Absolutely he would. Pippen was the key to the 1991 NBA finals when he was put on Magic who manhandled MJ in game 1. Somehow Pippen's no where to be found when MJ fans discuss the 6-0 thing. This is why MJ retired in 1998-1999...he knew how difficult things would've been for him with Pippen no longer his teammate.
I think his shooting from 3 would be decent, and his switching ability on defense would be incredibly valuable today especially - he could guard the 1 through the 4, maybe even 5 in today’s game.
Pippen was the ultimate all rounder basketball player and not to forget a very smart and intelligent one too. To make a successful offensive play is a great attributes of any basketball player but to be able to read opponents offensive plays and counter them with your defensive moves and make an successful offensive play out of it when least expected, now that is a legend my friends, that's Scottie Pippen.

TheRoseExperience I highly doubt that, because perhaps what you have been seeing online are his highlights, which only showcases the good stuff. There's a point that the Bulls' had Scottie guard him for an entire series and beat the Magic 4-0.
TheRoseExperience I still remember the game where Horace Grant came back to the United Center for the first time after going to Orlando as a free agent in '95. Pippen was a man possessed in that game and locked down Penny something fierce. I don't think Penny even scored double digits in that game. And in the '96 ECF Penny had a great Game 1 but Pippen pretty much held him to a sub-par series after that on the way to a 4-0 sweep by the Bulls.
Like the late Kobe Bryant said, “YOU WANNA LEARN DEFENCE.... WATCH SCOTTIE PIPPEN”. R.I.P!! Mamba for Life!! PIPPEN was a ONE MAN WALL though to break!!
Scottie Pippen is my all time favorite player. He is the most disrespected Superstar in NBA history. He is without a doubt a top 25 all time greatest player yet no one gives him the credit he deserves. smh
how on earth most disrespected in youre selected one of the 50 greatest players of all time?, also his partner MJ always acknowledge him in every interviews,
Pippen is a 1st ballot Hall of Famer, top-50 player of all time, and universally regarded as one of the best defensive players of all time. In no world is Pippen underrated.
Disagree, he's regarded VERY highly. He's a top 20 player all-time, and I don't think anyone would disagree. He gets his due. I live in Chicago. Believe me, nobody underrates him in these parts.
+MichaelMick He gets overshadowed by Jordan's stature and aura. Jordan fanatics think he's done it all by himself but I'm sure Chicagoans have a different perspective since I'm sure they appreciate the overall team.
It's so true. I always think about when people scoff at Lebron being mentioned with Jordan or Kobe. They always bring up Jordan's 6 titles. People tend to forget Jordan had an All-star team playing with the Bulls...Rodman & Pippen are two of the best defensive players in NBA history. Jordan was great, no doubt, but you need team depth to accomplish their wins. The Bulls in 96 have arguably the best defense in NBA history with their length, speed, intelligence, and pure determination. They had Toni Kukoc, the NBA 6th man of the year in 96, who was their 3rd leading scorer for 3 years in a row. Steve Kerr..the list goes on and on.
Thank you, let me confirm that you are absolutely correct. I grew up in Chicago, lived there during all their championship runs. Even then, I thought the Bulls were a great TEAM. Jordan was a star component on the team but honestly, even without Jordan, the Bulls were still good enough to be contenders in the East.
Pippen was the leading vote getter on the NBA All-Defensive First Team, voted by the coaches, 4 consecutive years, in 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1997, and as far as I'm concerned, that's the REAL DPOY! 1994: Pippen 1st (45/52 pts); DPOY: Olajuwon 3rd (35 pts) 1995: Pippen 1st (46/52 pts); DPOY: Mutombo 2ND TEAM!! (26 pts) 1996: Pippen 1st (55/56 pts!!); DPOY: Payton 3rd (48 pts) 1997: Pippen 1st (53/56 pts); DPOY: Mutombo 3rd (50 pts) Scottie Pippen NEVER won the Defensive Player of the Year award, and that may be one of the biggest travesties in sports. Why? Because the DPOY is voted by the media, and they know squat about real defensive talent. You know who recognized that Pippen was the best defender of the 90's? The coaches!
