Bloody loved it! Feels like it was only yesterday you were at 90 subscribers - now you're past 300! Hope your dad got back into driving smoothly after that year off. Also, I don't know how you're able to control yourself with some of the things you experience, I don't know how I'd manage to not have an outburst with some of those people. Keep it up Taylor!
Yeah when you've been doing it as long as he has it becomes second nature
Thanks for your videos. I am a bus driver for the Metropolitan Transit System in San Diego, California.
Nice video! I saw you at Eynsham Drive / Blithdale Road on the 177 when I was on the E400H towards Peckham
Been loving your videos man. Starting my national express training soon, can’t wait to become a bus driver.
Good luck to you!
I’ve seen this comment and it’s a year ago but if u started the training and hope you are successful man
nice vid :)
I suppose it's nice to start with a dead run, do you go the usual route dead to Peckham or is it quicker to go the 53 route via Blackheath?
We use the 53s LOR
Great video thanks i m a new bus driver in high Wycombe
Nice
Nice! Do you prefer the Volvo MMC's or the integral ones?
From what I have driven I really hate the Volvo MMC's with a passion.
@@TaylorStraub Oh thats interesting lol, as a passenger i quite like them
Man I hate the early starts 😂 I only seen to wake up after the 1st round
I don't mind them a lot of the duties only have me do 1 or 2 trips then I'm on my break
what one do you like doing most
Hi Taylor, can you do night shifts as a bus driver or are they covered by late and early shifts, if so do you get paid more for driving night buses.
If your garage has night bus routes then yes you can request to get onto the rota's and i'm not too sure if you get paid more or not
Great video👍.The 386 isn't even supposed to terminate there😆, it's supposed to terminate on woolwich high street/beresford street, why do you hate the volvos so much btw?
Because of the crappy braking and acceleration
can you choose which bus you're trained on ? like a single or double
You have to learn how to drive both anyway so it doesn't matter really
@@TaylorStraub tyyy
i have an interview on the following wednesday with stagecoach. i would like to know what is involved on the interview day please
🤣🤣🤣 I like you x
Hi Taylor, I have a stagecoach interview on Tuesday. What should I expect at the interview? Will I have a medical at the interview or at a later date if I get the job? Love your videos btw ❤️
It’s just like any other interview they’ll just ask you questions. You do your medical after if you get through the interview
@@TaylorStraub thank you for replying. Ooo I’m so excited 😄
@@TaylorStraub I got the job! Yay 😁
Congratulations!
@@TaylorStraub thank you 😄
I’m surprised stagecoach we’ll at least PD don’t make new drivers learn all routes straight away like GAL do.
Why don’t a lot of drivers like 472 anyway ?
We call it the 47 poo purely because when everything was normal you would get absolutely rammed at North Greenwich plus you have to drive around Thamesmead which isn't very nice
I’m thinking of becoming a bus driver wanted to know a few information like .
1-how many breaks you get
2-and for how long
3- average day working hours
4- how are toilet breaks like
You get 1 meal relief break ranging from 40 minutes to potentially hours all depends on the route and the duty. In answer to your third question ultimately depends on the company you work for and the contract you are given i'm guaranteed at least 38 hours a week. In answer to your last question it depends on the route that you do some have dedicated toilet facilities however some you will have to use local shops or supermarkets to go to the toilet.
@@TaylorStraub thanks
@@TaylorStraub sorry just a few questions
1-How do you deal with tiredness while driving
2- is there enough leg room while driving
3- and how long do you wait after the end of your journey before you start another trip back
Tiredness is very subjective. Always make sure you get enough sleep and make sure you stay hydrated. Try and stay away from energy drinks and coffee as much as possible as some operators can stop you from driving until it is out of your system. There is plenty of leg room in the cab a lot of the buses have plenty of room but this is subjective to your physical needs (size, weight etc). Lastly, it depends on the route and duty you are doing. By law you are allowed a 5 min break between trips (this only applies if you are running late getting to either end). Some routes give a minimum of 10 mins stand time some are longer depending if you get to either end early. For example there have been many occasions where I have gotten to Peckham very early while keeping a perfect headway and ended up having 30 mins. It's very subjective to how well you are able to keep to the schedule and headways.
I share your frustration RE uber drivers. They are alot worse around the west end.
Do you prefer the early shifts or lates
Early duties as I then have the rest of the day to myself
Hi am new subs
Thank you for subscribing.
@@TaylorStraub No problem mate
Little heads up once’s you get to 4,000 hours watch time and 1,000 subscribers you starting getting paid off UA-cam it will become a second hand little income
I'm a new sub mate, like the videos but you need to stop walking up and down the bus dude, makes me dizzy watching it lol
What happened to your videos we want more videos from you please and thank you!
I'm on holiday
@@TaylorStraub oh makes sense I saw your Instagram post finally on the 96🥳 it was about time hopping to see more videos after your break enjoy your break
oka
The video was back to front
Whats a headway service?
It’s all about maintaining an even gap between the buses it’s not about running to a timetable as along as the gap is even we can run as early or as late as the controller wants us to run
