Possibly you are about to graduate now but - can you actually "cook" in your room? or is it mostly microwave stuff. How is the allotment done for apartments , blackwell hall etc.

my friend got accepted out of the waitlist and posted about her commitment to Uc Berkeley and she said “ finally gonna be somewhere where I’ll be happy” and I’m like WHOS GONNA TELL HER ???? 😭😭 get ready for no life 😭😭
Berkeley can be overwhelming but if you balance it right you can have a life haha hope she is having a great semester!!

My son is looking at different universities and I wanted him to chose Berkeley because supposedly the engineering department is good. We’ve been to campus many times and my son took some classes there. It’s actually much cheaper for us to send him there than out of state but the dorms are horrible. The areas around campus are so unsafe and scary even for me to walk. My son chose to go to UTA in Texas. It’s going to be more expensive but they have much more space and the campus is beautiful and feels much safer than around Berkeley. It very sad to see how little the local authorities have done to make this campus safer for students. I feel sorry for the kids and parent who probably had some traumatic experiences already.
