This place can't be real! We traveled all the way from Hangzhou to Wangxian Valley, also known as China's Fairyland in Jiangxi Province. We found ourselves in what seemed like a fairyland right in the middle of nowhere. This place used to be an old abandoned mine, but the government invested 2.8 billion RMB and transformed it into this breathtaking ancient-looking village. The cliffside guesthouses have gone viral on social media, turning this village into an up-and-coming tourist attraction and giving a boost to the local economy by creating jobs and bringing in money. We'll share all the details about how to get to Wangxian Valley, the perfect place to stay in this area and our honest thoughts about China's fairyland!

I am an old lady, n l love watching your China videos, because its calm, slow moving of the sceneries n good narration. Subscribed to see more of China. Will try to visit China this year, Autumn.❤🙏 Thank you.
Greetings from Singapore.
Welcome to China.
@@user-me2vz8um4b Thank you. I will.
i just cant help mentioning, those MRT stations in Singapore are very very nicely named in Chinese.
since it's not a direct translation from malay or pronunciation mapping but a hint of reference, I say "named" but they all sound very cool to me. like Kembangan 景万岸,kallang 加冷,outram park 欧南园…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hi, Xian, guangzhou, Hangzhou, Those cities food are tasty
Also qingdao
Your China adventure has taken your channel to another level. What an incredible country, and this is barely the tip of it. I hope you guys can do more and more.
We agree, we barely scratched the surface! But we still have a few more interesting and beautiful videos to come
This place look amazing!! I hope that my wife and I will be able to make it there someday and we can still walk up those stairs. I'm 67 now and in good health...we better not wait too long. Aloha!!
The night time is really amazing! Welcome to my hometown!
Cuz of your beautiful videos of Thailand guys, I spend my vacation there. Now you doing some incredible videos of great China so i guess i've my next destination ready too.🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰
Hahaha we’ll keep you moving! Hope you’re having a great time in Thailand right now 😊
I was born and have lived in Jiangxi for 18 years. It's a very beautiful province. There are many unique ancient tourist attractions there, and the people are very hospitable. Thank you for coming to Jiangxi and I hope you have a good time❤
We had a great time and our homestay owner and her family were so kind to us!
Nothing beats the world's best tourist attractions in China, agree or not?
certainly

All these are fake Taoist palace, real luxury resorts😂
@@sx_caand Disneyland is real?
For the highest number of amazing points of interest by international standards. China wins hands down!
If they haven't done it, they really need to make a documentary about the construction of this amazing fairy town, I love to know how they designed and figured out how to build in such a mountainous area. Awesome guys, looking forward to the Canola fields! ❤
That would be cool! We read that it used to be an abandoned mine and it took 28 billion CNY to develop this village.. they still have a few phases to build over the next few years.
@@FloraandNote Wow, I thought the stepped formations looked familiar! I think I've heard of other mining quarries that were turned back into nature reserves. I'll be looking out for how this place develops, thanks guys, I wouldn't have known about this place if not for your visit, cheers!
@@FloraandNote if you visit this place in summer, you can do drifting which is lots of fun.
Lol, why are these specimens of the Model Race speaking english? They obviously have an accent, so they obviously speak another language. And where the hell do they think they are? They should NOT be allowed to feel this comfortable speaking english in a non-english country. Perhaps it's that, in their mind, the Chinese are all candidates to be converted into the Model Race inside China itself, for the benefit of the Ewwnited States. After all, that will make the hosts' own decision to aSsiMiLate less shameful. Dream on. Go back to the "free world". China doesn't need you to "promote" it. China simply is.
@@WalkingSideways this area is a historical site many of the buildings are ancient. The Taoists from the Eastern Han era (2000 yrs ago) were the first to build on the cliffs there.
I don't know where they got the info that it was a mining town, it was not. The terraces you see are for building new buildings not mining. Mining terraces go into the ground, and who mines near the cliff of a mountain?
I am Chinese. This is actually the first time I've heard of this place existing. It will go into my travel memo.

