Mate, take away the profit and you've just told everyone how to have a simple, awesome tank for enjoyment. Another great vid, well done and thank you.
Thanks 👍
Your weird lmao
I agree even if we ignore the profit point this shows how to get a balance of species too
I had ghost shrimp and because I didn't balance my tank they were eating my fish at night when they were sleeping... I was very upset
@@xmalvazar4203 oh no! I just bought one ghost shrimp. They are in with my 2 platys, 4 platy fry and 4 albino Cory.
So far he/she is behaving. I think it is tearing apart my plants, though.
At 21, you’re making good money doing what you enjoy. Looks like you’re continually growing as well 👍 That’s way better than most people in their mid life. 😃
I started out inheriting a 29 gallon tank with an old deformed western Australian Rainbowfish and three enormous Chinese algae eaters.
I dove in researching the rainbow and CAE care, bought a 90 gallon, and it’s been an addiction since.
I now have 12 species of Rainbowfish, plecos, endlers, ramshorn snails and 8 tanks.
I breed the rainbows for fun,and rehome the babies as they grow.
I should probably learn how to do this for some sort of profit.
I enjoy it so much, there’s always more to learn, and watching babies grow from tiny little eggs to active, healthy, curious and beautiful fish just lights me up.
I’m in Canada, and I’d be over the moon to be able to live in Australia and see some of my beloved species in their natural habitat(which I understand is increasingly at risk).
Loving your videos!
This was so interesting! I’m just getting into the hobby but I was curious about how people breed and sell fish. I’d love to see a video about how you package fish/plants to ship safely and affordably :)
Selling does not work.. Local stores won't buy it from you.. Its like a closed business mafia.. They won't encourage hobbyists to become breeders.. They just say yes, I'll let you know when I need it.. And then never call back..
.
And even on Facebook and social media if you are in some group.. It will depend on how far you are able to ship them at retail level.. No wholesale there either..
.
If you are from big city then you can ship easily in city limits.. But then the constraint is the kind of city you live in.. How rich the people are, how big city is and what is popular opinion on keeping fishes..
Order enough fish, you will see how it's done. Most do not add oxygen or anything to control ammonia, but id suggest it.
I Breed Fish like Angelfish i selled some of the fry But i do not Find enough People to Buy them,
They prefer to Buy them from petshop and Triple the Price to buy them then from us Breeders.
usually breeders are 3x price lmao @@bobbymalta73
how is it going?!
This was great! Very smart idea of using basically a community tank to maximize compatibility and variety with species that will breed together! Awesome video!
Just getting into the hobby and really enjoying. Have 3 small tanks throughout my home and it's great being able to literally go and watch a little eco system go by.
You DID give us a lot! Thank you.
Appreciate the video I’ve been in the hobby my whole 21 years of life but just getting into breeding so thank you for these videos really helps
The knowledge you have given me today in all the videos I watched so far is priceless
Great content my man thinking of building my own fish room soon meant for breading. I love the way you can keep it fun and informative
When I was 18 I used to breed guppies and donate them to kids. I've really missed it lately and wanted to start a small scale operation like this. Thanks for the tips. I'll be researching more but so excited too 😁
cool , we all seem to have bred guppies at one point
those things are the best
Been waiting for this! I watched your videos and successfully bred my rams. I will try this method!
Great vid bro, I appreciate your insight. Your content is always so helpful. Your delivery is articulate and on point!!! Great job 👍
I think this video was much more useful than you think! Top work, you’re an inspiration! 👏🏼
Could you talk about how you plan your breeding based on demand? Do you make sure you have a certain number of a juveniles from a species each month? Or do you just keep raising whatever is spawning? Thank you for all the great info.
Very helpful advice man great video! Gives me some ideas to start my breeding tanks I honestly was thinking fish in different tanks with different plants like Amazon sowrd' moss ect but adding it all in one with a clean up crew is a good idea plus more room for my personal tanks aha
High quality vids lately, the work you have been doing is impressive, keep it going bro! Greetings from Norway!🤩
Thank you! You are such a nice young man. Your parents did a great job🥰
Excellent. That’s the first time I’ve had it explained and it makes perfect sense.
The most impressive thing about this video, is the dedication and knowledge in your art at such a young age.
Thanks! You have great content. I have learned a lot from you.
