i found shackles to be easiest to solve by simply having duo melee or tank/ranged or healer partners as there is 0 scenarios where you will both do the same thing so if your partner goes in, you go out and vice versa, if your partner is ranged and you're melee but he has purple, he goes in while you go out, uptime remains no problem and you don't have to think whatsoever once you've checked yourself for debuffs.
Hold on now, don't bring your easy and reliable method into this chat. Around here we like to overcomplicate a mechanic for no reason, call it simple, and then get toxic with anyone who messes it up.
Can you please re-explain that but make it make more sense for those who have yet to try this? Are you pairing melee with tank? Tank with ranged? Ranged with healers? I'm not following your poor grammar.
Ok, so here's something important that wasn't covered, and had me very confused for like 15 minutes while talking with my friends. At the start of the elemental cubes phase in NORMAL difficulty, you are assigned an element, and have to solve the sequence to survive. On SAVAGE, you are NOT assigned an element at the beginning. Considering this is week 1, and people will be coming into this with only normal as their knowledge base, that seems like an important distinction to make.
Nice guide! This fight seemed very tame, even for the first of the tier, but the healing check for intemperance was actually somewhat intense, there're like 3 raid-wides in there. Got a lot of value out of Expedient and the ASTs Macrocosmos in that phase.
My friends and I, half of whom have little or no Savage experience, decided to do this blind, so I'm posting this following our clear from last night. I am honestly amused that we came up with very similar markers/strats for both phases of chains. And that hitbox is so chonky that the melee on the outside still got full uptime. ^^ It was a fun fight to learn for a bunch of newbies! Thank you for your work on the guide, including notes about macros and week one stats!

This is helpful. Players never explain what the markers are for to newer players and get mad when they're running all over the map. I saw this issue during the Alexander fight.
yo i was hoping someone could shed some light on why the timer in fourthfold matters. and why you cant just run to your position (say red into a coner) ?. Asking coz this part has me realy confused.
So the reason is the debuff is assigned randomly. So you are on the yellow markers. You have a buddy who is also yellow, just doing the opposite of you. You are fine if you both get different debuffs. But if you both get the same debuff during fourfold shackles you are screwed. Sorting it by the timer means no matter who gets the debuffs everyone will have a place to go. This doesn't happen during ancient shackles because only one of each debuff goes out, so you will never be in a position where both you and your buddy got the same debuff. You also can't just go "reds go to corners" because then 2 people might end up on the same corner and that will mess it up. You need 1 red debuff in each corner for this to work.
For first shackles its easier to just let red guy go one corner as soon as he gets debuff and then 3 other ppl go adjust to corners once they see one guy is in corner (ehalers/ranged/tanks mostly)
I dont know if this will help anyone else as it did for me but fourfold shackles goes clockwise by length of time, it was a bit of a struggle finding where to go and then for whatever reason it clicked that I just needed to place myself in/out clockwise based on time, literally that's it, super easy mechanic as long as you dont over think it and that also applies to most of the fight
Our group dealt with shackles in a similar way, but it only requires the chained ppl (and their partners) to adjust. Tanks/melee inside, healers/range outside. We assign partners by colors. The range on yellow outside is paired with a melee on yellow inside, etc etc. Stand in your assigned spot, then move out if you get red, move in if you get purple. If you see your swap partner moves in to your spot (because he got purple chains), you adjust by moving out. If your swap partner moves out to your spot (because he got red chains), then you adjust by moving in. If your partner doesn't move, then you don't move. This method only require the two ppl with red or purple to move, and then their partner adjusts to them as needed.
@@Sorata77 4 fold is a different mechanic, so we can't use this strat for that. Since everyone gets chains for 4-fold and you can't know which color it will be, you can't preassign set positions for everyone. The strat shown in this vid is the one we use for 4-fold. Red out, purple in. Positions are determined by the timer on your debuff.
My static is currently progging this fight. We have our two melee at the E/W positions so they can maintain uptime, and for the shackles, we don’t have the entire party switch spots because it’s unnecessary and could lead to red stacking or purple being too far apart. Instead, if for example the tank I’m partnered with has red or I (bard) have purple, we would switch while everyone else stays put. That way we don’t risk wiping because one person wasn’t paying attention
I've played the game for years, but never attempted a savage before (and by extension never attempted it when it was current content). It's going to be fun finally giving it a go.
All my respect and admiration to players who love to do savage raids and find this funny, I have no patience and stomach for this. It's too much for me!
Honestly, I find Savage runs can be much more manageable and relaxing than even the Normal Mode runs. Almost everything is scripted, so it's pretty predictable. And if someone messes up it's just death or wipe. Beats the heck out of trying to put a band-aid on some dude with 6 vuln stacks and a death wish.
Fourfold timer strat is kinda making the mech even more harder than its, sadly once its done its gonna stay there for a while lol . its just red out, purple in. Most pf just get stuck on that phase due to the timer strat
As long as the red people remember to spread out. The mechanic falls apart quite quickly if people run into same direction and don't realize to adjust.
That's what I was just thinking. So have everyone go to their clock positions and then check yourself and your marker-partner. If either of you has something that doesn't belong, you both switch. Pretty simple to just watch 2 people especially when one of them is yourself, right?
during ancient shackles this works because only 1 of each debuff goes out. But during fourfold shackles the debuffs are random so if you and your partner both get the same debuff you end up scrambling to adjust and you probably will wipe.

