- Today I was finally able to drive the route I have always wanted to drive and that's the 96!

I can see why you like the 96 and I would imagine it's a much nicer route to drive than the 177, the fast bit to Bluewater must be the best bit. I can imagine a small n/s mirror being a pain. I know what you mean about the 492, probably just not busy enough to justify a frequency increase.
Buses 19745 and 19743 are very quick 😌 the 19800’s are very sluggish. And the Scania’s are complete perfection. 👍👌

Every 30 mins is pretty standard in Dublin especially in the suburbs
I knew that when you uploaded the video and spoke to you on Instagram earlier in the week that it would be full of you saying how much you love the route and I’m definitely with you on the fact that it is great. Glad you enjoyed it. I still look out for you when on my way to and from school as well. Gotta remember to check the 96s as well now

Thanks for posting - that's the first time I've seen someone so happy doing an 11 hour shift! Looking at the areas the 96 goes and the faster sections of road I can see where this would be a lot different to driving the 177. I'm guessing the 96 is one of the more popular rotas, certainly when I was living in the area I spotted a lot more old white shirts and Stagecoach 'stripes' uniforms on that route than any other. It indicated to me it was one of those routes where once someone was on the rota, they wouldn't come off! Hope you get on there soon : )

At least if you get onto the 96 Rota (Or 422) it wouldn’t be too bad for you if Bexleyheath or Dartford won the route at renewal if you live on the 492 route (I.e you will have a reasonable trip to work and not crossing half of London!)
Great route! You'll always get a few 96s come at once thanks to Dartford's bad traffic, i've been using that route for years, and you're right the 492 is a joke, great route but no service.
I went on a London Bus ages ago it went between I think East Croydon and somewhere else and it went across this heathland bit in South London where people were flying kites. The whole trip took about 2 hours. Edit - it was the 54 from Elmers End to Woolwich.
Great video!! I went on the 96 earlier and I had 19743 haha... I do like this route a lot and I personally prefer diesels to hybrids on it tbh, also was this 19860 by any chance?

@@TaylorStraub ahh right I thought that I can recognise it haha, 860 in particular is a bit sluggish... it really doesn’t like hills!! I did it on both 96 and 161 and it’s performance on hills ain’t the best, however it’s still pretty nippy

The diesels ain’t bad, 19743 for example is good... 19860 is a heap tho lol

No it's a right hand drive bus
@@TaylorStraub I was being sarcastic unfortunately. If you watch the video you will see that your front facing camera is a mirror image and doesn’t look normal. It can be changed in settings.

Yes I believe it runs between Canada Water and Tottenham Court Road
We get you love the route but your not saying why? Is it scenic, low passenger frequency, Quiet roads traffic wise? be good to know.
I love this route for a few reasons. 1. It's one of my local routes. 2. The route is a straight line. 3. They have the best buses

Doesn't the 122 go through Forest Hill and Sydenham?🤔I know it goes through Lewisham, Lee Green, Brockley and Ladywell. Idk where it goes after Lee Green 😂