🥰🏆
Gimme a tour of your fish room!
Good content though, I love seeing helpful info getting out and encouraging people to do more in the hobby.
Just found your channel and loving the content!
Your videos just keep getting better!
another great video with heaps of useful info! thanks!
Awesome video nick! Thankyou for a very informative video 😊
Learned a lot from your videos! Keep it up :)
Great video and informative!! Thank you!
its awsome to see and recognise a local fish store in your video keep it up :)
Great video, thank you for the info. Maybe you can do something on how you ship the guppies, shrimp and snails. I was always wondering how that is done.
Ive had a 55 gallon for years now.. i put bettas, green cory cats and bristlenose plecos in just to have.. bristlenose started producing babies and got me interested in the others as well..! Found your channel and love all your content..! Cheers from Michigan in the states
Multiple males in same tank?
@@E2ITK lol no just one male.. initially had one female.. bought 2 more and a male
Great video! I am wanting more ideas like this. Endlers blue shrimp and SRLF bristles in a 40gallon is my setup. Works well but want to do another tank with different things maybe micro crabs/rasboras/water lettuce/ java moss/corys
Do your shrimp bother your fish?
An awesome video with great ideas! Thanks
The previous lemon danio video tutorial works wonder on me
The set up work very well
Even with only 1 pair i get like 30+ fries
Thanks mate
I'm double this kids age, had multiple careers, and I love how intelligent he is. I hope you are a rich man by now. You've helped me so much with my hobby.
I'm triple his age. ( Got grandkids his age!). Worked in petshops and have had many tanks. But his knowledge and how he explains things is so impressive!! I love watching his shows! Keep up the good work!
Well done!
This was great! Very smart idea of using basically
I really Enjoy your videos, very good explinations and style. Thanks for shareing
So I have Hawaii Variatus Platies and Endlers breeding in my 55 gallon planted tank. The bottom dwellers are Borneo Loaches, Panda Corydoras, and snails(Mystery, pond/bladder, Malaysian trumpet snails, and ram's horn.)
However, I only ended up with 1 female Endler fry grow, whereas 30 Platies matured out (3 males so far).
Very informative thank you!
Loved the video, I was on the fence on trying to breed for some extra income... while I'm probably a long ways off from doing it... this video has given me confidence that it is possible to do it... btw have you had experience using duckweed to act as a natural filter to bypass the issue of ammonia and other similar things? I saw videos and read some info on that and it has additional income results too if you sell that stuff
Very good tips. Subscribed!
Thanks. I was thinking an interesting video would be to discuss the various avenues you utilize to sell your fish and realistic avenues to pursue for amateur breeders.
Love the vid mate still waiting for my plecos to mature so I can breed them feels like forever lol
Thank you! Awesome video!
Hey great job and great information for the beginners.
Fantastic info. Thanks!
Lol sitting here with 5 Tanks, mini pond and several smaller glas containers after starting with 1 mixed tank a year back looking for ways to optimize for breeding for profits having basically most of the stuff you mentioned. guppies, red and blue shrimp and tons of snails thinking about putting plecos in the 200L. I kinda became addicted to glas containers but makes fun. Great video on breeding fish for Profit for Starters. Fun to see so many similar ways and also learn from your experience. And yes more containers make it easier in the longrun but 1 is a good start you can achieve a lot from if combined well. Thanks
Love your Content. Thank you
Another great video, thanks.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips😊
Excellent video! 👍👍👍
Thanks for the honest from the start💯💯💯
YOU ARE GENIOUS MAN! love your videos!!!
Love your honesty - so many people promote things as how to make a quick buck. The set up and maintenance is an expense, and a time commitment. If anyone can make a hobby profit a little that's good. So managing expectations is great. You are amazing for someone so young to be so knowledgeable, eloquent and credible. Respect!
thanks! im thinking about starting a business and this helped alot!
Great video man
Could you do a video on selling fish at shops and whatnot? Would be very helpful!! Love the content
Thats a must do
Nice video G
What filter and heating should I use because I don’t know about filters and heating
Thanks Buddy Realy Simple n moretivated...
