Went to a similar place when I was a kid some 20 years ago in Victoria on Holiday. Guy that worked there gave me a hot tip for Rainbow trout, Sweet Corn kernels on a simple hook and sinker setup, I caught 10, my dad netted a sick one 😂 They had a restaurant attached as well so we were able to eat some of what we caught. To this day, rainbow trout is my favourite fresh water fish and my be close to favourite overall, when prepared and cooked correctly, absolutely delicious

Tyson Bates only if it’s a native trout like the galaxias truttaceus. Otherwise just take what you need
they all hold to together because it safety in numbers?...IDK...big fish would be happy to gulp them down with the least effort.