Bruh opposing coaches can’t watch every game of an opponent. But congrats on that accomplishment. Phil Jackson shitted on coaches voting for Kobe, who he watched every practice, & game, still making defensive teams, when Phil, Kobe’s own coach, felt he didn’t deserve it. Tex winters also said the same about Kobe. Now this isn’t saying Pippen didn’t deserve it, but it’s saying that coaching system, is sometimes flawed. Then missing 38 games and making 1st team defense in 1998 is questionable.
I'm sorry, but as great as he was it was a big man dominated league those years he won DPOY. The truly best anf more unstoppable offensive players were PF/Cs Even though the Bulls were the most dominant team, there's no argument for his versatile impact on the defensive end being above the likes of Robinson or Olajuwon those years or even Mutombo.
@@jaybrick8973 Are u kidding me, right? Go check which year MJ won his DPOY. 1987-1988 season! That was when Sottie was a ROOKIE AND didn’t even START one game, averaged 20 minutes a game. Yeah, he shoulda won the award?!?!!
I love every video you've made of Pippen, and I read someone's comment in this video saying, "You only showed steals and blocks". I told him, "People don't understand how to watch for Pippen's ability to prevent the other team from making the smooth entry pass due to Pippen always threatening the lane. As a fan you watch the player with the ball, so it's hard for almost anybody (other than a good coach) to see how amazing Scottie was at blocking or threatening the lane. He literally prevented entire teams from playing their normal sets... but without a video that includes narration describing this along with someone drawing circles on the screen (like Kenny Smith) it would be impossible to just run a video of Scottie's finer defensive skills, because most would be blind to see those skills. Plus each video would have to be 30 minutes long if you include all his hustle plays, etc that weren't just steals or blocks lol
Scottie, what CAN'T you do? Absolutely nothing ❤ I watched you do it all in this video. Thanks for all the years you've given us every time you were on the court. Thanks for being such a good leader, humble and classy.
I watched Russell play Chamberlain...I saw Oscar Robertson, , Larry Bird, Jordan, Kareem...etc. I've seen most of the greats. I never saw anyone as good as Pippen.
When MJ practiced against him everyday. Lol no wonder why everything looks easy for MJ. He got two of the most defensive players ever played to practice and guard him every single day of practice. 📍
This is an extraordinary excellent video that let me know how good and important Pippen is, thanks for uploading, really a nice video for a true basketball fan like me ^^
Jordan is the G.O.A.T., great all-around volume scorer in both isolation and off the ball, elite defender and rebounder for his position, an assassin in the final 6 minutes in the game, and a fiery competitor who always played with a chip on his shoulder. He was the face and hero of the league and delivered. But Pippen deserves just as much credit in the Bulls championships. Pippen was the anchor of the Bulls pressure defense and he was the playmaker who kept his teammates involved in the offense throughout the entire game. He took on the toughest defensive assignments on the perimeter and kick-started many of the Bulls runs by creating a turnover on the defensive end and either finishing on the fast break or knocking down a pull up three-point shot. Pippen also lent moral support to his teammates after MJ lashed out at them. Pippen made the Bulls play better as a team. And the Bulls' elite pressure defense and the reliability of his teammates to make an open shot in crunch time gave the opportunity for MJ to be the finisher in the final six minutes. And Pippen made that happen. And MJ knows it.
i hate when people say jordan made scottie. That not true. Scottie played some of the best defense i have ever seen but the media just thinks of jordan as god saying "look at how jordan is making all stars" its bull (no pun intedened) scottie is someone who i want on my dream team. He can shot the J then play great defense.
