    I subscribed in a fraction of THE FIRST second watching this video. This is THE reason why UA-cam exists. This is THE reason why we can have good things in our world. Islamic Architecture and geometry is always EDUCATION.
    I can't stress enough how important this is for our generations. We must recover these traditions in Parametric Architecture and understand the indivisible nature of the ornament, structure, façade and space. The epitome of or technology is the unity of these fields in architecture, artistry and sculpture.
    you are deeply generous preparing this HAND WRITEN and HAND DRAWN material for us. It is simply BEAUTIFUL. I woke up this morning finding these channels. It is a gift.

      use a sharp 2B pencil and press firmly so when you turn it over it will transfer

    I tried it so many times but couldn't make those 10 points accurate in the beginning. It is so much confusing. Is there any other method for obtaining those points?

      if youre a beginner, id suggest starting with an easier compass and ruler construction, see www.samiramian.uk/youtube and I suggest some starting points. Good luck!

    As-salam alaykom, Dear Sister, Thank you for this excellent explanation. Are you aware of any information available about the pure traditional Islamic colour palette and what is the best colour combinations to use for specific purposes? I am in fashion design and i want to get back to authentic colour schemes, but I can't find anything clearly written about it. How did Islamic artist and designers decide what colours to use where and when? How did they know? I say this because they got it perfect everything they did and the benefits for the soul are tremendous and when the colours are off, the pain for the soul is .... well you know....we don't like neon colours and hot fuscia pink dresses. In sha Allah you can advise me. Jazakallahu kheiran! Barakallah feeki!

    • @samiramian
      @samiramian  3 роки тому

      wa alaikum asalaam, i think you have a term that is not helpful "pure traditional islamic colour palette", how can that exist when muslims have existed in such diverse cultures and times....so perhaps the best thing you can do is to research the patterns in a particular time and era. For example, zellige patterns in Morocco have such wonderful colours and combinations.

    • @tabassumiman5531

      @@samiramian As-salam alaykom wa ramatullah wa barakatuh! Shukran, it worked. One thing leads to another and from my researching zellige patterns in Morocco, I was able to track down Medieval colour palettes etc.. It an a very under-researched area. jealousy? I found a site you might like, in case you do not already know about it. muslimheritage.com/ This site is fantastically inspiring for a Muslim, and so are you.

    Let me add my two cents. This is a strict construction of a planimetric symmetric group. If you study permutation groups, specially the wallpaper symmetric groups you will understand deeper the mathematical algorithm that generates these patterns.
    Islamic geometry is strictly a MATHEMATICAL endeavor. One of these is the Penrose tilling. Symmetry AND asymmetry is one of the branches in the Islamic Geometry discipline. It almost borders with Origami folding and structural tilling.
