she runs in the infield to obstruct the view between fielder and first base. i find it annoying to watch and at 1:01 you can clearly see how it messes the game up. shouldn't be allowed imo
@@404chan I was going to say, it looks hard to get people out in softball (or is this just this player/team's strategy?). I think she has to run like that, because she's essentially starting her run during the swing, so momentum takes over. Just looks tough for fielders.
A very fast and accomplished slapper who ignores the running lane rule (as do these umpires). Interference with the catch occurred at first base at least once in this vid (1:05) and possibly more. Every league should require the running lane be marked. Also, she's good at leaving the base early without it getting called. This girl is a very smart, aggressive, and skilled player. She knows how to push the envelope and figure out exactly what she can get away with!
@@Ramiel_Izreal yes, but she is more than 3 feet, and she is interferring with the throw to first..."if" she is hit with the ball while not in the running lane she can be thrown out...I told my player to throw "to" the base, if she gets hit, oh well, and she'll be out also...if she's in the running lane she won't get hit by the ball...
@@Titus_Vespasianus I see what you’re saying, however if we look at the 1:17 mark and pause it the bat is laying perfectly horizontal to the base line and her right foot passes the edge of the bat which is clearly less than 36” long. She is on the very edge yet still legal. As far as interfering with the throw to first she actually cutting in to get to the safety bag or where it would be, giving just enough room for the 1st baseman. In my opinion and in accordance with the rules she was good to go.
You are either misinformed or they don't play by normal rules in your area. To be protected from interfering with the catch at first, you must establish your base path in the running lane. Anyone can ignore the lane, but if they do, and interference does in fact occur, they are not protected from an interference call. The rule applies to all batter-runners, slappers included.
Danggg, RED TEAM HAS SOME SPEED ! That’s what my coach sis do looked like when I was playing baseball in 4 grade he said I was the fastest out of the whole leag
A slap hitters job is to mainly move runner/get on base also they don’t bundt all day they most of the time hit it between third and second or drag/sneaky bundt. They definitely do not just bundt all day
she would be a lot faster if she ran in a straight line... in foul territory... where she's supposed to be. Running in fair territory not allowed. Also, please don't leave early. As a catcher I know it's really frustrating leaving early is ILLEGAL
Play it in slow motion. She is never out of the box. When this vid was made, as long as any part of the foot is touching the chalk, she is considered in the box. This player is a very skilled slapper.

There is a such thing as a slap bunt. It's as you're moving up in the box you drop the bat down your hands and tap the ball in the direction you want it to go.
She got some speed😱😮
Life With Meg
Ikr she be zooming
Ikr she be stealing every base in 5 seconds. 😂🤣
she’s super fast !! that girl has got a big future ahead of her with that type of speed . nobody would be able to get her out
Except for 75% of college 3rd basewomen. Remember these are her highlights, it doesn't show the number of times she is thrown out
It would be so hard to throw her out. For 1 she is fast... for 2 she would mess you up running in fair territory

she has 30ft to get back to the base line...it is illegal how far she runs inside the base line.
I’m a slap hitter and this was really cool to watch! She’s got some wheels!
She is so fast! Would get there even faster if she ran in a straight line. Better to run in foul territory
for slappers it’s a lot more difficult
@@livy1500 if she wasn’t stepping out of the box most of the time then she would be able to run closer to the line

Yes, she should have been out several times...great player, but truly, come on we need to enforce the running lanes...

Aren’t base runners allowed 3 feet to the left and or right of the base line?

