Great video, very informative. Stumbled upon your channel only a week ago, subscribed right away. What comes regarding wired controllers I was sort of against them until I realised that now I started playing mainly on my monitor so the cable sitting close to the screen is not an issue at all.
Still no advantage to a wired controller though
@@n64slayer a wired controller has clear performance advantages, including lower latency, a more stable connection, and no need for batteries. This can be crucial for competitive gaming. However, wireless controllers have improved and offer greater convenience, so it really depends on whether you prioritize performance or flexibility.
@HypeXtra The vast majority of ppl here are not competitive gamers, so your point is effectively moot.
Also, many pros still opt for traditional joysticks, as hall effect ones are more difficult to get used to.

Would’ve loved to see a bit where you muted the game so we can hear what the controller sounds like during normal gameplay. It sounds like a very loud controller?
I turned up up the portions where I pressed the buttons, because it isn't that loud, so the audience could hear it better.
I was skeptical about this controller. Elite 2 controller had poor responsiveness and started to have failed components after 18 months. Bought the HE and wow. Incredibly well built. Super comfortable and responsive. For this price I cannot recommend this controller enough. If this controller had trigger stops if would be perfection.

Great detailed video! I'm thinking of buying the Gamesir G7 HE as well. Quick question: when you ordered from Gamesir's official website, did the invoice include Tax/VAT charges? I'm in the UK and need to make sure it's handled properly for import.
Interested in the same question. Debating on ordering one with shipping to UK although I think I'll choose simple G7 HE colour scheme.
I didn't get charged sales tax. I mentioned that in the video I made covering the announcement. I should have mentioned that is this video too. Sorry about that.
@@RedBandanaGaming It's alright. I remember you saying that in the announcement video. However, in the official discord server I saw someone from the staff saying that all of their products sold on various platforms already have the tax included. Hence, I was wondering if they explicitly mention the applicable VAT/Tax in the invoice for a better transparency to customs. Apparently, they don't. I will probably buy it from AliExpress. I appreciate the response. Thank you!
If i play mainly on PC what controller would you recommend? between the Kaleid (non Flux) and this g7 HE?

Yes they are tactile. They have micro switches
Im gonna be honest, there are so many better options for not only $60 but $50 too, don't belive me? Try looking at the Machenike G5 Pro, G5 Pro v2, G6 Pro, G6 Pro Starflash, Flydigi Vader 3 pro, Vader 4 Pro, and Apex 3...
I was a GameSir fan when the T4k released and since then they haven't improved on anything in the past 1-2 years. They didn't capitalize on the hype and now Flydigi and Machenike are dominating the market.

Yes, the new Machenike controller has slightly better specs, but it hasn't been properly tested and taken apart by anyone yet, and it's from a less reliable brand imo.

No the d-pad is also mouse click mechanical switches likes the face buttons

The dpad of G7 SE is too loose.

@@felipecavalcantisoares7746 well thats surprising bc me is the opposite, i cant do combos in bloody roar like with the g7 se, combos are easy to do with membrane dpad. i dont like the switchdpad is hard to press my fingers fatigue. im gonna sell this kaleid and buy the flux one. because this kaleid is superior in vibration, 1000hz native in windows 10 and 500 hz have audio, i think the flux is the same but with membrane

I really wanted to get this controller but they sent me a email saying 15% off total order. Then no way to redeem. Talked to chat they said no discount at this time. So THEY LIED. Not sure I wanna do business with gamesir😓

I've been waiting a few days to watch your review as im loving my G7SE overclocked to 1000Hz for my Xbox Series X it's so rapid. So thats confirmed i can overclock the G7HE the same
How you do that then 1000hz for xbox with the scrip or something ?
Im really dissapointed with gamesirs mechanical buttons. Whole point is for quick consise presses with feedback and longevity. These have a super long travel and the return mechanism is a piece of rubber so its going to wear out and get stuck just like a membrane switch. My mechanical switch should not feel like mush.
It's called hybrid, and this isn't a pro controller, it's for the casual gamer that happens to be broke
Bro are you have problems with Gamesir Nexus app? My left trigger is not registering when I do the calibration....still works great but the calibration is not working
No. I used the app on both PC and Xbox. I was thinking of doing a video covering the app and how to upgrade and test the controllers using it. Would that video help?
@RedBandanaGaming anything helps bro...had to look up the manual calibration...that seem to work fine...I did notice some type of drift on the on the left joystick...not sure if there some type of break in period
@@4gottenWarriors There's no break-in period required. If your controller seems faulty, consider getting a replacement if you think it's necessary.

Does it support 1000hz for xbox like the G7 se?
The G7 SE doesn't reach 1000hz, it only goes up to 500hz.
The G7 HE has a good chance of reaching 1000hz.

@megax_senpai319 the G7SE does overclock to 1000Hz for Xbox you just have to change the report rate on PC first
Do you know what third party thumb sticks work with this controller, it seems the power a fusion 3 sticks fit the g7se would be nice to know what fits natively

When I plug this controller in my Xbox series x I and I download the app the app tells me that it doesn’t detect a gamesir device. Do you know why that is ?
That's odd. I've connected to the app on the PC to update it to 1000hz and it just had to be on. Then I connected to the Xbox Series X and booted up the app and it recognized it right away. It even recognized it was at 1000hz. 🤔
Try connecting it to your PC. Download the Nexus app from the Windows app store and try updating it there first. It should work either way, Xbox or PC.
@@RedBandanaGaming thanks bro imma try this when I get home the controller feels amazing just a little bit on the smaller side but I’m used to the elite 2 so hopefully I’ll get used to it lol I just can’t stand how often the elite series breaks

Nice looking controller, but it's a damn shame it's still wired.
I don't care that much about latency, as I'm not a pro gamer, and pro controllers aren't only exclusive to those ppl.
I just wish Xbox and Sony weren't so scummy about licensing controllers, and were more open like Nintendo are.

It's because Gamesir can't afford the wireless license, or it would raise the cost of these controllers too much.
Does it support gyroscope?
No. It's an Xbox controller. Xbox does not gyro functions.

Why do you hate wired controllers so much? Wireless has too much latency. I've really noticed it these days with the official Series controllers now that I've been using wired hall effect controllers like this. With the Gamesir, you can use unlock up to 1000hz polling rate and it's just so much better than anything else. Try one sometime. You might change your mind.
@RedBandanaGaming I don't see a need for them. I'm just a below average gamer and I don't notice any lag. Maybe I would use one if I was a pro gamer. My tv is like 20 feet away from my TV too. That's a big reason.

Xbox doesn't give 3rd party companies the xbox wireless protocol, and the controller is literally cheap

These days, you can easily get 1000Hz wireless controllers with a 1ms delay.
Wired only controllers are not practical anymore.
@Non8bitgamer Not true, the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra and Victrix Pro BFG are both wireless Xbox compatible controllers.
It's the same case with Sony, as it just seems only big companies are able to afford the wireless license.
