      Like NaS said; it's "purists who really love it"... hiphop artform still exists, it's just rare, and for the most part not being marketed. The business as it exists today could (and does) have fakes and phonies, who see the public in a condescending eye, and consider the game a joke...

      Ok, Eminem is good at rapping fast. But Nas's rhymes kick the shit out of his. Nas's rap in general is much more real than Eminem's. All Eminem raps about is his daughter, "slim shady", or makes those motivational before game pep talk songs. I could give example but the list is extensive. Nas raps about real shit. Em does occasionally but not enough.Poke some holes.

    • @backnite1
      @backnite1 11 років тому

      pat m
      he gots 8 and 6 of them are classic. you got slim shady LP,marshall mather LP,the em show,encore(my fav),recovery(which a complete surprise after what he did to relaps) and then mashal mather 2 which is blasting in everyone hear right know. and then he had em infinite (which was better then most of nas trash albums) and then you got relapse the worst i ever seen em do. KNOW you said em doesnt talk about real shit em speaks on thinks he can relate to like party and hating life at the same time a double standard that he puts in a form that we can relate to and the mind of women, and speaks on how fake people can be in life for self gain he does rap about real shit but it what he can relate to. nas speaks about his culture but most of the time his metaphors are weak and is one of the weakest rappers with punch lines

    there's just a certain aura about him. Like when you think about what the genre is really about...the storytelling, the lyrics, the narrative of the black American man, the wordplay, everything, nas just really encapsulates that all in one individual rapper.

    Reason why 50 is the 🐐
    - 50 is the best hippop artist of all time,:
    -has the best hit records,
    -the most hit records,
    -the best hooks (no rapper is better than 50 in this genre),
    -the greatest impact in hippop industry ever.
    -The biggest hippop album ever, (biggest I mean biggest, GRorDT)
    -the best mixtapes classic ever( guest who is back, mixtapes legend and many more),
    -the best underground album the power of the dollar
    -the best crew and group of rapper since NWA ( g unit which includes; banks, buck, game, Tony ),
    -best diss track ( because his diss track destroy ja rule, likewise either, hit em up, and takeover didn't)
    -best diversity ( clothing, books, films etc),
    -best soundtrack since 8mile,
    and finally
    -best story of hippop( drugs, no parents, shot 9 times and the rest is history)
    Haters should place him at least on their top 10 hippop artist, as their argument is that he isn't lyrically great.
    But hippop fan's have to fine out the truth by themselves, listen to all the details mention above and fine out ho the king of gangster hippop is

    I wish you would've stood strong, Nasir. Once you started to catch some heat, you backtracked and basically said that the statement was blown outta proportion, etcetera. It's no secret that the genre done died. The so-called "quality" hip-hop that's out has no soul or flavor. Doesn't have anything to do w/ it being from the 80's, 90's, etcetera. There was a *feeling* in the music. You, for example, Nasir, made a soul album entitled, _Illmatic._ It's more than hip-hop, it's soul. When the powers that be decided to take the soul away, that's when things started to screw up. You're right, a lot goes into this. Mostly a corporate decision. Hip-hop took a big hit when they phased out political-flavored hip-hop. As far as Nasir "spazzing out," he cut that out with the quickness. He quickly learned that all that "keepin' it real/tellin' it like it is" stuff ain't gon get you nowhere. Yo' ass gon end up a broke has-been. A lot of O.G. artists wish they would've just kept they mouths shut and played the game. Joe Budden, Fat Joe and Maino (to name a few) learned the hard way. Anyway, watching this interview kinda made me miss the old Nasir. I just love a confident East Coast brotha.

    Hip Hop isn't dead at all and never will be. The problem is everybody trying to sound like each other. A lot of rappers these days don't take enough time to write their lyrics correctly. In order to be a successful rapper you have reach and touch all walks of life.

      @doublec4431 Рік тому

      @keyboardwarrior5612 You see 👀 that's where you wrong at but I actually really fully understand why you say that. It's because 85% of the music and rappers who came after 2008 wasn't that great nor or straight. The media started putting all them non talented lyric rappers out there who do nothing but hide behind the beat and hook throughout the whole entire song.They don't know how to put them words and verses/bars together correctly. They rhyme words that don't even go together for example they'll say "I'll Ice the po lice" not the actual word police inorder to make sure they rhyming. It sounds wack azz heck trust me I know. Now that doesn't mean all of it is trash you just not digging deep enough to find the ones who not or the songs that satisfy your ears. And I know it sucks that the media force and shove it down our throats too. It's not fair because they're forcing us to actually hear it or listen to it. Plus it's all on TV and every social media music platform. So you're totally incorrect in your statement because you not searching and looking for the 15% with the real talent 💯