"If the red chain is on is on ___ and the blue chain is on ___" And even stating that multiple people who are completely unaffected by the mechanic should swap too. That's inefficient. The fact is: you don't even need to know what the other six people in the party have. You just need to look at yourself and your partner. Instead, this video tries making overly-complicated strats like "if both chains are in dps then do this. If a tank and a healer both get chains then do this." It can easily be explained like this: "Go to your markers and then look at yourself and your partner. If either of you have a chain that does not belong where you currently are, then you both swap." I just explained, in two sentences, everything that you need to know from the 2:00 mark to the 3:00 mark in the video

This is my first savage and has been the bane of my existence. I know it inside out, I have done it countless times, and still I have not been able to clear. I literally went at it today with three different groups for a total of 6 hours and not a single clear. I am ded
So if we go off the N and NW flexer strat. For top explosive starts NW dps would be NW, S, N. The North tank is N, N, NW. If it's bottom explosive starts NW dps go NW, N, N. The tank would do N, S, NW.
it works as long as during the 2nd explosion they switched their color to whatever they needed. This strat exists because most people won't need to soak the north fire on the 2nd explosion, and someone has to.

@@hexlart8481 Okay so second question other then red is out and blue/purple is in, do the spots really matter? Like if 3 second red and 3 second purple aren't on 1 and A does it wipe the group or can any red be on any outside spot and same with blue/purple with the inside spots?
@@miricobladetail9670 they can be on any outside spot as long as its one person per spot. So theoretically a good party will adapt if someone is out of place and can't make it to their spot.
For the intemperance tank/dps swap, the order of top or bottom matters does it not? This affects where they go for the 2nd explosion before returning to swap for the 3rd.
Yes it's either you're in NW go to N and stay there. Or you're in NW go S to cleanse then to N. It's easy to figure out honestly you just need to know what cleanse you need to stay in N

Yes. All you need to remember though is if you're the swap tank you need to get the color that resolves the dps's square. If you're the swap DPS you need the color that resolves the tank's square.
An even easier way of doing the intemperance is doing it like this clock positions > n or south if you need to swap elements > clock positions. There will always be one person north and south and everyone who doesn't need to swap can be middle allowing for easy heal ups after the raidwides before moving back to original clocks
@@Mrhappy1227 it's basically everyone only worries about their own cubes so you only go n/s if you need to swap elements. most pfs I do this in run it pretty smoothly so it might be one of those things that sounds harder then it is in practice
You can't do this 100% of the time. If you do this when its Ice/ice/fire one person will get a damage down. This is covered in the guide. PFs do just sacrifice one damage down on a tank to do this frequently. Not gonna default recommend failing a mechanic for one person in the guide.
Not many people explain why this doesn’t work clearly. On one of the patterns, if everyone follows these rules, one of the middle crystals will not get soaked because no one needs it. All players are either mid or south with no one north. The unoccupied north crystal will explode and damage-down everyone.
What I don't understand is why the North and Northwest DPS have to swap under those conditions if the South doesn't? Like, if they can stay in the middle to be safe and not swap an element, then why do they need to swap if the southmost square is 2 ice and 1 fire? The North and South cubes will always be a fire and ice cube during the second Intemp, and if they don't swap from their original element from the first round of Intemp, wouldn't they be able to go back to their square since they still have the opposing element left? Basically, what is it about this mechanic that forces those northern squares to swap but not the southern ones?
If everyone tries to solve their own mechanic under the normal rules, for some patterns, there will be no one wanting to soak the north square on the second set of cubes. Everyone will either want to get hit by ice in the south to swap from fire to ice, or go to the middle to keep their ice. The south square doesn't have this issue. There is always someone that will want to go there for the second cube when people are just solving their own squares. So you need two people to do the mechanic differently to get someone on the north square for the second cube and then swap for the third one.
Okay, at first I was confused by your red/blue markers from the macro from the footage earl on in the video but then realized later in the video the numbers and letters are swapped xD

