Thanks so much for watching Dave! The human connection through conversation is definitely important :) I'm sure you are right about the Farsi expression. We loved the Farsi saying Farzad shared at the end as well :)
Harry, we’re just glad you were able to get something to hit. You’ve revived the lost art of the barber and shown us parts of the world we’d never see. May you be blessed.
Wow. It’s great to have heard part of your story. Helps a lot of us to know we are not alone in the struggle within the system. I am a filmmaker and I my self feel like we have a lot in common. Nice to see you talking and get to know you better. Nice to you open up. Never stop doing this, great work.
Hi William - happy to hear you liked hearing this and saw some commonalities! That's awesome you are a filmmaker :) Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Wow, I am truly glad I watched video. Mr. Harry, you are an amazing inspiration. Since 2008, after being a Banker and losing everything, this video put perspective back into my life. I know I’ve come along way since then but just listening to your rise to success let’s me know, I can too and still have time. Thank you!
Great stories there Harry. Life is strange. It,s amazing how we still survive and move on even when it seems impossible at the time. Steve in Scotland.
Hello Stevie D - it's great to hear you liked the stories :) It really is amazing what people experience and survive in life. Thanks so much for watching and hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Thanks Harry I finally made time for a maleacure. I visited one of the Floyd’s Barbershop locations in Denver Colorado. I told my barber, Crystal, about your adventures. She created the word maleacure when I told her how relaxing it was to watch your videos and then experience it.
Dude, I've always been a huge fan of your channel, but I reckon this guy supplied that lack of credibilty you had (dont get me wrong, but if you keep with this "interview" thing that has Just popped out your channel will explode). This time Im giving a real "thumbs up" - so professional - supporting this 100% Cheers from Curitiba - Brazil (a great place you should come visit)
I honestly got the wrong idea from this guy. I thought he was kind of a snob toward the barbers, but like anything, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. I like you harry. Subscribed and keep it up.
This should serve as an eye opener for all people who are against immigration and think that immigrants are "taking our jobs". These two gentlemen came to the U.S. and Canada, with nothing, asked for nothing, and worked their asses off and saved money to make their lives better. Many people born here who think everything is owed to them could learn alot from these two men.
Hello Gaston - Thanks so much for watching :) Farzad has an amazing story! You can check out this article in the Vancouver Sun about his journey: www.vancouversun.com/Pete+McMartin+Close+shaves+journey+Farzad+Salehi/10232879/story.html
Peter Gagnon illegal immigrantion is immigration it’s just people who weren’t as lucky who had to wait longer to come and yes republicans just really don’t want immigrants they wanna end family immigration and the lottery that’s literally 85% of the immigrants in America
Is the Zen and the Art of Barbering documentary still going to be released? I had contributed and have not seen any updates in over 3 years. Hopefully the documentary that had taxed your credit cards was not this. Just curious about the Zen update. I’m happy to support, and thank you for all the relaxing videos.
Hello - this film project has been moving very slowly but definitely not forgotten. We have continued to plug away at the storyline, researching locations, and experimenting with filming styles. We feel the current political atmosphere in the US adds to a more interesting storyline for this as well. Later in the year we plan to do a lot more filming and make more progress on this production. The debt I spoke about in this video was for another documentary I had spent years working on. All of these experiences have helped me become better with filming, interviewing, and working on storylines :) A couple months ago I met a gentleman who used to teach documentary filmmaking and we had a good conversation about this topic (learning and improving with interviewing and storytelling). Thank you so much for checking in and supporting this project!
eric wu I was thinking the exact same thing. I'd say he's English but then there's the pronunciation of some words that puts him somewhere between Australia and the U.S lol. It's actually driving me mad because it doesn't say anything about where he grew up on his website 😂
Thanks for this. We never have enough time for conversations any more. It’s nice to make time. There is probably a Farsi expression for that too.

Harry dodges that question about what his job is everytime it's asked. He still didn't say what he did.
He said minimum wage so we could assume he worked at McDonald's or maybe Seven Eleven....lol.
Where are you originally from? Can't seem to pinpoint your accent
eric wu I was thinking the exact same thing. I'd say he's English but then there's the pronunciation of some words that puts him somewhere between Australia and the U.S lol. It's actually driving me mad because it doesn't say anything about where he grew up on his website 😂
I think he's rodesian
clearly a brit who,has lived in US for a while :-)
canadian have many struggles of our own. at least this guy does something and seem kind, he's welcome, but too many need to be sent back
So hes job is a youtuber . Right?
2nd mate
The audio is a little weak....fyi.
How old are you
Tell me why I thought he was talking to captain spaulding from house of a 1000 corpse and devils rejects
That was funny Robert. I love Devil's Rejects. One of my favourite films. The music's brilliant too.
