- In today's mario video we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the bosses seen in the #supermario games made by nintendo. Throughout the years there have been a lot mario games like super mario world, super mario 64, super mario sunshine, new super mario bros, new super mario galaxy, super mario 3d land, super mario 3d world, super mario run, super mario bros 3 and not too long ago they released the new super Mario odyssey for the nintendo switch which has all kinds of new characters like cappy and locations like the sand kingdom, new donk city and bowsers kingdom. In these games we have seen power ups like the fire flower, ice flower, super mushroom, mega mushroom, super star, hammer suit, spring mushroom and way more. But there were power ups that helped mario, luigi, toad, princess peach, rosalina and the others to escape bowser, the broodals, koopalings and bowser jr. I remember this hoax, it's cool to see a person doing this for the DS, but sadly Nintendo bonks people for doing rom hacks, which saddens me a bit cause rom hacks are fun as hell and I used to play them all the time. My favorite are creepy rom hacks or rpg ones like pokemon

The smw romhack scene is experiencing something of a golden age right now. A big part of the reason is that the hub, smwcentral, is very strict about people not uploading roms or anything that belongs to Nintendo. Nintendo can't clap you for downloading a patch because if you own the original game you have a level right to alter it because it's your property. There's also fair few hacks about of the 3 nsmb games.
Now if this is made from scratch thats illegal but if someone patched a rom of say, Super Mario 3D land or Mario 64 ds into a galaxy demake Nintendo would leave it alone
@@ZedDevStuff That is actually true aswell as it's a whole entire engine made from scratch too, it's not using the SM64DS engine or anything, it's a brand new engine made from the ground up.
If they do continue development on SMGDS, They’ll probably put the world 1 boss off until after they finish 99% of the game. As far as I know, both world 1 bosses from the SMG duology have planetary gravity, really difficult programming, and each boss has multiple segments of model strung together. If I had to choose, I’d pick Megaleg, despite it being a hundred times harder to program, but if this game goes under Nintendo’s radar for long enough, Megaleg will be the only thing standing in the devs’ way of making a DS port of Mario Galaxy.

I can’t believe that there were rumors going on back in 2007 that stated that there was going to be a version of super Mario galaxy for the Nintendo DS! But the hopes and dreams of so many people were crushed back then.
this looks incredibly impressive, it makes me sad that as soon as Nintendo see it, they'll more than likely take it down. The fan working on this is very talented!
Let Nintendo be taken down instead...they deserve it after all.
Unless it directly competes with an official game or tries to present itself as such, Nintendo won't take it down.

I was so sad when I was first played this game 3 years ago because I thought he wasn't going to work on it anymore. It's a pleasant surprise to find out he's been working on it all this time though!
Super Mario galaxy was literally the best Wii game ever as a kid I couldn’t beat it but I still enjoyed it even though I would just play the first levels over and over it was so fun!

Super Mario Galaxy (2007) is my favorite 3d Mario game of all time because Rosalina was created and has an amazing backstory. I love Rosalina so much. ♥️
I would love to play this on my 3DS once it is fully released, & I am really a huge fan of Super Mario Galaxy, and the graphics in DS Style is so cool. Even cooler then the orignal
Always remember: If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Nintendo makes games, but at the end of the day, you have to pay Nintendo to play them. There is absolutely no way they would go through the effort of making a complete game that is not only free, but which they would pay *you* to play. (Not unless there was some other catch that would offset the cost.)
That alone was evidence to me that this was a hoax.

3:36 true, but it's far from unusual for nintendo to get back to scrapped ideas later. Like in SM64DS, the Power Flower bears a striking resembelance to an unused flower texture found in the original games files. Same with a yoshi egg. So you never know...

Today I just randomly got like, 3 videos in my recommended about this topic and I never heard about it before. Interesting how the algorithm works. I don’t really even watch Mario galaxy related things.
It is really cool. Unfortunately, Nintendo will probably bash it as usual. Imagine a 3DS version of this.

Compared to other titles like skyward sword it is used very little, but yeah it is still part of the game however if you emulate it than you can completely ditch motion controls so again it isnt used that much or crucial to the game