Michael Jordan has had enormous impact on Scotties defensive ability. But it took great talent and hard work from Scottie to be able to reach that level of defensive mastery. But there is no doubt that MJ has taught a lot of things to Scottie when he joined the Bulls in 1987
i totally agreee.MJ made Pip that great defender that he was, thats obvious.Pip had to guard him every day,in every practice. And MJ didn`t take one day off as we know.I cant imagine what it must have been like,to compete every day against the greatest scorer in the game..-
If that was the case than the bulls wouldve been compared to a team like the pistons in terms of defense. Chuck daly was a coach who focused on defense while phil was balanced but more about scoring. Scottie was the only major defensive threat on that team. And before anyone gets butthurt notice how i said MAJOR their were people (like grant) who was good defensivly but scottie was the one who really brought it to the team.
The only one who's butthurt is you. MJ was the best defensive player on the Bulls team even after Pippen's appearance. MJ has had more than 200 steals and 100 blocks 2 seasons in a row. There is no doubt MJ has taught a lot of things to Pip. What are u trying to deny? That MJ has had a great impact on Scottie's defense? Don't try that.
bro calm down all i was saying if mj had an impact on one player than why didnt he have an impact on the starting lineup. Hell I could be wrong but if that was the case (as I stated in my previous comment) they would be compared to defensive teams such as the pistons. I dont think you understood me.
"Pippen would shut queen James down" "Pip would leave lechoke ice cold" what a compliment that folks are so insecure about Lebron, they say that the best perimeter/wing defender in nba history would shut him down. A shame Jordan NEEDED him for 6 rings, or Jordan would've been the 1 getting shut down.
you people say jordan needed pippen, i love pippen, but lebron DID leave the cavs and DID win titles but... he got WADE,BOSH,ALLEN people are always forgetting allen did he win the 2014 finals? NO! he lost to an aging SPURS... AGING!!!! Jordan Pippen and Rodman did win championships 6 of em straight! against the greatest
#1 the spurs were a younger team than the heat overall the past 2 years (that's a proven fact) #2 the bulls did NOT win 6 straight championships (also a proven fact) calm down nostalgic nut hugger the cognitive dissonance is strong in you
Actually Pippen and Jordan used to play one on one, they interviews the whole Bulls team and at one point Pippen had to team Michael to slow down. Michael is the greatest.
michael vincent fernandez Rodman didn't win with Jordan the first 3 titles, but the other 3 titles, he won them after his Piston and Spur days were over.
As a Knicks fan from the 80s, I give respect when it's earned, those Bulls teams with Jordan and Pippen earned their stripes. Pippen was frustrating for me, as a Knicks fan, to watch.
Mine too. Hard worker, possibly best all around game, post up, drive, hook shot, 3 point shot, defense, dunker, and humble!!!!! Most underrated player. Is Jordan better? Yes, but not by much. People forget Jordan needed Pippen too, they both needed each other.
Scottie and Jordan were such a great defensive duo. People focus on the flashy offense but those bulls teams could shut you down. I remember the term "unleashing the doberman's" their full court press lead to much frustration for their opponents. And this was back when playing zone would get you and illegal defense call. It was fun to watch the other team come unglued with frustration.
Scottie Pippen was one of the elite defenders of all time which goes to show just how great Michael Jordan was. Check out what their teammate Craig Hodges had to say... "I can remember this one time in, I think 1990 when Scottie decided to challenge Michael one day in practice", Hodges said. "Michael kind of backed up for a half-second. Then he proceeded, literally, to score on Scottie at will. It was incredible. I mean, Scottie Pippen even then was one of the best players in the league and Michael just rained points on him. Scottie had to step back and say, "Slow up, man".
Best damn defender in history. Jordan, Russell, Rodman, Bobby Jones, etc. were awesome. But when you combine on the ball defense, passing lanes, ability to defend all five positions, sacrifice and hustle taking charges and team defense, he's in a class by himself.
People get so caught up with MJ that they forget just how stellar Pippen was. Let's remember folks MJ couldn't get a ring until they added Scottie and they didn't establish pure dominance until a few more names were added to the roster.
I love how he was able to block shots and keep the ball in play. It is sad that this dude will never be appreciated. The Jordan legend continues to grow. It is at a mythical level now. People will have the nerve to say that Jordan was a much better defender. Much better? That's the part that bothers me. They don't even say slightly. They go as far as to say much better. Saying things like "it's not even close".
southsider 35 Draymond is a beast. I think he should have gotten defensive player of the year last year but I can't put him ahead of Pippen yet. If he continues 5o play at that level 5h3n he will have an argument.
