Nice! Spraying with aspirin myself today for tomatoes. I really recommend you look into a worm bin system for your own supply of worm castings. Mix some into the soil when you transplant each and every plant. It really helps with the growth of healthy soil aggregates.

Made my 1st successful batch of lactobacillus. My 1st attempt ended up just like yours, just dumped it in a compost.
The best backpack sprayer is a Birchmeyer. I was in the pest control industry for more than 30 years these are the best out there, tried them all.
Excited to start using my LAB.

I appreciate the honesty but you don't need to worry - I think good growers/gardeners accept that they SHOULD be continuously learning. I have just become a retired person, and a carer, and in my spare time I try to garden. I did it in the past but without any real knowledge, money or skill. In the years since my wife had the stroke and I have read and researched and now - 4 years later - I start to garden again. And yours are very enjoyable videos. I will try stuff but it doesn't always work. That my Yorkshire lass is LIFE. ❤ Chris/Sheffield
Spent the better part of yesterday tilling up our garden. Hoping to transition into no-dig once we have been able to remove the loads of rocks and break up the heavy clay that plagues our soil. Also plan to give the LAB a whirl as I think our soil could use a good dose of good bacteria after disturbance. Thanks for sharing!

Most of the YT channels I follow use cardboard boxes to cover the beds. You use an entire role of cardboard! 😲 Brilliant! Loved the backpack sprayer too.
It is, like people like you that bring to light soil biology... I have had great success with what I call - Plant Specific fertilizers.

Your very charming channel came up this morning on my YT feed. I've been a judicious practitioner of all things natural farming for 8+ yrs here in Colorado. Love the direction your taking. I'd advise stabilizing some mother serum with sugar to allow extending said mother exponentially. Those large extensions could be applied in volume with a sump pump to that never ending alpaca by-product and producing/creating a NEW fermented (preserved) nitrogen asset. Applying this fermented OM as a top dress to the soil with added mulch will begin to rapidly shift the microbial milieu in a more fungal direction benefiting plants from increased bennie diversity and richness, resulting in increased WHC, photosynthesis (microbial sugar allocation) and water-soluble nutrient cycling...nature's default intention. Not to mention the magical explosion of surface living red wrigglers under that blanket!
5ml per 1L distilled water/worm casting extract.
1)Nitrogen boost
2)Soil inoculant
3)Effective ipm for fungus gnat/larvae.
This dilution is effective indoors and out…🙏🔑✌️

That hail storm was crazy! 😲 Great video! I did something similar to the LAB and added molasses to it and have been using it to fertilize my plants and also spray it in my compost bin. I'm new to this method as well, so I'm not sure how well it works yet.

I just used my new 4 gal sprayer for the first time & I filled it up, & then I was like oh no this is heavier than I thought! How an I going to get this on my back? Haha!

Hi Sarah, thanks for the educational videos. I'm having a go at LAB, after about 3 days, I mixed my rice was water, to my milk, at 1 to 10. 3 days in I don't have any separation, and a touch of mould on the top. Should I be concerned? It doesn't smell offensive.
You have to try these things ,, I would imagine the more organic material, worms, bacteria and fungus is good for healthy soil which will feed your plants ,, a pile of alpaca poo would be great too ,, best wishes, Lisa
Have you ever thought about harvesting LAB from milk kefir grains/ diluting kefir and using it on the soil? Or using water kefir on the soil? Something I'm researching at the moment as I do ferment milk kefir and water kefir at home.

What type of water did you mix to dilute your LAB serum in the 1:1000 ratio?
You could go 1L:500L . Give it to your Dog and cats for gut health too..mix it into their food. Pets also love the cheese if anyones worried about it being unfit to eat. Use the LAB Serum to create Fish hydrolysate as well... It sells for $10 for 10oz or about 200ml in Canada. Its a nice phosphorous source for rooting. I hope you went all the way with it. Leaf mold teas and so on.

Holy crap, you can make plant specific fertilizers. Use the LAB and molasses to digest the plant you are working on...
Heya, does the lactic acid bacteria affect soil pH? My soil run off water PH is way too acid for my plants am I'm trying to solve the cause of it.
Also wondering if expanded clay or vermiculite could cause my pH problem.

Especially the difference between the row that received the hail as I believe the ice could bring benefits properties to the soil. So that last row maybe, just might, have the best results! Or not, maybe the ice does nothing. I'm really just guessing! But it will be fun to see!
i thought after you made the lactos basillas you had to feed it molases and so the ph drops to 3 so like 3 days or so then use

I was advised by bare mountain to do one drench, then wait 5/7 days then plant 5/7 days after that. You can also use as a foliar spray. So it would be fine to use on beds with plants in

Would putting the lactobacillus powder directly in the soil and then watering it with a tablespoon of molasses mixed in with a liter of water cause curds to form in the soil? All I want is to have the bacteria generate carbon dioxide in the soil.
Did you use no chlorinated water to spray the LAB?
It really dosent need a breathable lid once it’s finished u can burp it daily but I been doing this for a long time and if kept in cold fridge in mason jar it will be fine alsway smell it. I actually like the smell it an organic farmer thing I guess. The curd is great for the dogs stomach. My dogs go crazy over the cheese press it hard put a plastic bowl on top with water I. It to get out all the labs and dry it out. In the morning it’s like almost a. Fresh mozzarella. My dogs absolutely love it and I can tell by tier bus that their stomachs are feeling great and the fur is so shiny. It really is amazing for human aswell

@@aloneman99 1-2 teaspoons per gallon of water but it will never burn em. So for a liter I’d add a teaspoon or 2 and u can also foliar spray with it aswell. Works amazing with a lil epsom salt added

Have you tried making your own Korean Maekoli alcoholic rice wine beer that is milky white with a slightly sweet favor and so effervescent like Sprite soda pop :) so good for your gut with pro bionics :) and a bit of beer like concentrations of alcohol so you will be popular among friends that will come over to imbibe then when they find out you make it :)
on 11 march I made rice wash, on 16 march add 1-liter milk and on 23 march add 1-liter molasses. Today (24 march) birth thousand larvae. Why? Could you please suggest me?
Bug got in at some point and laid some eggos. Maybe try keep your solution covered with something breathable from start to finish to minimise contaminants.
You need to cover with cloth or paper towel/napkin at all stages to prevent bugs from laying eggs.
Couldn’t you use mixed the lab into your water gallon bucket ?since you needed to wash it in anyways??

Also, lactobaccillus is an organism. Which is why the noun bacteria is used. Lactic acidophilus surely can’t be shortened to lactic acid since lactic acid is a whole other thing. Calling it lactic acid bacteria sends the message that it’s related. Which it isn’t
lactobacillus is the bacteria which is being cultivated... they feed on the lactose in the milk and create a waste product - yep, you guessed it, lactic acid... which essentially kills any and all other bacteria in the solution, so the end result is a lactic acid solution filled with lactobacillus bacteria. ✌

Use this to make cheese. Put it in a bigger container and add milk.
You shouldn't use rice wash water, raw rice contains a harmful bacteria. You should boil the rice and use the water from the boil.