Thanks for the suggestions. I have blue shrimp, guppies & platys that are breeding so it would be great to make enough money cover the cost of my aquarium equipment. 🙏
I just bought a small rack of 20longs that I plan on using to breed, so excited! Not really focusing on the profit, more so looking just to enjoy and learn. I have a small colony of shellies that are going to be moving into one of those 20 shortly, then the next one will be a shrimp tank, and not sure what the 3rd is gonna be yet
However, I definitely plan on selling some obviously 😂
The betta at 0:18 is so beautiful !!! Is he a galaxy betta ? Great video as always
🌟 Wow. I dont have the words for this guy 🙌🏾 but im glad i found the channel.
Good information thank you
Thank you great video!
Thank you so much! New sub!!
You're very appreciated!
What endler strain would be best for the endler, shrimp, snail tank?
This is actually a really easy idea 💡
Cool vid I may try this
Your vídeos are quite informative
Check your local listings. From where I live, endlers and ramshorn snails don't really sell very well. They're basically free. But that's just in my area.
I would add a floating plant to all of these methods as well.
Your Blue Dream shrimp are amazing!
Hi nick! Can you tell how the best way to ship Java moss please thanks a lot🙂👍🏻
Hey bro How many liters is your betta grow out tanks. I have a batch of fry of about 200 probably more. I have a 200l for my grow out is this enough.
Interesting; do you have a list of these recommendations?
Great video the only fish I’ve bred are CPD’s I got about 30 fry that survived all were females. I was still happy to be successful though. I’ve had a pair of rams I got young and they paired up for about 6 months now still no eggs but every morning they do some dancing and lip locking with each other. I’m missing something 🤔
Thanks for ALL your hard work and knowledge you share with us! In this video you say we might have to "reset the tank up" for the shrimp, what do you mean by that?
Shrimp always kind of interesting, gonna try that
Thanks!
Would it make sense to breed Rams in a 55 gallon tank or should I stick to guppy’s and shrimp
I have an ecosystem tank like that with guppies, shrimps, snails and plants. But the type of shrimps I keep can get a little bigger than the guppies so if they don't get enough food, they'll eat the guppies instead if they could catch them. So I keep the water level high so the fish could run from the shrimp.
4:25 Besides Ebay, do any of you know somewhere that will actually buy ramshorns? I've tried everywhere, but nobody seems to want 300 semi-mature "pest" snails
I have really learned a lot from you. Wished you lived closer would love to have some of you fish.
Where can you get a constant buy base from would eBay be able to continually give you customers?
I think you gave a lot for your video. For someone to do it for a hobby and have their expenses paid I think that’s pretty good. I saw others mention it. I would be interested in knowing how you package/ship to guarantee survival.
This was plenty, thanks. I can at least get started and learn the ropes.
Ur honest word 🤗keep fish simple
Do you need lid on your tank that has ramshorn snails?
How do you keep floating plants if you have a HoB filter? Mine sucked up every speck of duckweed, and people say it's near impossible to get rid of duckweed.
Nice topic
Do you have any seahorses or blue shrimp for sale? Your website says sold out of all the shrimp, will you be getting some in soon?
A 55 or 75 gallon with a breeding pair of Jack Dempsey or Gold Saum/Green Terror also is a good way
Calico convicts in a 40B as well
im having trouble breeding my bristlenose plecos. also keep up the great work! :)
Firstly, make sure you have a matured pair. Then condition them by feeding heaps of vegetables and then do a big cold water change.
@@je1902 well they all are mature and 2 females are very plump and full of eggs
@@thorn7742 As JE said, drop in some cucumber and do a big water change.
@@strider5119 i just did a big water change so maybe now they will?
Do they have wood in the tank? That’s very important
Shrimp are a bit difficult to bread with other fish in the tank. They work well with snails, and perhaps Neon Tetras, but basically, if a fish can fit a shrimp in it's mouth it will eat it, so the larger shrimp will survive but most of the babies will be eaten. This especially happens if the other fish in the tank figure out that there are baby shrimp in the tank. Once they've had a taste for baby shrimp, they will hunt them :-(
You need more plants lol
So far I’ve had 4 platy fry survive in a 20 gallon in a lightly planted tank with a ghost shrimp. I think it is concentrating on my plants. Fry are a week old.
I respect you for doing what i planned to do as my dream Life, sadly the lack of finances from my family and the Place where i live male It impossibile unless i work my ass for 10 years to get the resources needed to start
also any tips on getting my plecos to spawn?
