You can start Elden Ring with one of the best astrologer weapons in the game, right out of the gate!? I give you the how to on getting the meteorite staff weapon early. I also teach you how to farm runes in the early game very easily. Let's get a head start on the Astrologer class together!

If you head west from the church of Elleh, there is a gargoyle cave, if you farm their helm it gives +5 to Int.

From the first steps bonfire, head west as far as you can without going on the beach.
You will find the entrance near where the cliff meets the beach.

I realize I called it 'The Final Step' instead of what it actually is. My only excuse is that I am dumb... Also, The first area where to find the map for the beginning local area is called 'Gateside Ruins'. If you follow the golden trail you should be able to find it very easily. There is a gravity rock sling spell next to the meteor staff which the staff gives a bonus too
I was going to mention that plus it does a good chunk of damage( I been going through the castle with the staff and rock sling and first boss went down pretty quick once I hit about level 30 and 30 int)

There is a badass spell in that area bye meator staff the spell is called Rock Sling and it is super strong and it tracks your enemy .

@@VidjaGuys There's also some starter mage gear on a body between the staff and Rock Sling for anyone who's not an astrologer but wants to triangulate a caster (wretches, etc)

It's no Comet Azur but it's still a very good spell at the very beginning of the game.
Thanks man all I do is die was even thinking about giving up. I've started over like 5 times with different characters, now I'm the mage and I'm going to keep playing.

Yeah, I've done the same. I'm better with ranged characters, but I'm playing a prophet right now and it's pretty fun.
Prophets and faith builds are way cooler than I thought they'd be when the game first came out. I respec'd to a faith build and I ain't going back anytime soon lol
Thinks for the tip on the staff. I already had a int. of 23 and I needed a better staff. It beats continuing to upgrade the original staff at the roundtable.

You’re going to want to do a run to get Rock Fling as well. It’s much stronger than Pebble, especially against magic resistant creatures, and can be gotten just about as easily as the staff.

@@Outsider-uy2zl remember the first building he told you to turn east or whatever? Theres a purple beam and a corpse, it gives you the travel set.
I don't think that is mage armor. And how do I tell what stats the armor buffs cause I only see like the magic def,fire def ect my first souls game

What u think is the best weapon melee for mage build thas not require alot of points in dex or str? Focus in range spells but if FB runs out a good melee weapon for that case
I think that depends on what you're wanting to do exactly. There's a katana called the Uchigatana that requires 11 str and 15 dex to use. But it is an overall good weapon. Especially if you get the spells to infuse it.
Keep in mind too though, that the higher your dex, the faster you cast

I’m new to the games by FromSoftare inc. I’ve been learning the rules of this world and what does what in this game. I got the Meteorite staff but was having trouble figuring out how to equip it. "I was tired and not thinking clearly. " I chose discard item thinking it would fall to the ground and I could pick it back up after sorting my inventory. But it would seem that discarding an item destroys it. Is this true? Did I accidentally destroy a great weapon? Can I find another one or buy one?
Well I can say that it is a great weapon.... but I don't think you can actually replace it. Not that I'm aware of anyway. But a really close second (imo) is the Demi Human Staff. I'm looking into how to get it now.
On the upside though, if you really want that meteorite staff, you can get it after you make your character and I know a way to safely power level quickly (that doesn't involve farming wolves)

Heck yeah, get it. I didn't show it (cause I didn't know about it till recently) but if you keep exploring around that area a bit, you'll find some decent armor and a hard to come by gravity spell 🍻

W,A,S,D should move the cursor on the map if you're using a keyboard I believe

Imo, I think the meteorite staff is better. It scales S with intelligence and to be comparable with it the demi human queen staff needs to be at least +4
The downside of the meteorite staff is that it's heavier, but I'm ok with that

It’s really not the best staff tho? It’s a great starter staff but you can’t upgrade it nor does it have a art. Just a passive
I think it might be a preference thing, the bonus to gravity magic is helpful. And it still outperforms most other staffs, even when they're fully upgraded.
But the fact you can get it immediately after you finish the tutorial is what makes it absolutely incredible.

The S-scaling on INT makes it a top-tier staff. The single best staff doesn't exist, I believe, because it depends on which buffs you want, but this staff is as solid as they come. The fact it doesn't need any investment (smithing stones), means you can invest in other weapons, like your melee weapon, or another top-tier staff. The Meteorite staff will carry you up to end-game, especially if you pick up the Rock Sling spell in the building right across of the staff location (in a cellar without any mobs), since it gets boosted by the staff's passive
@@cornykova9902 does t work with every build plus other staffs have higher scaling. It’s a good starter staff but not the best

You can't be crouched and open things at the same time. It's a little weird like that, but the rats won't pay you any mind if you just stand up to open the door.

you cant be serious, You would just be better of glint stoning the 2 chained up giants that drag that weapon cart around.
Oh yeah for sure, there are a TON of better farms out there. I made this video like 12 hours after the game came out, before I even knew about the Boulder farm lol.
Unfortunately they made grinding too easy in the game. You can already get the best staff in game early on by killing those 2 weak mobs, crystalline summon or whatever it was I found to be way more tanky than headless which also made most bosses in game too easy, even doing it on first try like I 1 time mistakenly walked into a demigod, didn't even know it was like one of the main bosses and just killed it first try like idk...The best helm with 5+ int you can get early game as well and by early I mean just travel a bit with your horse and be done with it. Then the best talisman is very easy to get as well early game.
Didn't even have my summon upgraded and staff was only like 5+ or so. Went to kill another boss and I just stopped, asking myself what's the point, I pretty much already have the best gear in game and just lost interest quickly.
Lesson: Do not play INT in this game, ruined the fun for me.
Faith is cool but u can already get the best stuff for it early game as well.
Melee probably is the one that you can grind with the most.
Of course if you don't care that much about grinding then yeah the game I think is 10/10.
But grind wise, I don't think anything for many years can beat Nioh 2.
This is well said. It's true that you can pretty much deck yourself out in the best gear for your build pretty early and getting runes fast is super easy. I think it really works for people who just want to explore the world and story.
But I can definitely see how that would take away from the high you get with finally beating a difficult boss and getting the gear you've been struggling for in another souls game
I think it is for players like me who simply don’t have the luxury to spend endless hours in a game anymore due to busy work n other commitments but also want to experience n enjoy the game without getting stuck at a point which needs so hard grinding to progress which I will just simply become frustrated n lose interest n then never touch the game again lol
y can’t I summon?
You can only summon in certain areas. The tombstone icon appears on the bottom left when you are able to summon.
Plus you need to activate some statues to summon sometimes

@@VidjaGuys idk what he will recommend but 6 giants spawn by war masters hut like 5 mins ride from start of the game. 6k souls in about 3 mins easy kills on horseback
