- this is my first video that I made in 3 hours when i should've been studying for midterms :)
quick lil bio / stuff abt dorms -
-i live(d) in Cheney Hall, Unit 1
-i'm currently a sophomore now! (freshman when i filmed this)
-major: electrical eng + cs (EECS)
-i had a double so i paid around $16k for the entire yr
-i lived on an all girls floor but most are co-ed

SO pretty!! My dream college is Berkeley, and at the age of 13 all this is pretty exiting!! cant wait to go to college!! Ik you posted this last year, but could you do a bit of a campus tour if you havent? :))

i love this video! I’m an incoming freshman and i was wondering if it was hard to get a double room as a freshman? Also what are your rankings for the dorms at cal? Thank youuu
Honestly I got really lucky with a double! Most of my friends have triples but if you are a Regents Scholar (or room with one) you'll definitely get a double. I honestly consider Unit 1 or Blackwell #1 (Blackwells more modern & bougie but im biased towards U1 LOL) Unit 2 #2 (its basically U1) Unit 3 and Clark Clerr #3 (U3 is rly old/kinda musty, Clark Kerrs far, but BIG) and Foothill + Stern 4th just bc they're on Northside and a little less social I would say? But they're still pretty nice and it all depends on what you're looking for! I would say U1 is ideal if you're looking for a pretty social environment thats in Southside and close to most of the other dorms (also literally right next to frat row). Hope this helped!
Could you share where the bedcovers and other pillow is from? It's mentioned on the video @ 1.50 , but somehow from the sound being low, I could not understand clearly. Thanks
I got the bedcovers in a store in LA's Ktown (forgot the name sorry))): ) and the pillow is from Target! They're just white covers though I think Amazon should have some!
did they provide the fridge and microwave for you?
I absolutely love your room!! Do the mini fridge and the microwave come in the room or did you buy them?
My roommate and I bought them! I think they're sold through the university, most if not all students usually buy them at move-in! Also thank you :))
I believe they are rented out by the school $110/yr. I read it somewhere on their site, I think under housing.
How much is your dorm per academic year? Is it considered as a standard room in Unit 1?
It was $12,865 for the whole yr (triples are $10,475) and yeah this is pretty standard! most rooms are doubles or triples :)

How do you like Berkeley? It's one of my top choices and I would love to hear your experience at the school!
I honestly love it here. A lot of people (including me) complain about how hard it is, and it definitely is challenging in every aspect, but overall its been an amazing experience so far. I might do a video talking about my freshman year soon!
