Various Train and Station Announcements

This video contains about 4 and a half minutes worth of on-board train and at-station announcements including the 'Old' and 'New' Celia Drummond station announcements at London Waterloo.
Also featured are on-board announcements on Greater Anglia, South West Trains, TfL Rail and Southern trains.

To people who think that train announcements are annoying and unnecessary, I'm totally blind! When I'm on a train or at a station my only point of reference is those announcements. They are the reason I can travel by train independently. What might be irritating to you is necessary for others

Yes. It is very important what the announcers tell us.
I can take my umbrella out of the teain surely thanks to the announce that we have got to check whether we have our luggage properly before we get off, because if I do not listen to it, I may leave my umbrella on train!

I like Celia Drummond she is a very good announcer they must be very useful for blind people like you, people say that the new trains are much more well designed as they have special grabrail though I liked travelling on the old slam trains I was pleased when they out of service in late 2004.

As someone who is totally blind and therefore I rely on the announcements I don't like it too fast because it's hard to keep up but I do prefer the human interaction rather than an automated voice
