How old are you now? And where are you staying at?
I have education benefits that pay me for school. German college is €250 a semester at most. I picked schools in an area with lot’s of teams. Plus my best friend lives In Heerlen, NL and I have a female in Dusseldorf.
Hola Jose ! On the links youve posted here in comments such as eurobasket i found some agents and only lists of teams/standings. Is there for example some site where clubs publish tryouts or requirements for certain positions ( im on 1-3) I think on level of ProB . Something like Spielerbörse wienim Fussball I am playing college right now. Best regards

@@DaNilo19921 sometimes EuroBasket only has standings and team names up. Other times it actually has the entire roster so it can be really hit-and-miss. Usually the higher the level, the more information that’s known for the league. From my experiences, the best place to find tryouts is just by following the teams themselves on social media. They’ll usually post it there but if there was a single website with all the tryouts that would be good.
Interesting video. How many tiers/teams in the German basketball pyramid are professional? Can you get a work-visa to Germany without being on a pro team? Can you find a part time job as an American in Germany?
Рік тому+3
1. There are 11 tiers in total. Usually the first 4-5 are considered professional. Even though there will be players who aren't paid within those conferences. It all depends on how you define professional, I guess. But the first 4-5 divisions will have imports and foreigners getting paid. 2. Yes - you can get a work visa without playing on a team. 3. Also very possible finding a job there as an American.
Thanks for how quickly you put this video out Jose hope to see you in Germany soon also how should I go about trying to reach out to one of the lower teams with no film? 🤙🏻
@ yup you nailed it as in how should someone strategize how to contact without any film , I haven’t been able to find leagues around me to get the film due to covid but I have been working with some legit d1 players to be ready for the next level also thanks for the response as well.
Hi Jose I forgot to ask you if you know if clubs in proB League in Germany paying their players ?

Yes - there are definitely a lot of clubs paying in Pro B Germany! It's not the highest salaries but it is more commonplace for the majority of player (especially foreigners) to get paid in PRO B.
Hi Jose , 1 question, iam college player and k wanted to know how can i find clubs for tryouts in proB league in germany ?

Many of them can found via EuroBasket. www.eurobasket.com/Germany/2-Basketball-Bundesliga-ProB.aspx Another way to do it is to go through a lower-level team. For instance get signed with a Regionalliga 1 team and then get promoted into Pro B. Another angle is to go through an agent/agency in Europe. There are also a few tryouts in Germany that happen annually.
Thanks for infos bro. Where exactly are tryouts that happen annualy ? Every link/site except this u wrote is useful... i found one directly on club's site but didnt get answer 😆
To be honest i lack of video material which is probably useful in this cases.. but i guess there should be a way for people to have chance

Most likely you would have to relocate to this region entirely. Without film or experience it will be very difficult for a team to take you on. It sounds like this is something you have been considering doing (i.e. attending college there). This is a big commitment though so think it through. Another option would be to develop your skills, player profile and connections (network) through the semi-pro system. This option is under the assumption that you are American though.
When’s the appropriate time(example months), for attempting to try out for teams there? That matters.

Germany runs in the traditional European basketball schedule so roughly Sept - March. Prior to the season (June - August) would be a great time. The half way point (Xmas break: Dec - Feb) when many teams switch out imports is another. Playoffs/playoffs push is the third (March - April).
Many clubs in Berlin. Download the app and make a list. See where their home gyms are and go in person to tryout. Lower-level clubs will gladly take you on if you are good enough. Good luck!
I am in Germany in Göttingen am trying to find a basketball team. My dream is to play pro and am really scared that I will not reach there because am 23 now and it takes a long way to reach there. I need your advice. Thanks!

You can do it. Are you German? What level are you currently playing at?

What division are you playing in Spain? The basketball community is very small everywhere and word should travel. Spain is no different. Use your coaches and organization as connections. If that fails, go to Eurobasket and find your desired clubs. Make a list. Find where their home gyms are located. Go and tryout/speak with the coaches there. Good luck.
That will really depend on the league and team as always. If you are trying out for a team and they don’t know who you are then I’d advise you to assume nothing will be covered. For that reason you’ll have to be able to sustain yourself to begin. But if you prove yourself then opportunities will open up.
Please tell me they’re not making players get vaccinated. I can’t take that risk. Feel like I will never achieve my dreams now because of this thing

In Germany I don’t believe it is required. But they have something called 3G that you must prove in order to participate in sports. Either you are double vaxxed, have recovered from COVID or got tested for it. The 3 options represent the 3G.
@ Well I recovered from it but how do I prove that? And when you flew there was it required? My trainer went there because he used to play in Germany and he said nothing was required when he went but that was a month ago