Jason Stewart Draymond has had a toughness for a premier defender we haven't seen since Pippen, Rodman, and John Stockton. Maybe it's because I'm an old guy who loved the Bulls more than anybody in the 90s, but I can't stand the Warriors team other than Green. Everyone else just seems one dimensional
Many people overlook this but that what made the bulls dangerous they were so defensively strong, MJ and Scottie were lockdown defenders, Mj and Scottie are the only two players to both have 200 steals and 100 blocks in a single season, Mj did it twice not only the greatest player but the best two way player, when they got Rodman it was over, you have mj lockdown on perimeter, Scottie locks down all positions, and Dennis also good on the perimeter and in the paint
I hate it when people make it seem like Jordan carried those bulls teams by himself. They were 1-12 in playoffs games before they drafted Pippen. He had Pippen (best defender in the league), Rodman (best rebounder in NBA history), Phil Jackson (best head coach in NBA history), Kerr (best shooter in the league), Kukoc (best euro in the league)...when people look back at those teams, all they see is Jordan, and rightfully so. But those bulls teams were so stacked, even if you take Jordan off of them, they still had a contending team.
Spoot Spit i think scottie would man... LBJ is a great player and top 10 all time, but i feel like scottie is the guy to shut him down... he had the footspeed to stay with him, and scottie was big enough that he wouldn't get completely bullied by LBJ... but i think it comes down to scotties length and athleticism...
I'm personally tired of the "Jordan made Pippen" myth. If Jordan was never on the Bulls, Pippen would've still been great. He wasn't selected 5th overall in the 1987 draft for nothing. He was the 1994 All-Star MVP, led the Bulls in every stat, and is the all-time playoff steals leader. The only season he missed the playoffs with a losing record was his final season, when he was injured for 50+ games.
Did you ever hear about Pippen before he was drafted? I think not so stfu. Not trying to take away from Pippen but Jordan made that man the defender and offensive player he was.
I heard of Pippen before he was drafted. Most people probably wouldn't know this but the Bulls thought they had Pippen completely hidden before the draft and were at a safe spot to get him. However, many teams saw Pippen's skill in the pre-draft workouts and were very intrigued which is why Jerry Krause went into overdrive trying to move up in the draft to snatch him. Being a Pistons fan I remember an article on Chuck Daly seeing Pippen's skill in the pre-draft camps and was in awe. Detroit's GM Jack McCloskey boldly predicted that Pippen was going to be a superstar before he was even drafted and Detroit desperately wanted to get him but couldn't swing a deal.
@@Ratchetface Soft lol...I didn't here in NBA player Kawhi is soft They all said that Kawhi is so tough he can dunk in front of Face ,Embid,Cousins,Giannis,Capela, even if its two defender he can dunk...
I remember growing up scottie Pippen being my favorite player, I bought his shoes and jersey instead of the Jordan ones… for me he represented the best possible team member any player could have. He did what was necessary for his team to win, totally unselfish, if it was necessary to defend, he chose the best player of the other team to defend, if it was necessary to pass, he was willing to give up shots, if he had to get rebounds, you could count on him, etc, he sacrificed any personal achievement for the greater good of his team. Respect 🫡
Scottie you were a defensive clinic all by yourself every single game. Glad you played when I cared about the NBA, because you showed how the most important part of the game should be played. I took your lessons to every pickup game I played and thanks to you I was a better player.