Wow, literally a fairy tale town, China's tourism is next level with the lighting and everything, crazy!
It’s SO BREATHTAKINGLY beautiful!!! Just amazing!
The scenery is absolutely out of this world. Especially those huts built by the precipitous supported only by stilts and interconnecting one another by steps. Thank you Fiona & Note for sharing your wonderful experience 🙏❤️❤️🇨🇳🇨🇳
China is the Paradise, + may the Mighty GOD Protect it
谢谢,可是我们不靠上帝
actually relying on you Sir
Thank you for the blessing, much appreciated
Chinese dont believe god.
Shangrao is a third-tier city in China. Almost no foreigners come here, so there are few English guides for transportation and scenic spots, and booking tickets is also a bit inconvenient for foreigners. I see that more and more foreigners have traveled to China in the past two years. I hope that China’s small cities can become more friendly to foreign tourists in the future.😘
WOOOOOW really beautiful! China is indeed amazing really amazing
I was born in Jiangxi province. I have seen quite a few videos about traveling in China but seldom of them went to Jiangxi. Thank you for coming here and Jiangxi welcomes everyone!
Wow, it's so wonderful!! China is so impressive. From modern to historical places, I'm sold!
We were so surprised to see this because surrounding this village, it was just farmland and village homes.. then suddenly, boom a magical village.
That is insane! I as a Chinese didn’t even know there was a place like this. Bravo!
So beautiful. China continues to amaze me every day ❤
look, i just catched wild expatnatt😊
@@paolohou Hi!!👋❤️
China is so big and vast and magnificent! Thank you for sharing this fairytale village ❤
The aesthetic level of this building is undoubtedly the best in the world
I feel just so peaceful and encouraged when watching your vlogs. Glad you are enjoying the views and journey! Looking forward to more.
We have more fun and beautiful videos to come 😊
I’m South African and over the many years have fallen in love with Brazilian and the rest of South America. Been to Thailand and Hong Kong a couple of times but watching your China series…I feel I want to replicate your trip and explore as much of China (beyond Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzen)
You should do it! 👍👍
Thanks Flora & Note for creating yet another amazing video, showing us this marvellous and beautiful Wangxian Valley aka China's fairyland. Oh gosh, guess l will have to add it to my bucket list. I have visited China twice, North East China (Beijing, Chengde, Tianjin) and South East China (Xiamen, Fuzhou, Changzhou, Putien, Gu Lang Yu) Loved watching all your China episodes so far...so eyes pleasing videos. Great job and hats off to you both. Safe travels always 🫰🫰
Yes! Definitely add to your bucket list! We have a few more places for you to add to your list in the upcoming videos too 😉
@@FloraandNote Looking forward to them...
This place was so magnificent! I had never heard of it. Thank you for sharing your experience. ❤
It was a bit tricky to get to, but worth it! I think they will make it more accessible in the coming year though.

The night view of 望仙谷 is so beautiful. And wish you a wonderful trip in China.
Thank you so much 😊 Definitely cool to see the contrast from day time to night time.
Even though 望仙谷 is built for tourism, the buildings look authentically traditional and creatively built on the cliffs too, resembling something out of a cgi fantasy. I too would love to visit this magical place.
I think the cliff-side buildings are actually ancient, they just added modern infrastructure around it. I remember seeing pictures of those exact buildings in the past.
I just searched in Baidu, this area is indeed a historical site. Not just the cliff-side buildings but the temples are also historical buildings from various eras, going as far back as Three Kingdoms time.
It wouldn't make sense for them to build a "fake" village as attraction without any historical anchor. I don't understand some people's view that the lights and modern infrastructure is "artificial". Sounds like deep-seated bias.
Oh okay, I didn't research on this place. I thought Flora said in the video it was built for tourists. Looks amazing anyhow.
作为一个中国人 都不知道这个旅游景点 通过你的视频才知道 我在四川 期待你来四川玩 也是自然风光 谢谢

