  • Today we take a look at Valero Energy Ltd, Midlands Oil Terminal, Tamworth B78 2EJ.
Upon arrival it seemed like the area was once occupied by protestors and that tensions where still very high.
We are approached and told to leave, once this was denied the police arrive.
    Enjoy!

@Dougal Douglas They are only under staffed because they spend more time pushing paper rather than actually working for the public that pay them. Its a fallacy that they are understaffed now the NHS that is massively under staffed. And in 12 years of tory rule the brit police have seen the paperwork double the funding slashed and crime increase. Tory has never ment tough on crime it has only ment tough on anyone not a tory donor it was like that under the milk snatcher and every tory leader since has followed suit. Brilliant work DJ AUDITS - a very entertaining and informative audit. Green helmet guy certainly made a fool of himself and his time would be better spent either cleaning the dirty signs or attending a people skills course. The ants seem to like their curries fairy dry - 7:58 - I bet they appreciate DJ getting their house roof removed by the council. The chap who was following DJ at 9:00 😆 - I thought this was in slow motion. The star of the show was the chap who walks past several times per week - he seemed like a decent bloke. The nosy guy with the black Land Rover Discovery (16:40) should look out for a child minder, unless it was take your child to work day - he soon vanished when the action started. 10:42 - another DJ fan gets a keyring 😎. A very entertaining audit that shows oil refineries are now full of woke wimps and even the police realised there was no problem, but obviously have to safeguard big corporations and government interest. Even DJ succumbed to the lure of the tanker spotting craze at 23:15 - but it was a nice looking tanker. Fantastic!👍

As Billy J Kramer sang, Listen do you want to know a secret. There is no difference between, say, Shell petroleum products and Conoco Phillips (Jet) they all meet the same spec. Even the " special additives " are the same formulation detergent. All the major companies have exchange agreements because it would be prohibitively expensive to supply every customer or filling station from their own storage. At one time Conoco supplied all the supermarkets because the quality was superior and the price cheaper than other refiners. This was achieved using the most efficient refinery in the UK and having pumping rights on the extensive government pipeline system. Sadly their lords and masters in the US decided to pull out of the UK market except for where they were contractually committed. That's why I ended up redundant at 50.

Hi D J, the sign you show is quite clear and unambiguous, it shows that the court has been persuaded to to issue n injunction against specific forms of protest by members of specific named groups..
The first man to come out tries to insist that you are breaking that injunction just by being there when he has no evidence to support his claim!.
Six minutes later the next man hardly knows what you are asking him about!, he does recall that at some earlier time there was an issue and that is what the injunction was for.
He does suggest that they might be concerned about a possible illegal entry for nefarious purposes, but that is what they are there for, to wait and watch and report any actions that are clearly naughty, they have no right to simply assume that is what you are there for.
Eventually after another fifteen minutes actual cops turn up and do engage in a sensible dialogue, even then they seem to think that you must explain your self to them!.
This was not a bad encounter by any reasonable standard, but they also should have waited and observed you from a distance before coming anywhere near you!, then they would have actual evidence about you one way or the other.
    Cheers, Richard.

No wonder when granny has a burglary and no cop to attend, they are going to a company who called for a man with a very dangerous camera on a public road. At least the cops were decent this time which makes a change. However the police should really have took the complainant aside and tell him that if he calls over a man with a camera in public again will result in being charged with wasting police time, they won’t of course but should. The job of security on a site is to monitor and warn. Not to get involved. So coming off their site and exceeding their authority means they are incompetent. Proper security would just monitor and watch DJ and maybe log it away in terms of gaining possible intel, but nothing more than that unless DJ actually showed any hint of being associated with the group.