People forget about Pippen not only being a scorer, playmaker but he was the Greatest Perimeter defender in NBA history and a lot of the nights would guard the other teams best player... Here is Pippens 6 finals appearances and you tell me if he wasn't an all time great 91 Finals =20.8/9.4/6.6/2.4/1.0 on 45% and Goat Defense 92 Finals =20.8/8.3/7.7/1.5/0.7 on 48% and Goat Defense 93 Finals= 21.2/9.2/7.7/2/1 on 43 % and Goat Defense 96 Finals= 15.7/8.2/5.3/2.3/1.3 on 34% and Goat Defense 97 Finals= 20/8.3/3.5/1.7/1.8 on 42% and Goat Defense 98 Finals=15.7/6.8/4.8/1.7/0.8 on 41 % and Goat Defense... Scottie was easily a Number 1 scorer on most teams and he put up these numbers deferring to Michael alot as seen by 94,95 seasons where he scored 22 and 21.4 % on 52 pct respectively ..... He is a top tier player even if he couldn't score 10 points but the fact that he could consistently put up 20/8/7 on Goat defense and he gets no recognition is baffling to me.. He was a better defender than Mj by far and he was also a better playmaker... He was also more valuable than Dwade was to Lebron and anyone that knows basketball knows MJ only won because Of Pippen.. Mj was a loser and 1-9 in the Playoffs before Pippen.. Pippen went on to go to the ECF without Mj in Portland only to get stifiled by a rigged game for a laker win so they could make the finals... It's a joke how MJ gets all the credit and no one even talks about Scottie Pippen.. Fuckin morons
game wasn't rigged... They missed 13 consecutive shots and Rasheed jacked up 6 of those misses... it was the most horrible meltdown I ever saw in a game 7 semifinal, up by 15 and then the misses shots began!
Great offence is a great defence and great defence is a great offence. That’s why I loved the 90’s basketball, nearly ever major All-Star were great offensive and defensive players. It was really entertaining.

Scottie Pippen is my all time favorite player. He is the most disrespected Superstar in NBA history. He is without a doubt a top 25 all time greatest player yet no one gives him the credit he deserves. smh
how on earth most disrespected in youre selected one of the 50 greatest players of all time?, also his partner MJ always acknowledge him in every interviews,
Kobe is the most disrespected legend, just because his game is like/better than jordan he becomes an afterthought.
Aditya Singh better?cmon man I agree he is the most disrespected and deserves a top 10 spot but mj is the original
Aditya Singh Kobe is not a better than MJ. He could only copy the 96-98 version of MJ. No one could copy the athletic version (84-93) of MJ.
😭😭😭💓true why?
say what you want, but Jordan wouldn't have won 6 without Scottie. One of the most underrated player ever.
YES!! Thank you Jay! So true...
Jay Kim I agree with you 120% Jordan wins nothing without Scotty, and vice versa
same for all the great players. Bill Russell wouldnt have won 11 without Sam Jones, John Havlicek, Tommy Heinsohn, KC Jones, Bill Sharman, Bob Cousy.
Goes for a lot of other greats
team work👍🏻
problably the most underrated player ever.
this was the most exciting basketball team to watch (72-10).
not only pippen... having jordan , pippen and rodman in defense is just mean :D
ollihro82 yeah of course
that's why i wrote TEAM
ollihro82 ikr, so so mean
Pippen is a 1st ballot Hall of Famer, top-50 player of all time, and universally regarded as one of the best defensive players of all time. In no world is Pippen underrated.
Simon Wilder By some he is. Not all give him his due. In general, get your point, though.
I just loved watching Pippen defend. Or play at all. He was a joy to watch.
James Harden disliked this video
haha it has 13 likes to
Moneyminty lol totally
Why?
In que me la
James Harden watched this video and the refs called a foul on the video.
Arguably the greatest defender in NBA history
100%
😂😂😂 greatest
Terry Crews kawhi up there with him
Greatest defender nope. Jordan was greater. But both of them are top 15 defenders
Cowboys 4Ever lol pippen was a better defender than mj
His game was smooth and his dunks ferocious, how he posterized Ewing, Barkley, Malone, and Morning...wow
Pippen doesn't just steal the ball from his opponent, he steals it with elegance and art.
Precise tecnique. You learn basketball seeing him.
Forever underrated.
Jordan is also one of the greatest defensive players in nba history.
Pisses me off he never won DPOY
that is a travesty
Scottie Pippen was a complete player in his prime!