It is amazing. Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful place.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching 😊
Travelling with you 2 guys is such a joy, thanks for taking me to see Wangxian Valley.
So happy you enjoyed it! 😉
I think many people has noticed one point here in China. We have watched so many videos from first year to the last year city at night. All the great light show we should notice one thing China the power is so sufficient be able to support all those city lights, that is not the many country in the world can do that
WOW , what a cool spot!!! Traveling in China is very amazing, but you definitely need someone who speaks the language. There are times when you would be completely lost without that....
This video was amazing!! I have seen ( on video) coffins up in cliffs but to see all this was mind blowing !! I would have made it as I will be 70 this year.😂😂. WOW. Thank you🙏
It must be super cool to stay in the cliff side guesthouse and get to experience the village before the tourists arrive.. but unfortunately it was just too expensive 😅
As a Chinese, I’d say u two really know where/ what is good stuff! I don’t even know this place, such amazing! I gonna go this place once I’m back in china.
President Xi's, rural revitalisation vision taking shape
A 5'6" Great leader once quoted :
"Let China sleep, for when she wakes, she will shake the world. "
She certainly has 😮
Napoleon Bonaparte was a great leader, but that film is a joke🤣
I was there last year in April, but we didn't stay until night time. Wow it's amazing when all the lights on 望仙谷👍
Absolutely speechless!!! The scenery, especially at night time is just MAJESTIC. Thank you for taking us along with you on this journey.
This, for sure, is going to be the next tourist hot spot for foreign visitors, but you two got here first. 👍
Good for you guys.
Many people still thinking China is communist and a totally dark place.
Looks like you guys had a fantastic time and not worrying about being stabbed or robbed.
China makes Communism cool
It is communist which is why they lifted 850 million people out of extreme poverty. Linking communist with "dark place" is of course a common demonizaton propaganda by western media and politicians who are owned by rich people not wanting their countries resources to be used on their populations, but be funnelled in to the oligarchs bank accounts.
Even if you miss your train in China. You can still get one chance to take another one for free on the same day. One chance for one ticket.
Oh really? That’s good to know!
@@FloraandNote Yes, the staff at the service station can help you.😄

Wow we just finished this video and this place is just ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ❤❤❤
Cool, I didn't know there is such place.
Amazing..... just amazing !!
Thanks for taking us on an adventure with you! It looks magical!!!
As an aerial photography amateur, China is much freer to let fly than Canada. Thank you for your videos and tireless information output.
Is flying a drone in China acceptable? No issues?
@@krcostantini In China, there will not be the kind of boring issues that you in the West call that you will invade personal privacy at every turn, except for the privacy that needs to be protected in military locations and so on
@@krcostantiniMost of the places in China it’s alright to fly drone but there are areas that you can’t fly like military bases, airports or some govt offices etc. Just prepare well and do some research about the areas you’ll be flying and you’ll be fine. I always fly my drone in cities or rural/village areas without any problem.
I was on a bus tour in Xian last month, and had this beeping mechanism to remind all passengers to tie their seat belt. The peer pressure works to ensure everyone is tied up 😅
the openning is actually so cinematic I love it
Wow it is so beautiful indeed what a privilege guys so lucky to be able to see with your own eyes
You guys are still the best vloggers for south east asia and i follow all of them. Big compliments to you again ( i made to many compliments already) always an adventure with you guys and no stupid room reviews on 5 star hotel. Keep up the good work. So love watching your vlogs.
My day gets a little brighter when I see you post it
There're many hidden wonders in China, for example, this place: 螺髻九十九里 hot spring waterfall cascade, almost 50 kms of hot spring river in a snow capped mountain valley with multiple waterfalls along the way. Take a hot water bath under one of water fall pools and feel like out of this world.
I love how Note was having a full out pair of boots and yet Flora just crocs.
Whatever feels comfy, right? 😂
Okay guys awesome! We are going to following your footsteps In China. Thanks for sharing.

These are the types of touristy attractions I can get behind. Everything seems to be very tastefully done with great attention to detail.