I'm finally getting into savage raids at when they launch. How does the gear work? Is it only 1 piece per week per raid like the normal versions when it drops?
Instead of dropping gear pieces it drops actual item coffers similar to the ex fights, and you will always get the mythos tome similar to the totems from ex fights. I believe you can get more than one but I might be wrong. It also drops radiant coating, radiant twine, etc that you can use to upgrade your astronomy tomestone gear to augmented gear. I am unsure if there are different limitations on this.
There are tons of different way to do it, therefore tons of different competing strat, and due to NA absolute refusal to use macro..... yeah, It is horrible.
At the start you don't have an element, so both can take the fire stack. If you're worried about the 2nd one, the offtank would take it. Offtank only has 2 patterns on the different combinations, so that's most likely what you're missing
There's one point in this guide that, without having touched the Savage fight yet, is confusing me. On the red+blue shackles you say the red AoEs are fired at the farthest players and the blue to the closest players. But farthest/closest to whom? The debuffed player? Or the boss?
It looks like it’s the boss, you can see at certain points the red around the outside, blue in the centre, I haven’t done this raid yet on savage but if it’s anything like the normal he doesn’t move off the centre spot
@@Fudge-_- The boss does move in both normal and savage, but he will re-center for certain mechanics and overall it is best to keep him in the center so its easy to handle some mechanics so if you have a good tank he will stay close to the center.

Yeah, as always - watching these videos before attempting the fight makes my head hurt at ~3 minute mark :/ Once I get some tries in, it becomes more clear
To be fair, his guide is bad. There are already much better and more clear strats out their, and guides that don't make your head hurt without needing to practice first.
why is a swap actualy needed for intemperance? no matter how you look at it everyone can solve there own cupe perfectly if double ice 1 fire off tank just stand middle to keep his ice/fire on 2nd set

Easy cheat for the NW dps swapping during intemperance- you still take your tile on the first explosion and the North tank tile for the third explosion. To figure out if you’re taking north or south tile for the second explosion simply follow the fist! If the lower fist is glowing, that one is pointing north so go north. If the glowing fist is the south one, stand south. The tank just needs to do opposite the fist. 😁
My only question is during Intemperance why do the North and Northwest positions have to swap and can't stay on their original spots for that one pattern? I'm not sure what I'm missing.
Because it's Ice-fire-fire but someone must soak it or party wipe. So tank is gonna get hit with the same element twice and get a damage down debuff that's why dps must adjust there
It can be resolved with any dps, NW is just the one his group chose. Some dps needs to swap with a tank (either tank can make it work as well) or on one pattern a tank will get a damage down. Although honestly the PF mostly just doesn't adjust and lets one tank get a damage down.

