Hi Kat! I bought that a couple weeks ago and plan to use it after Christmas when I have time. Thanks for showing it to me again so I can remember how it is done.
Amazing product! Love the look of wood burning, but with arthritis in my hands doing an actual wood burning is painful! Something to add to my wish list! Thank you for showing this technique! Pure magic!
Karen, this is for wood only. I haven't tried the store stencils but I would imagine if you use the dobber to place the torch paste in place, you would have similar results.
I love this and have it. Yours are so clean, really beautiful! Any advice for keeping the entire surface from burning too much? Is it the difference in the wood possibly? Tia
You don't have to join Chalk Couture unless you want to purchase them at 40% off but then you are also held to a quarterly goal of bringing in $50 a month worth of product. You can visit my Chalk Couture site and purchase from me without signing up. The link is in the description box below
Just found this tutorial today and ironically I had a customer ask me today if I could make a sign for a hunting themed wreath that has the last name on it of the person they are purchasing for I didn’t know this stuff existed is there a way to do what they are asking for with this process? Also do you have a tutorial for with a hunting theme?
I just recently got around to trying off this technique. I had trouble with my wood warping. Do you have any recommendations on how to prevent that from happening?
You need an adhesive to prevent the paste from going outside the transfer. I haven't tried the non adhesive ones to see if it would give the results you want Ruth

Wow this is so great ….
Thank you so much.
Love this stuff! I'm going to have to try doing some.
It is so easy to do Constance.
Can you use stencils from the stores? Also, have you tried this on 4×4 ceramic tiles? Would they crack/break from the heat

Yes, make sure you don't keep the heat gun too close and keep the gun moving.
Can you stain your wood before (or after) using the wood burning paste? Also, where do you get the squeegee?
I would stain it afterwards because the stain itself might become flammable.
Where do you get your stencils
Hello Kat
Hello and welcome Gloria.
Can you paint the wood and then burn?
No because the heat gun would bubble and remove the paint, Frances. It must be painted afterwards if you want to use paint.
Love the signs! I can just buy the transfers through you or do I have to join chalk couture?

I don't at this time Birdy, but you can always check out Pinterest for some great ideas.

Yes, make sure you are not using it too hot or placing it too close to your surface. It's likely getting too hot.
Do you ever get white or pale spots in the burned torched areas?
I have not experienced any of that while using the product.
What about non adhesive stencils?
You need an adhesive to prevent the paste from going outside the transfer. I haven't tried the non adhesive ones to see if it would give the results you want Ruth
How much does the chalk paint stencils cost though?
It will all depend on the size and detail of the design. I believe most of mine started at $4.99
How do you seal afterwards ❓
You can use a clear non yellowing lacquer Donna
Where do you get torch paste
You can order it from Amazon using my Affiliate Link: amzn.to/3woNh2P Trust me too a little goes a long way.
where can I purchase the bear and snowman stencil used in this video?
You may find them on the Chalk Couture but all of those are expired or discontinued.
Question, why did my paste bubble when I used the heat gun? Im disappointed by the way mine came out…..help….thank you
Did you burn it on untreated wood? You may have set the heat gun too close to the sign or didn't let the paste dry before using the heat gun.
Hi Kat where can I find those stencils?
You can purchase them through Chalk Couture!
I know this video is a year old but there is a lot of brands of torch paste and sizes on Amazon…( Jan. 2024)
Yes there most definitely is now. I love using this product because it works so wonderfully.
