- Here is a look at the mini suite buildings at UC Berkeley, Unit 1. We lived in Christian Hall as freshman and really loved how close we were to campus and how spacious the rooms were! We hope this video gave you a better idea of the layout of the minisuite rooms and hope to see you around Cal :)

Nice tour! Do you feel that being in a suite, behind an extra door, impacted your social connection with the rest of the floor?
It definitely did a little, but through orientation (which might unfortunately look a little different this year), I made really good friends with the people on my floor and we would always hang out in the study lounges together or cook downstairs. Overall, it definitely requires more of an effort to be connected to your floor, but I think it was a tradeoff I was willing to make for the suites! Hope that helped :)
How do you guys put up the tapestries? Like do you have to buy command hooks/strips or does the wall have a bit of canvas on it so that you can pin them up?
Yes there was a bulletin board on the wall so we pinned it to that!

Are these dorms available for freshmen?
Yes! They are pretty much only available for freshman, besides RAs.
