Hello there, If done properly IPR doesn't damage your teeth because it's considered into the safe range where you remove max 0.5 mm of the space between your teeth. It's true that your enamel will be reduced but if you take care about the health of your teeth as usually where you brush and floss, they will remain healthy without any issue.

My teeth is almost 90% same as above video. My orthodontist extracted 4 premolars. Its been 10 months. I am 29 years old now. I am worrying now. I would have take opinion of other orthodontists 😔 Please tell me is extractions doing bad? Will it ruin my face?

Hi Premier Orthodontics, May I ask for your opinion, per my evaluation I have crowding on upper/lower jaws and irregular alignment of teeth. My left side is normal for the most part. They want to extract 4 premolars. Is extraction really necessary per the findings below? Extra oral findings - facial profile normal - no facial asymmetry - 100% incisor display Intra oral findings - thin gingiva on lower anterior - crowding upper and lower arch - upper right later incisor in crossbite - upper incisial anterior wear - normal molar relationship on left side
Probably not, I have moderate crowding (the upper canine issue not the chipped) too and the orthodontist told me I'd need regular braces. But then my teeth are "sturdy" so really you'll have to get a consultation for a proper answer

How much IPR did you have to do on the UL to be able to move the UR 3 into position? That’s a lot a space to make to pull it into the arc

Get tooth extractions. I didn’t get them initially and I regret that decision daily

Why are the teeth more yellowed after braces?
you have to take extremely good care of teeth with braces, cleaning in between the wires, all kinds of angles with the brush, it's not easy
