Really enjoyed this. your videos are easy to watch to the end because of the pacing and the way you break it into chapter sections and change locations . the drone shots were great at showing where you were. I have to admit I think im too lazy to get one to incorporate just yet. theres a group of houses off the coast of Miami built on stilts Ive always wanted to kayak to but like you said the tides and wind can change in the open water and its scary a bit. more viewers should see your channel theres lota of outdoor lovers out there.
Thanks. Coming from someone with more experience in filming than me that means a lot. Taking the drone is a bit of a pain sometimes. And also scary too. Some times I take it and never use it. Wait till you see the video coming next week. I crashed the drone big time. Lucky it was a cheap second hand drone. You gotta pick a good day, with the right tide and trust the weather man lol. It’s the last part that gets you in trouble. When the weatherman gets it wrong.
Great video. I've camped a few times at Peel and it is a magical place to camp. I love the drone sequences. I wish I had one for my vids. I'm due to camp again in May with a few others (not too cold I hope ). Your video reminds me it is a great camp whenever. P.S. I prefer 2 nights at Peel to allow for a circumnavigation on the rest day. Cheers
I too am heading over in May for a weekend with a group of kayakers. Might see you over there lol. The drones are great aren’t they. Just expensive to make mistakes with. This is my second drone. The first one I crashed into a waterfall at top speed :( Turns out if you lose GPS signal DJI automatically switches into sports mode - Goes from 8kmh to 48kmh in the blink of an eye lol
It was used as a colony to house people who had leprosy from 1907 to 1959. Back when the disease was still around. The buildings are still there today but we are not allowed to go explore them. Angelina Jolie filmed some scenes from one of her movies there about war in the pacific. My dad tells me if you tried to land on the island back when it was operational they’d even shoot at you lol. But I love history, so being able to go look without risk of fine would be awesome.
Me and my brother were actually on the front of the tourist brochure for like 10 years , we were over there all the time as kids in boats as well. Some bloke came and took a photo of us paddling in our blow up boat
I use an app called "relive". You can take photos at key points along the way too and it will include those in the created video. You can use it for hiking as well. So much easier than doing your own animation like I did in my last video.
Great idea. Everyone would like to live on the island. Well rested from all worries. The mind is completely liberated.
That is exactly how I feel when I am there :)

Excellent video and a great place to camp.
Thanks, certainly is. If only we could also enjoy the other side of the island and the history it holds
@@Beyondthebackyard-au Hello, whats the story with the other side of the island?

@@Beyondthebackyard-au nice one!
what drone did you use? the picture quality is great
That was taken with a Mavic Air. Was only 1080p too, not 4k.