I doubt there's any way to explain it in a simpler, braindead manner, so hopefully, not as many people give you flak this time around (even though PF will still find a way to overcomplicate it). Happy chains is not working well in PF. A lot of players will be disoriented and often forget which timer goes where. Which leads to wasted time explaining over again and extra wipes just to understand. The worse is when players go to the same position and none wants to adjust. Then after the wipe comes the point fingers war.
I was in a group with some members of my FC doing a semi-blind run of this on day 1 just for the heck of it, before we formed statics for savage, and one thing our Warrior would do for the tank buster/swap was just invuln the second hit, then for the second buster, swap with the OT who then also invulned. However, we ended up with OT being Dark Knight, and healers being Sage and Scholar, so Dark Knight didn't have enough healing to get back to full for Living Dead, but we did manage to get to Fourfold Shackles after about two hours of prog.
Players are randomly assigned a red debuff or a blue debuff. There will always be 4 red and 4 blue. Just like in ancient shackles, when the timer reaches 0 everyone closest to a player with the blue debuff will get hit by a small aoe, while everyone furthest from a player with the red debuff will get a large aoe. However you can't just use the positions from ancient shackles. The debuffs are assigned randomly so if you and the person you would normally swap with in ancient shackles both get the same debuff, you will be scrambling to adapt and will probably wipe. So instead you look, if you have a red debuff you go to a corner, blue debuff goes to the center. You figure out which corner or which center marker to stand on by how long the timer is on your debuff. The shortest timer gets 1/A, longest gets 4/D, and so on. The timer lengths are 3s, 8s, 13s, and 18s. So 3s stands on 1/A, 8s stands on 2/B, etc.
as someone who plays in the jp data center to minimize ping. im used to seeing macros for strats in every savage encounters....but i cant read japanese lmao
During the first temperance NW and N never have to swap no matter what pattern. Just run N or S to swap color no matter the distance. Just as long they swap their color, (if they have to) they are all good💪. It's honestly not a big deal👍
Yea... those chains feel like they're random... I got the Red debuff but the Blue chains. Is that supposed to happen or am I just too dumb for Savage? Also, with Intemperance, where are you supposed to go? As DPS, I was told to go to the SW corner because the Debuff didn't show up at first. But I got hit for 9/10 of my health and the entire party took increased damage. I have no idea what I am supposed to do here.
If you get the red debuff but you see yourself get a blue chain attached to you that means you are too close to the blue debuff player and will get hit by both attacks. It can also happen if someone is out of position and too far away to take their chain. With intemperence there are 3 parts. First explosion, second, and third. For first explosion each person needs to be in their own box, do not share boxes or you will probably wipe, this is likely what happened to you. Generally how this is organized is DPS go corners while healers go east/west and tanks go north/south. At the beginning of the raid people will usually figure out who is going in what box. Remember that and you'll be fine. You also should look at the colors on your box. Ignore the middle that is always the same. Just keep in mind if there are 2 of the same color or 2 different colors on the top and bottom. For the second explosion you will instantly die if you are in any of the cells with purple boxes. These will always be the 3 eastern cells and the 3 western cells, leaving north, south, and center safe. In the first explosion if you saw that there are 2 of the same color in your box, you now go north or south. North if you had 2 blue and south if you had 2 red. If you had different colors you stay in the center box with the boss. For the third explosion you return to the box you started with. One DPS will also have a special pattern to follow but thats usually the NW DPS. If you get that position just ask for a clarification of what pattern you do and your party should help. I hope this helps!
Holy shit yall over complicated the fuck outta chains. Just pair a support and a dps and swap if it'd result in purple not inside. Setting markers to duration for fourfold is completely pointless too, just purple in, red out, which marker you're on doesn't matter at all
it does remove the chance of getting the awkward situation where a dps and their tank/healer partner both has the same debuff and both cant resolve normally without one adjusting to another spot. my group did the partner setup for fourfold and it was a tossup we'd live anytime pairs got the same debuff. atleast this way theres no need for any adjustments, so it would make the better PF strat
This Fourhold Shackles, for me, it's unecessary complicated. Just use the partner strat with clock postion. If you have Purple Chain, stay inside and your partner go out and vice-versa. As far as I know there won't be any Tank or Healer with the same color shackle.
I heal too and its actually not bad! Just deep breaths and go for it, you'll find its a lot more manageable than it looks. Tips as a healer tho: wardens wrath hurts a lot to shield/heal for that, same with the transition move at the beginning and end of shining cells. other than that just know where you need to go for each mechanic and you will be fine!

Fourfold shackles is killing party finder right now. So much panic, people run first and then check their duff second when it's too late xD
Fourfold shackles is probably the mecahnic that most people dispute over. Like whether you want to resolve it by timers or just positionals

This is helpful. Players never explain what the markers are for to newer players and get mad when they're running all over the map. I saw this issue during the Alexander fight.

