    Been Looking at the Oliver Cabell GAT's For a week to go with my ever growing collection of boots. I'm really happy you took a good look at these it made me a lot more confident to go ahead and get what I want. Considering a lot of more mainstream brands are starting to charge 120 bucks for fake leather sweatshop shoes paying 60 more bucks and getting real leather and real Italian materials seems more and more like the way to go!

    If you don't like the price, you can always go for the Phoenix, which has uppers 3-D printed from old water bottles.

    I wasn't a fan of the 7 eyelets on the Low 1's. Same deal with the Beckett Simonon Reids.
    So, I was seriously considering the Koio Triple White Capris. They're cheaper than Common Projects, and I flat out like their look better. But then I remembered that I have a wife and kids, so I settled for the Beckett Simonons. 😅 $105 shipped. Just have to wait until August, but I won't be going anywhere for awhile anyway because of COVID-19.

      yeah the squeaky reports came from when the shoe was made differently, different sole in a different country (Spain). But there's also more padding in the heel of Oliver Cabell.

I needed to pay a return costs from Australia which is 30% of product price 😂plu a handling fee. It was delivered to them a week ago and when I followed up they told me to wait! And I cringed every time you pronounced Le Marche (en français as opposed to in intaliano) but I see that someone has already commented on that. LOL! Can you comment on how much wear this particular pair of Oliver Cabell has endured? It looks slightly beat up. Thanks for the review!

    I ordered the Oliver Cabell in size 12 and the laces are way too short. I went back and forth with their useless helpdesk who kept repeating the same line... that I don't need to lace them all the way to the top. I wish! That's not even my issue. Even if I lace them only to the second eyelet, I still don't have enough lace to properly tie them and that creates a ton of tension on the lace and shoe whenever I try to lace them. These laces will not last a month if I wear them with these tiny laces. Helpdesk didn't understand nor cared to understand. What a waste of $250. If you are taller than average, buy your shoes elsewhere.

    I bought the Oliver Cabell Low 1... I absolutely hate them, complete waste of $200.. they feel like white cardboard boats with flat clunky outersole inside is flat no arch, the upper leather is thick and stiff a year later and several trys at breaking them in ...they just never "break-in" ... do not feel comfortable or pleasant to wear, still stiff, hard and heavy, kill your feet, if thats what you like they will probably last forever they are built like tanks and personally because I hardly ever want to actually wear them anymore...seriously I bought a pair of the cheapo Cole Haan white leather tennis sneakers on sale at friggin Amazon for $60 bucks I wear those all the time and like them better lol...live and learn!!...and oh yeah just one more thing to hate about them the back of the shoe is very, very low, whats up with that!?...heel slip sucks too.

    • @TheGungunn101
      @TheGungunn101 4 роки тому +1

      @@PT111111 That's a different point entirely. Rose Anvil is right in that CPs are extremely overpriced for what they charge for. That doesn't necessarily mean the materials CP uses are "wrong" or "bad". Like Nick said, virtually every leather sneaker maker uses chrome tanned leather. All of these CP competitors price their shoes at around $150-$250, and for that price chrome tanned leather is absolutely fine.
