I had the same issue with my X-Factors - the provided handlebar end would not slide in without damaging threads in the end of the bars - currently, I am running them without the inner bar mounts - better than stock - I ordered a more flexible Barkbuster parts kit that I think will allow me to properly afix to ends and as well have enough flexibility to better mount inner mounts - I am also hoping I can make work, the throttle friction lock I have which says it is for Barkbusters only... we will see - I got the white ones and it looks OK though you can sure see the bugs well! Doesn't the clamps damage the handle bar, cause the handle bar is conical? I tried to fasten them with some rubber between the clamps and the handle bar, so the friction wouldn't do any damage to the handle bars. This didn't work, the clamps moved slowly to a position I didn't want. I couldn't prevent this behavior which was caused by the rubber and the conical shape. Even when using the rubber there is still a small scratch on the handle bar. So now I'm wondering if it would make more scratches if there's no rubber used at al?
I thought that Acerbis is betten then Burkbusters in installation, but now I see that you have lots of problems. I also have installation problems with Barkbusters on T7. I am wondering why those company did not do it more simple... good video
Hi! I think Acerbis is better, a lot more different mod la to pick from. I necessarily didn’t have problems, more to the fact I wanted it more secure and not expander bolt. I’m sure a aftermarket bar end weight with threded hole is the way to go.

I've been using them for a year and I can't attach them in the correct direction (the black metal piece protecting directly clutch and brake levers) because the small aluminium components that join the handle bar and the acerbis protectors beats the gas tank when I turn at maximum the handle bar. Anyone else with this issue? Thanks
Have you twisten your handlebars rearwards? Or are the hand guards angles downwards too much? I have no problem, probably have 1cm of clearance. Do you have oem bar end weights on? Or no spacer at all? Send me a pm on IG (everything_tenere) and I can send you pictures etc
Thanks for the comment ! By far the best option for best fit and strongest attachment. I guess you could buy Rizoma bar ends though. And BB for T7 comes with bar end weights, Acerbis do not. And I cut of throttle extender tube just to have a symmetric handlebar, so same length from handle bar clamp to left side and right side. Otherwise I would had to have a longer bar end exposed on left side to be able to fit it on the right without cutting down the extender tube.
You can levar the oem bar end weights on, and bolt this straight on them. Or remove them and use the expandera plug. I just ipred to go the hard way lol, as i Waynes to jeep some weight, but not use a expandera bolt.

There is a proper Acerbis kit to install the hanguard in the T7. Price is about 20 Euros.
Yep, but hard to get. Think off the road in Germany has it.
Many non T7 leaning resellers doesn’t.

I was not worried about that, just clamped it on hard 😊

I have not noticed any increase in vibrations after chopping off the bar ends 😊.

Or possibly its a standard bolt size and you could have avoided all the machining?

Just get rid of the bar end weights, they are not needed and just use the expander bolts that came in the kit.
Well, you can say that I did 😸, but didn’t want to use the expander as it’s not as secure.
But yea, expander work flawless for sure.
