My daughter's name is Ava too and she has fine curly hair. Mine is super straight so I had no idea how to manage her hair and most products I see are for different textures.
Thankyou so much for this tutorial! I will try to use more chemical free shampoo/conditioners on my daughters hair. She has very curly hair and I have very straight her like her dad so we didn’t know where the curls came from because both grandmas have fairly straight hair. But my mother in law said one of her grandparents dad had slightly curly hair. I guess it skips generations
My son's hair is just like this. I'll have to look for that gel that is the only thing I don't do to his hair. It would probably help a lot like you said with locking in moisture and holding his curls.
Any tips for the carseat? Every time we drive more than 10 minutes her hair gets completely squished in the carseat and is basically a flat frizzy mess. Does product prevent that?
A styler absolutely helps but it depends on how much your kid moves 😅 You could try putting it in a high lose pony just while driving (called a pineapple) or there are silk caps for kids which can protect their hair. If it's a special event I will take a spray bottle and brush and restyle it when we get there 🤣
Thank you for this tutorial. I'm glad i finally came across an aussie mum using affordable easy accessable products. I wanted to ask if you would use the same products and routine for an 8 yrs old?
My daughter is actually 7 now! We have stepped up to using Clever Curl and everescents, they are from the same Aussie company and I can't rate them highly enough. The leave in curl treatment from clever curl is absolutely incredible! Thanks for watching!
her hairs look so cool wanted to check the gaia shampok and garnier hair food and styling gel are they all cgm approved products? can you please share how to make detangling spray at home?
Hey! So I have a video on the spray. As for the comb it's scrunchie brand and I got it from big w in Australia. The towel from chemist warehouse but you can just use any microfibre towel or even an old cotton t shirt to dry the hair. It can also make it easier if you switch their towel to microfibre and use that for their whole body too.
thanks. especially the morning routine helped a lot. Showed me that i don't make it wet enough. Do you try it in some way, it's cold outside atm so i would be shitty to send her out with wet hair in the morning :)
If your kid doesn't mind noise than you can diffuse her hair with a hairdryer to dry it. Otherwise if you need to walk outside you might need to consider doing a protective style at night light plaits or braids which she can wear straight from bed out into the world. I live in Australia so it doesn't get that cold here, sorry! Good luck and if you find a good solution leave a comment incase someone else needs to info
Great tips thank you! I have to figure out how to get my 15 month old to keep her hair ties in she takes them out straight after, I guess it’s about persistence
My daughter goes through stages of this, I end up just putting lots and lots of ties in her hair and braids which tend to stay in even when the ties come out. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing. My daughter gets her hair from her daddy n idk anyone with curly hair thats a female so no one knows how to care for it so I've been struggling to find a hair routine that would work for her without getting frizzy. All I need to do now find a way to get her to sit still so I don't feel like I'm wrestling a alligator everytime we do her hair.
My girls hair is so curly & gets bushy so easily, can you tell me what you use to spray her hair in the morning please 😊and what's the shampoo conditioner and gel etc u use? Xxx
Hi! So we have used a couple of brands but the best so far is everescents which is an independent Australian brand. We also like Cantu kids range. I add some of her regular conditioner to water and a drop of lavender oil and spray that in the morning. We also like Gaia baby detangling spray and Cantu kids conditioning spray. To finish her hair I either use the Cole's gel or the curly girl mousse from everescents. The brush was originally from Big W and I think it was the scrunchi brand
Yeah of course, I have a video with the spray, but it's 90% water, 9% conditioner and 1% either lavender or eucalyptus spray. You can also add some homemade flax seed gel and that will give it hold all in one step
No probably once a week. I shampooed and conditioned twice a week when she was this little because she would put sand etc in her hair but she's older now and I can cut back to once a week.
I used it with my daughter at that age and it was fine, some people have found build up. If she has sensative skin or very fine hair then everescents no fragrance range is amazing, but it's a lot more expensive and only online. Good luck!

Thats gorgeous! Using the mousse, gel or custard at the end actually helps so much to maintain the mousture and only wash wiuth shampoo once a week if possible. Obviously if they are little, this isnt always possible but you can condition the hair without needing to wash to help moisturise it.
Did your little girl around 1 years have her hair being thick at the back but thin everywhere else and loads of tiny curles in the back. My daughters hair tends to curl 24-48 hours after a bath once the natural moisture comes back into her hair but seems very frizzy after a bath and being dried. Do you have any tips I could use to help her hair it is just so dry and frizzy after her baths and I have no clue what to use she’s 13 months old

Thanks for your suggestion. Coconut oil forms a waterproof barrier over the hair is used long term and makes hair hydrophobic. AM I THE ONLY ONE?! A few others it seems.. feel the few dislikes are because of the rough nature of 1. The brushing baby girl's hair; brushing should be gentle and a bonding experience, even when rushed! And 2. What is CG?
CG stands for Curly Girl, which is a method of haircare. To find out if a product is Curlky Girl, you can use the Curlbot webite.
U shldnt use so many chemicals on such a smqll baby and garnier is a very normal brand and it wld have sulphates and other chemicals harmful for babies
Thanks for the feedback, however the products I have used on my daughter are low rox and do not contain sulphates, silicones, alcohols etc. They are curly girl approved and are very safe for toddlers. The gaia products in particular are well worth looking into, they are lovely!
@@amyofmelbourne i think they maybe misunderstood you! Gaia and garnier sound similar 😅
AM I THE ONLY ONE?! A few others it seems.. feel the few dislikes are because of the rough nature of 1. The brushing baby girl's hair; brushing should be gentle and a bonding experience, even when rushed! And 2. The pigtails look WAY too tight! not good for her head or for the hair, I don't care how "cute" it may appear. I have a toddler girl.
Thanks for the feedback. I can assure you I am never rough with her hair. The video is sped up so it makes it look a lot rougher than it actually is.
You’re doing an amazing job. Everyone can see how much love and care you’re putting into your little girl to Make sure her hair is well maintained .
well you can go ahead and do your child's hair loose and not right and leave this mom alone. :) yeah two years ago but just am finding this video sorry for late response. but I absolutely hate people judging others on their parenting. little girl isn't complaining right ? she's fine. she's so happy and well behaved, such a sweetie. love it.
Ok not bad except for the cellphone use!
Needs must, though she is 5 now and doesnt need to watch anything and has her hair done everyday. She even does it herself sometimes!