The fact that they developed an entire engine for the game to run on makes me think that they could make a game even if the Super Mario Galaxy version gets taken down. After all, they have tons of the code ready and even tested (including group testing via the internet). And having it be the Super Mario Galaxy DS means tons of people find it interesting, meaning more of what are essentially 'beta testers' to try it out.
And if Nintendo does slam the hammer on it, the code will remain- and can be changed to allow it to become a new game. And with all the beta testing being done so far, the engine may be well-built by then- leaving only level design and graphics to be made (both from the ground up due to copyright).
And, I have seen people releasing custom games for the NES, SNES, and Game Boy. And I think that Nintendo can't really do much there- the entirety of those games are programmed ground-up, and this would be no different (if the graphics and whatnot were reworked after the engine is perfected). And since they'd essentially be developing a game much like many others, it'd be pretty much just a new game like any other game released for the DS.
In fact, it could breathe new life into an old system, possibly bringing back stuff from older eras- and not just via Switch emulation. It could very well result in a number of things...
Things like online fangames are one thing- they're directly using the company's characters, and in some situations that's bad. Emulators are also a strange subject to dive into- but that's another story.
However, things like this... If Nintendo allowed their fans to develop these sorts of games, given that they don't make money from them unless they make the whole thing from scratch and don't use copyrighted characters... Then maybe they'd have an opportunity to make money from recycling old consoles, not just old games.
And honestly I don't see why they would be against that. I'd be willing to buy a modern GBA SP if they made cartridges for classic games (with some modern upgrades of course). Back then it was a lot harder to make them. But now, we can fit modern games on the tiny cartridges that fit into the Switch. So the games from the GBA era could easily have multiple in the storage one could now fit in a classic GBA cartridge.
A modern GBA SP may not be a Switch in terms of how it works, but if they made it I can guarantee that they would have a rather amazing system. Because with how small the Switch actually is, we could play quite a variety of games on what can fit in a GBA SP shell. (If there were additional buttons added anyways, since the GBA had no X or Y buttons.)

I feel like anytime a fan game is forced to become an original game, it immediately loses the novelty of being based on a beloved franchise.
@@connorbeith3232 Trust me, that is a sad thing to happen. I agree that the novelty is a nice part of it. But the novelty doesn't really work well when the company takes the whole thing down... sure, it was popular, but everyone knows it was bound to happen. I'd rather have a unique, original game that doesn't have the fangame aspect for a long time than a fangame that gets shut down quickly once it becomes popular.

Yeah youtube has changed a lot sadly enough and at some point youtube kind of screwed me and many other creators because i can see views are down a lot on many of my friends channels as well. This video is doing well though so thats a good sign, will do more of them.
I personally think a version Super Mario Galaxy would run alot better on the Nintendo 3DS and Super Mario 3D Land is a perfect example of this. That's just my opinion of course.

Man I love how hoaxes back than were believable back than. Nowadays people would know it was fake, but due to the internet just starting out we would believe info like this that came out of nowhere. It also helped that we were younger and believed anything we saw. I mean I used to believe that putting glowstone into a nether portal pattern and putting water through it would make a heaven dimension.

Well, things like Solatorobo were a 3d game that worked on ds hardware, so that machine was really capable at its time.

When I was 8 years old I remember I went to Walmart and they displayed a Mario like looking space game but I forgot if it really was for the ds or wii cause when I went to play it i rmeeber it being a ds version in my memory or so I thought I’m still trying to figure out if my memory is true I have Mario galaxy 1 and 2 for the wii but I’m still confused about my memory maybe it was Mario galaxy idk

I honestly think that’s pretty cool actually. I remember getting Mario Galaxy when I got my Wii for Christmas.
The 2 games Mario 64 DS and Super Mario Galaxy have these things:
Mario 64 DS was a more stuff added version of Mario 64 but in an 8 bit game version, due to the way the games were scripted with their functions and such, they could only play s game with a few more megabytes then the Nintendo 64s could handle.
Nintendo spoke with interviewers about what’s happening with Mario Galaxy and they were thinking while we can pull off making Mario have a zero gravity universe with planets, it’s just that’s a bit more content we’d have to throw in, the game would have to be good with 30 to 60 fps, their concern early in its development though made them think, this is nearly impossible, but luckily companies that worked with Nintendo redid the chipsets for the next consoles, they had to rewrite a lot of code though, they had to use 3D modeling software more to a more totally 3D models making degree, they had space to add in unused features of the game, but they have release periods where they showcase the games, initial releases, press, interviews, meeting room conversations about making new games, retail units, store units…
Mario 64 DS was to small in it’s own size and mechanics to even to everything Mario galaxy can.
I love this because I love the ds and the wii. Unfortunately, nintendo made the baffling decision to only include a dpad on a portable console who wanted to highlight 3d games. Just watching the footage and watching mario snap to the limited 8 directions looks painful. Of course, games like phantom hourglass got over this limitation by using touch screen movement which allowed for analog-like control

Unrelated, but I just want super Mario galaxy 3. Mario odyssey is great of course, but I miss the atmosphere and music style of the galaxy games. I know it wouldn’t be as easy to recapture the magic, since they only recaptured it with 2 by literally using the same engine
Honestly I prefer Galaxy 1 over 2 easily because of the space theme. I do like Odyssey more because of the exploration so of course it will have a different atmosphere compared to Galaxy.