This showed every aspect of defense to its very highest degree! 🏁
Pippen was the leading vote getter on the NBA All-Defensive First Team, voted by the coaches, 4 consecutive years, in 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1997, and as far as I'm concerned, that's the REAL DPOY!
1994: Pippen 1st (45/52 pts); DPOY: Olajuwon 3rd (35 pts)
1995: Pippen 1st (46/52 pts); DPOY: Mutombo 2ND TEAM!! (26 pts)
1996: Pippen 1st (55/56 pts!!); DPOY: Payton 3rd (48 pts)
1997: Pippen 1st (53/56 pts); DPOY: Mutombo 3rd (50 pts)
Scottie Pippen NEVER won the Defensive Player of the Year award, and that may be one of the biggest travesties in sports. Why? Because the DPOY is voted by the media, and they know squat about real defensive talent. You know who recognized that Pippen was the best defender of the 90's? The coaches!
Thank you, sir for this! My favorite player of all time!
The truly best anf more unstoppable offensive players were PF/Cs
Even though the Bulls were the most dominant team, there's no argument for his versatile impact on the defensive end being above the likes of Robinson or Olajuwon those years or even Mutombo.
He was better than Jordan defensively an they gave him one over him
@@jaybrick8973 Are u kidding me, right?
Thanks good to know everyone ain't mj blinds on. S.P. GOAT
Sounds like you really understand how the game is played. Well said. Wish more people have your knowledge.
Scottie Pippen is my favorite all time player. Seriously underrated. AFter Jordan left, he led the team in every major category.
Real talk .
He is mine as well pip was in the most complete player in history in my opinion.
The greatest defender of all-time!
No... He's at least 3-5 in that discussion
Of All-time bro. That dude was an anomaly and was screwed out of at least 3 DPOY awards
@@janseanhernane3191 Cut it out
@@paulg6921
Still not gonna put him over Rodman, Wallace, or Russell
Would put Rodman over him since they could both lock up 1-4 but Rodman could lock up 5. Rodman can literally lock up any position
I see a lot of Scottie Pippen in Kawhi Leonard... Leonard could easily be the 20-6 guy Pippen was and also plays incredible defense
I think Scottie and IGGY are similar.
Rican GuitarGod ur right, Iggy and Scottie are more assertive where Kawhi is different personality wise
Pippen is a better play maker though. Leonard's play making will get even better though, hopefully.
Pippen would be even greater in the NBA today than he was in the 90's with his 3's and D ability.
Preach it brother LOL
Kawhi Leonard lives that legacy.
He's also a point forward
Pippen playing in today's NBA would be like him playing a pick-up game against pre-schoolers.
& his play making abilities
Scottie, what CAN'T you do? Absolutely nothing ❤ I watched you do it all in this video. Thanks for all the years you've given us every time you were on the court. Thanks for being such a good leader, humble and classy.
I watched Russell play Chamberlain...I saw Oscar Robertson, , Larry Bird, Jordan, Kareem...etc. I've seen most of the greats. I never saw anyone as good as Pippen.
I hope you're talking about on the defensive end...
larry bird has zero D, you are joking
In today’s NBA he will be the best player
One of the best basketball videos on youtube.
Pippen is super underrated. This video proves just how GREAT he is!!!
Imagine if we had pippen in todays game? he would’ve ended so many todays’s superstars careers before they even started.
Greatest defender ever. Simply amazing.
those were the days.
His post-up defense is simply unbelievable, he pokes and steals the ball from the opposition with ease.
Greatest SF of All time!
petey1115 Larry Bird!
Calvin Odom Good One.
+Drew “Franklin720” Filson i gotta agree with u he had it all rebounding passing and the greatest shot and defense
+Drew “Franklin720” Filson never!
+petey1115 LeBron > pippen
When MJ practiced against him everyday. Lol no wonder why everything looks easy for MJ. He got two of the most defensive players ever played to practice and guard him every single day of practice. 📍
Should've won multiple DPOY awards.
can't help but wonder just how hard it would be for modern nba players to play against Pip, they would crumble under his pressure is my guess
Yes
They finna cross him over many times
They would adapt like all humans do.
