You are a great teacher. And such a sweet person. I love you videos, especially the rounds. I'm retired 70 years old and a widow. I needed to keep myself busy and purchased a Cricket Exp 2. I have made every mistake out there. 😆 My projects are for my family and friends, but if I had someone who wanted me to make something special for them I would want it as perfect as I could make . I can't believe you are near giving birth to a baby girl. God bless.
OMGosh I am so envious, you have spring weather! I’m in Iowa, we got 60 degree temps onS aturday and then Sunday night/Monday early morning we got 3 inches of snow. Love you channel, Thank YOU so much.
When you're using the 4-in hot dog roller the end of the roller gets more paint on it because you're not using that end when you were trying to explain the marks that the end of the roller leaves they're called lap marks. Like you were doing you always go over your work with long strokes from left to right and top to bottom which will eliminate the lap marks in the end of your roller should always be hanging off of your work on the last stroke so there'll be no lap mark. The least amount of pain build up gets on the inside of the 4 inch hot dog roller so as your painting top to bottom the end of your hot dog roller that has roller nap on it also should always be off of your work on the final stroke. Sometimes as we're dipping a roller or using our roller a lot, we get too much paint on the inside of the outside of the nap which needs to be removed especially when doing finite projects. I always recommend a wet painless rag to wipe off the inside of the nap that's closest to the roller arm and the outside of the nap. Doing this will eliminate mostly all of your lap marks. Also when you're applying paint to your roller I apply it at a slight angle as not to get too much paint close to the end of the nap that wraps around the four inch roller, it causes roller spits, excess paint build up, and lab marks. So keeping the ends of your roller nap as clean as possible and if any build up occurs the wet painted snap is the best way to wipe off all that excess paint and will prevent problems in the future. You're right frog tape is extremely expensive and reusing it on small projects is a great idea. Your painting process is done well I just thought I might explain what those lap marks are from the roller to the average viewer and why they happen and how to prevent them. You did a wonderful job explaining it.
You, young lady, are a riot!!! I love your wood rounds. You are a great teacher! I wish I were able to do projects with you because you are a ray of sunshine! My husband and children call you my best ie! Anyway, please keep teaching. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the knowledge concerning the Minwax Helmsman Spar. I thought that the water-based would not survive TX outdoors.
So…I’m up to the wood round with the tissue paper, and I had to stop to say, these are absolutely stunning!! Like completely flawless! If I had to pick a fav, I’d go with the American flag, but really each one is more perfect than the last! Love love love every single one!
Not only did I learn some new techniques to making door rounds but I have several of these rounds and needed Inspo for them. Also, you gave me confidence on making UA-cam videos when you said you record from your phone ❤️❤️❤️
I love your monitor! I have a large monitor and hooked it up to my laptop. I can see my images so much better. By the way, your rounds are simply beautiful. You gave me so many ideas.
Can’t wait til you are finished! These first two rounds are absolutely gorgeous! That flag is awesome! May have to comment later in video, but had to say this so I could concentrate on rest of video!
Sammie...you are just precious Gal!! I loved every dang one of your rounds! Absolute perfection...as you say!! Thank you so very much for sharing your talents with us!!❤
Hi Sammi! Omg what gorgeous wood signs! Thanks so much for the inspiration ...I love doing woos signs. All your tips will be so helpful. Stay blessed my friend...
I have looked into your amazon store but I did not see the small brush roller. could you please add it so that I can get the right one. I love this video!! Thank you for sharing you projects.
You have become my favorite crafting UA-camr! I love all your videos and that you are so real! Thank you for the bloopers at the end, too! You always make me smile! 😁
Hi Sammie, I’ve recently started watching your videos and I love your work! I bought the Folk Art paint and a foam roller and thought I’d try doing a Dollar Tree round. I seem to get a lot of texture after rolling it - three coats - help! Maybe I should buy the Rustoleum Chalk paint… not sure what I’m doing wrong! Help! I guess I will try to sand it tomorrow to flatten it before putting on the stencil…
Thank you so much for this video, you shared great information for wood rounds. I took notes, lol. I was going to make one this week and I’m so glad I saw your video first, now I can make it right before I hang it outside. This was very helpful! 😁
I use Walmart clear contact paper, I seen someone do a test against all the transfers tapes and contacts paper and Walmart clear contact paper was just as good as the expensive transfer tape and works just as good but so much cheaper and u get more.
I do a LOT of wood rounds and every time I would spray the matte rustoleum before the brush in polyurethane, it left a funky finish and the project was ruined. I can’t tell you how many rounds I ruined when I first started. I’m guessing the wood you use for your rounds makes a difference. So on a side note, I have learned so much from you! I’ve already taken notes and will be purchasing products from your Amazon store link. I love watching your videos!
You are giving me the confidence to make some wood rounds. I’m currently cleaning up a room that’s eventually going to be my craft room and the first thing I’m making when it’s finished is is a wood round for my friend’s new backyard bar!!
Oh my these are gorgeous sammie! You are so talented. Thank you for sharing! Ember is doing well she is up to 2.5 lbs now and she has redish hair and blue eyes. She will be coming home in late may. I hope you have a blessed day!

I am so pumped, my first rub on transfer arrived. I went with essential stencil I guess I can't show you a picture of it but I've been taking my time and I took a peek and it's sticking quite well to a nice thick round.!
