARE THERE CLEF CHANGES FDSAFDSAF

Because the bassoon can go to the Bb below the bass clef all the way up to like the 2nd F above the bass clef staff. Switching to tenor clef helps the bassoonist read high notes... once they're used to it, of course. It definitely takes time to get used to.