She’s got them wheels!! But she was leaving early on the base
Damn that girls impressive
She is allowed to be in fair territory but there is obvious 3 foot lane violations here. Tremendous talent.
It’s a rule in my area that if you run in fair territory, you’re out
it’s different for slap hitter.
Oof

does anyone else watch these and wish they were this good
Girl, an overthrow to first doesn’t stop her! She made it to 3 before they even threw it!😮😮
I’m surprised she hasn’t been called out for lead off most the time she is 2 steps off the bag before the ball has even left the pitchers hand😂
at the 1:32 mark she is two steps off the base and the ball is still in the pitchers hand
1:02
I guess the line in softball (running to first base) is a little wider.........
Although she is fast she runs in fair territory and leaves early but dang I would want that girl on my team for sure like she is a speed demon
Very impressive!
Danggg, RED TEAM HAS SOME SPEED ! That’s what my coach sis do looked like when I was playing baseball in 4 grade he said I was the fastest out of the whole leag
this is great!!👍🏻👍🏻
she leaves early on a steal every time😂 but she is still very fast!
Ya unless its different there because we take a lead off when the pitcher pitches it and then run when passes home plate
Is it legal to run to 1st base like that??
Hopefully my 12U team won’t have to play against her.
She’s not 12u is she??
Softball Catcher86 I don't think so. I am a 12u player and they look too old to still be playing 12u.
@@laurenkozlak1884 their like 14u
samoangirl619AKAjohnnysbananaten no they are college😂 it’s a community college team in TN
That first slap was soo good
She was running out of the baseline
Rayzr it’s called slap hitting so it’s allowed if you do it a certain way
kelseyyy she was also out of the box while swinging
Again slap hitting the point is to get out of the box
she should be out. even if you’re slapping you still can’t be out of the box or out of the baseline
Out every time. Not even near the running lane.
damn she's fast!! if she hits it to the left side, forget about getting an out...
She runs so far off the base line
because she’s slapping
norahbenedict finally someone who said it
Doesn’t matter
norahbenedict imagine having to slap a ball to get to first in time fucking softball players man
She is so fast
1:43 play it in slow motion and u will notice she left early
Namjoon ARMY and at 2:14
Namjoon ARMY i think there rules are different t
If I did this in baseball my coach will literally kick me of the team so fast I wouldn’t have time to reach first
Zach Hardin the difference is that this allowed and is a strategy often used in softball
Zach Hardin Don’t bother to even compare baseball and softball🙄
There’re are almost like 2 different sports
Shepherd you mean that it’s only used in softball because women don’t know how to swing a bat so they do this instead
Mr Sirota actually they do know how to swing a bat...... soooo like hop off :)))
@@robertcaffrey6532 we still swing better then you
1:33 she left the base so early i’m surprised the imp didn’t notice
There all so fast wtfff😂😂😭

So basically they just bunt all day and run 60ft to first base?
A slap hitters job is to mainly move runner/get on base also they don’t bundt all day they most of the time hit it between third and second or drag/sneaky bundt. They definitely do not just bundt all day

Isn’t she out of the box when she bats
Not an expert but I think if her foot is outside the batters box on the ground at the same time her bat is in contact with the ball she's out.

Running lane violation at the 1:04 mark

Wow she’s got speed on her
Finally a softball video when the girls don’t jog and be slow and get out
Im a catcher, and Im left handed! So the catcher is just like me

Watching her makes me feel SLOW
That first girl was booking it bro wtf
shes so fast omg
why is it every big girl plays softball........
She has a great slap but she needs to run in foul territory.
Softball1000 it allowed in some casees
it’s allowed as long as the fielder doesn’t have possession of the ball near her
Like who tf runs out of the box to hit🤔
Slap hitters 😂
Yea it’s stupid
The ball goes no where
ImSkyth but today I hit a double slap hitting...
jådã s haha because softball players suck ass
damn she is fast
I play softball and i am a slapper
Every steal she leaves so early
You do not slap punts

I’m number 22 as well😂
Bunting is the worst thing baseball (and in this case softball) has ever created
The bases are like 2ft away and baseball for me is 80 😂😂😂
they’re 60 ft away idiot
yes 60 ft because we have a bigger ball and a bigger ball is not as fast as a baseball. don’t criticize softball since you know nothing about it.
