Dont be angry at professionals just doing their job, most likely they're waiting for your teeth to grow as much as possible before getting braces. Im not that much older, im just 13, but im getting braces next month since all my permanent teeth grew in when i was 12. So they have had time to grow. I get you're inpatient, I am too! Cant wait until next month :,)

I’d love a video about “expectations”. I am admittedly a perfectionist and I’d like to know what is reasonable to expect. I am about a month or two away from getting them off. I always (respectfully) ask a bunch of questions at each appointment. I am nervous that I will be disappointed with the results. Also, can you break down expectations based on age if that is relevant to outcomes. Can we expect perfectly straight teeth if we follow the instructions?
I am 3 months into this journey. I’m 64 y/o. I would like to see if the mature adult journey has a lot of variations from a much younger brace recipient.
I had braces for several years as a teenager. I hated them. Food would get stuck. I'd nick my tongue on them. The tightening process made my entire mouth sore and it was hard to eat. I'm never going back to that.
An important theme is how to avoid extractions and recessions together. When doing orthodontics for crowded teeth with adults, any "bone / head crowth" like with children is no longer available. So extraction therapy may be done. But doing a 4*4 extraction in adult age may result in loosening of 3 and 5 teeth. This loosening is often reported. An therapeutic answer would be, to rebuild the bone in this area with PFR technique like done in implantology. But this is not a common procedure, although a few documents about PRF technique around living teeth can be found. An alternative may be palate expansion. There the 6 Molars got strong forces to the outside, which may result in recessions, which may be expecially difficult to repair on upper molars. This may happen with children and adults the same. There may be alternatives to traditionals palate expansion with operative weakening of the palete before expansion or to use artificial anchor implants to save the teeth from strong expander forces. The next import theme to discuss is the early treatment of children. If using the time between 6 to 12 years for "smoothly" expanding / developing the jaws, perhaps extraction therapy can be avoided. Smooth child time expansion may be reached with loose activator / bionator / expansion plates or with fixed appliances which use thin wires and are worn over several years. This theme would be very worthful to discuss for parents, which want to avoid extractions therapy and want to get a treatment plan idea to reach conservative orthodontics without later recessions. You should discuss this theme in more detail !! And do not speak so nervously fast. This may save 10 % of video length, but it lowers the quality of speech and video production quality.

I have watched the videos on your channel, on cases of tooth extraction, but my case is different in each clinic, there are cases of extraction and cases of no extraction, implanting more implants in the position of baby canines , because the 2 underground canines were incurable. I'm afraid with the extraction it will make me unable to put the upper tongue and this leads to many bad consequences, but the lower jaw is afraid that it can't be even without extraction, I also want better facial proportions but the function is still there. Hi doc I put on braces to open a space where I had a tooth removed. That was not closing and the space was not wide enough to fit a tooth. Two years and four months later I have an over bite my other teeth are not touching, I have teeth without partner. How could I not have partner for my teeth when I have the same amount of teeth above as below. I got a root canal while in braces a few weeks ago. A cavity went unnoticed by my general dentist due to the spot it was in, the X-ray didn’t catch it and I didn’t notice it until it started hurting! Got my wire removed, went to get the procedure done and then got the wire put back on right after! They said I will need a crown after I’m done with braces..

I have damons. They dont require the color ligatures and the wire attaches by a little door on the bracket. I'm allergic to nickel and my ortho wanted me to go with the clear damons and said they would give him more expansion without an expander than traditionals. I'm 6 months in and ortho says he has definitely seen the expansion already that he expected

What kind of braces do you have? Do you have the ones with the sliding door(Damon braces) or the traditional kind where they use ties to hold the wire in place? If you have Damon, like I do, then they don’t require ties so you won’t get to choose a color unless you need power chains.
Hi Doc. I’m almost into 6 months of braces. I’ have really gapped teeth especially my front teeth. This last treatment was painful for almost 3 weeks. The pain just subsided but I noticed that my right incisors tooth kind of shrunk. It got shorter and shaking? I read online it’s a form of resorption and you could lose the tooth eventually but I’d like to know if this is something that happens and should I stop treatment. This started happening since the power chains within the 3rd month of the teeth.

Can you explain the difference between Damon and Traditional braces please?? I have pre work I need before braces and I am researching and reading a lot about braces.
I have damons. They dont require the color ligatures and the wire attaches by a little door on the bracket. I'm allergic to nickel and my ortho wanted me to go with the clear damons and said they would give him more expansion without an expander than traditionals. I'm 6 months in and ortho says he has definitely seen the expansion already that he expected

What kind of braces do you have? Do you have the ones with the sliding door(Damon braces) or the traditional kind where they use ties to hold the wire in place? If you have Damon, like I do, then they don’t require ties so you won’t get to choose a color unless you need power chains.

Hi Doc. I’m almost into 6 months of braces. I’ have really gapped teeth especially my front teeth. This last treatment was painful for almost 3 weeks. The pain just subsided but I noticed that my right incisors tooth kind of shrunk. It got shorter and shaking? I read online it’s a form of resorption and you could lose the tooth eventually but I’d like to know if this is something that happens and should I stop treatment. This started happening since the power chains within the 3rd month of the teeth.