Not KD🤷🏾♂️
These modern day players would cry like little girls if they had to face guys like Pippen
Wow, I am really amazed on how good Scottie Pipen was. I never really pay attention to his defense, wow he was good.
This is an extraordinary excellent video that let me know how good and important Pippen is, thanks for uploading, really a nice video for a true basketball fan like me ^^
What a treat to watch the awesome Scottie Pippen here. Great highlights vid.
The freaking memories,,, dammm I miss this so bad,,,, long live the greatest team ever Chicago Bulls,,,💯👍❤️✌️
could lock up Lebron easily
lol nah Lebron would average 28-30 ppg against pippen just like he can do it against anybody pure faxx lmfaoooooooooo.
David James
Lebron = an unskilled loser
I love pippen, very underrated. But just to remind u that kobe did played him the playoffs and won, tho pippin was getting old
No one can.
emmanuel dom, somewhat.
Jordan said playing 1 on 1 wit Pippen to his game to the next level
The NBA needs more guys like this
Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler are the closest ones I can think of right now that play like Scottie defensively.
Tylor Wade all NBA players today wants to shoot
i hate when people say jordan made scottie.
Scottie in his prime would shut Lebron James down.
He could shut just about anyone down. Even MJ but lucky for him he was on his side lol
JYPark14
Yeah, lucky for Mike.... Lol
I don't know about shutting him down, but I doubt anyone would've done a better job, and Pippen may have succeeded throwing him off his game.
BM3O8 couldn't have said it better myself
You guys are morons. Pippen would give Jordan and Lebron trouble. But he wouldn't shut them down. It's freakin MJ and Bron
Great video. One of my all time favorite players and he deserves all the recognition he can get for his contribution to the game.
Pippen would lock up steph easy.
Sirius Rogers. nope
+Sirius Rogers. Lol is that even a question? Pip would make Curry cry
He'd make curry quit basketball
***** Michael Cooper, Sidney Moncrief, Payton and Tony Allenwould all lockdown Curry
lol Curry is human, its not like hes a god. He can get shut down/slow down
by far the most underrated player ever
Damn that was a Masterpiece
Watching Pippen highlights always a pleasure.
pippen the best defensive player ever
Bill Russell
+thug8200 Olajuwon
He moves like a stealthy cat. So agile, one of a kind player in a century.
Am i the only one who Pippen was the favorite player? I am a Bulls fan because of him
just came from watching The Last Dance and I wanna say I love how he went from shy to full-on fearless badass over the course of years
Pippen never winning DPOY is the biggest robbery in nba history fr
Tim Duncan as well
"Pippen would shut queen James down"
"Pip would leave lechoke ice cold"
what a compliment that folks are so insecure about Lebron, they say that the best perimeter/wing defender in nba history would shut him down.
#1 the spurs were a younger team than the heat overall the past 2 years (that's a proven fact)
#2 the bulls did NOT win 6 straight championships (also a proven fact)
calm down nostalgic nut hugger the cognitive dissonance is strong in you
Actually Pippen and Jordan used to play one on one, they interviews the whole Bulls team and at one point Pippen had to team Michael to slow down. Michael is the greatest.
michael vincent fernandez Rodman didn't win with Jordan the first 3 titles, but the other 3 titles, he won them after his Piston and Spur days were over.
michael vincent fernandez
pippen and rodman are better than bosh and wade so whats your point?
my all time favorite nba player pippen
As a Knicks fan from the 80s, I give respect when it's earned, those Bulls teams with Jordan and Pippen earned their stripes. Pippen was frustrating for me, as a Knicks fan, to watch.
It is a highway robbery that Pip was only paid 2 mil for the 97-98 season & Jordan made around 30 mil that year
Scottie was my favorite player! Best defenser ever! #33
Pippen or Jordan? Pippen shadow warrior of chb - my favorite player and best defender.
