Interesting video. I wanted to comment on how I'm actually reading Tokyo Ghoul myself, finally, many years later after watching most of the anime as it was airing back then, though having now forgotten most of it. I'm happy to hear you comment on how hard it can be to follow the fights, as that has been something I've found to be a shame reading it myself. I enjoy it still, but I find this to be a common issue for a lot of manga I enjoy. I remember reading Usogui as well and while the art was stunning at times, the fights were really hard to follow as well. Looking forward to future uploads from ya.
Honestly, when I read TG, I ended up zoning out on a lot of the fights because of how hard they were to follow, but in terms of story, the series is still one of my favorite manga to this date (it was one of my very first manga as well).
@ I’m used to saying manga because when advertising my graphic novel or whatever you want to call it, if I say comic, people are more inclined to assume it’s tropes are more in line with superhero’s and that it will be colored. If I say manga, people’s expectations are set to the fact it’s probably black and white and that the tropes are closer to ones in manga. Even if by definition it isn’t correct, it’s more efficient to call it a manga. That being said if I’m talking to someone who doesn’t know anything about manga or anime and it comes up I say I make comics lol