Mine too. Hard worker, possibly best all around game, post up, drive, hook shot, 3 point shot, defense, dunker, and humble!!!!! Most underrated player. Is Jordan better? Yes, but not by much. People forget Jordan needed Pippen too, they both needed each other.
Vlad Gusil Absolutely. MJ and Bulls were about .500 til' Scottie became a star. Once that happened .... no stopping em'.
I'll go with Pippen too :)
Pippen is just as great as Jordan.. Dammnn
Not far off, all aspects considered.
likeaRockNroll not only that, I would even go as far as saying that Scottie was all around better assists, steals, and rebounds included
Best damn defender in history. Jordan, Russell, Rodman, Bobby Jones, etc. were awesome. But when you combine on the ball defense, passing lanes, ability to defend all five positions, sacrifice and hustle taking charges and team defense, he's in a class by himself.
Nothing like it. Criminally underrated. When someone called me Pippen on the basketball court. True honor.
Still one of the best basketball vids on the web. The music and editing are perfect.
+Jason Stewart As a Bulls fan, Scottie was the best perimeter defender ever.
+Stanley Ongjoco agreed!
+Stanley Ongjoco Draymond Green is better than Scottie Pippen
southsider 35 Draymond is a beast.
Man I think MJ is an All-Time Defender in his own right but I gotta give it to Pip, hes better on that end and imo a Top 5 Defender.
True.. still had Pippen, Grant, and solid role players like Paxson and elbows Cartwright and Wennigton....
***** MJs first retirement I believe helped Pippen develop alot.
Andrew Martinez
Lebron = an unskilled loser
with harper too
pippen would most certainly shut Lebron down at any point in his career
Most likely without fully trying
Spoot Spit He's the best defender that's not a center in the history of the NBA. He literally did everything.
+comicbookfan21 in which series was this?
***** lebron averaged like 26 a game in last years finals though...
Did you watch Pippen's rookie season when broadcasters were already predicting that Pippen would become a star? I think not so stfu.
Detroit's GM Jack McCloskey boldly predicted that Pippen was going to be a superstar before he was even drafted and Detroit desperately wanted to get him but couldn't swing a deal.
pippen made MJ it's a fact 1-9
+mikey James Then why is Pippen not considered the GOAT? Where are his 6 finals MVP's and 5 league MVPs?
The world needs more good defensive compilation videos like this. Defense makes all the difference.

Respect 🫡
Greatest defender of all time in NBA and best all around also.
3:01 That's the cleanest on-ball steal I've ever seen
Pippen wasn’t number two to Michael to me. Mike was 1A pip was 1B. Pip was that goddam nice
Some people forget that Jordan had a partner in crime. No matter how good u are, u cannot win championships relying on skill alone
TNT analysis=we've never seen a talent like this in the NBA (talking about LEBRON)
did they forget about SCOTTIE PIPPEN ....
Here is Pippens 6 finals appearances and you tell me if he wasn't an all time great
91 Finals =20.8/9.4/6.6/2.4/1.0 on 45% and Goat Defense
92 Finals =20.8/8.3/7.7/1.5/0.7 on 48% and Goat Defense
93 Finals= 21.2/9.2/7.7/2/1 on 43 % and Goat Defense
96 Finals= 15.7/8.2/5.3/2.3/1.3 on 34% and Goat Defense
97 Finals= 20/8.3/3.5/1.7/1.8 on 42% and Goat Defense
98 Finals=15.7/6.8/4.8/1.7/0.8 on 41 % and Goat Defense...
They missed 13 consecutive shots and Rasheed jacked up 6 of those misses... it was the most horrible meltdown I ever saw in a game 7 semifinal, up by 15 and then the misses shots began!
gerizzyYMcrew your delusional
gerizzyYMcrew Ecf in Portland dummy
He did more not paired with Jordan then the opposite. Mj never made it out of first round without pipoen

The best ALL-AROUND player ever!!! Da Bulls!!!
Before kahwi there was scottie.
Great offence is a great defence and great defence is a great offence. That’s why I loved the 90’s basketball, nearly ever major All-Star were great offensive and defensive players. It was really entertaining.