yo i was hoping someone could shed some light on why the timer in fourthfold matters. and why you cant just run to your position (say red into a coner) ?. Asking coz this part has me realy confused.
So the reason is the debuff is assigned randomly.
So you are on the yellow markers. You have a buddy who is also yellow, just doing the opposite of you. You are fine if you both get different debuffs. But if you both get the same debuff during fourfold shackles you are screwed. Sorting it by the timer means no matter who gets the debuffs everyone will have a place to go.
This doesn't happen during ancient shackles because only one of each debuff goes out, so you will never be in a position where both you and your buddy got the same debuff.
You also can't just go "reds go to corners" because then 2 people might end up on the same corner and that will mess it up. You need 1 red debuff in each corner for this to work.
for single shackles, red go far north, blue go mark on middle who dont make inside one of 3 middle marks left, go far south, much easier
For first shackles its easier to just let red guy go one corner as soon as he gets debuff and then 3 other ppl go adjust to corners once they see one guy is in corner (ehalers/ranged/tanks mostly)
For the intemperance, isn't it easier for the south tank (OT) to do the swap + 1 of the south dps?
I hope more people find out about the easier way to do intemperance, because from what I've seen in pf a lot of people are making it complicated
Just rotate on first or last clockwise, doesn't get much easier than that.
I dont know if this will help anyone else as it did for me but fourfold shackles goes clockwise by length of time, it was a bit of a struggle finding where to go and then for whatever reason it clicked that I just needed to place myself in/out clockwise based on time, literally that's it, super easy mechanic as long as you dont over think it and that also applies to most of the fight
Our group dealt with shackles in a similar way, but it only requires the chained ppl (and their partners) to adjust.
Tanks/melee inside, healers/range outside. We assign partners by colors. The range on yellow outside is paired with a melee on yellow inside, etc etc. Stand in your assigned spot, then move out if you get red, move in if you get purple.
If you see your swap partner moves in to your spot (because he got purple chains), you adjust by moving out. If your swap partner moves out to your spot (because he got red chains), then you adjust by moving in. If your partner doesn't move, then you don't move.
This method only require the two ppl with red or purple to move, and then their partner adjusts to them as needed.
How does that work on fourfold shackles? Is there not a chance that both partners could get the same colour shackles?

4 fold is a different mechanic, so we can't use this strat for that. Since everyone gets chains for 4-fold and you can't know which color it will be, you can't preassign set positions for everyone. The strat shown in this vid is the one we use for 4-fold. Red out, purple in. Positions are determined by the timer on your debuff.
My static is currently progging this fight. We have our two melee at the E/W positions so they can maintain uptime, and for the shackles, we don’t have the entire party switch spots because it’s unnecessary and could lead to red stacking or purple being too far apart. Instead, if for example the tank I’m partnered with has red or I (bard) have purple, we would switch while everyone else stays put. That way we don’t risk wiping because one person wasn’t paying attention
I've played the game for years, but never attempted a savage before (and by extension never attempted it when it was current content). It's going to be fun finally giving it a go.
All my respect and admiration to players who love to do savage raids and find this funny, I have no patience and stomach for this. It's too much for me!
Honestly, I find Savage runs can be much more manageable and relaxing than even the Normal Mode runs. Almost everything is scripted, so it's pretty predictable. And if someone messes up it's just death or wipe. Beats the heck out of trying to put a band-aid on some dude with 6 vuln stacks and a death wish.

Fourfold timer strat is kinda making the mech even more harder than its, sadly once its done its gonna stay there for a while lol . its just red out, purple in. Most pf just get stuck on that phase due to the timer strat
As long as the red people remember to spread out. The mechanic falls apart quite quickly if people run into same direction and don't realize to adjust.
Isn't it easier for shackle to assign switch partners and switch those two ONLY if those two need to switch?

So have everyone go to their clock positions and then check yourself and your marker-partner. If either of you has something that doesn't belong, you both switch. Pretty simple to just watch 2 people especially when one of them is yourself, right?

The fact is: you don't even need to know what the other six people in the party have. You just need to look at yourself and your partner. Instead, this video tries making overly-complicated strats like "if both chains are in dps then do this. If a tank and a healer both get chains then do this."
It can easily be explained like this:
"Go to your markers and then look at yourself and your partner. If either of you have a chain that does not belong where you currently are, then you both swap."
I just explained, in two sentences, everything that you need to know from the 2:00 mark to the 3:00 mark in the video

So if we go off the N and NW flexer strat. For top explosive starts NW dps would be NW, S, N. The North tank is N, N, NW.
If it's bottom explosive starts NW dps go NW, N, N. The tank would do N, S, NW.

It works if NW dps and N tank also adjust second shot to have the correct end element. Works only if those player are fast thinkers

@@miricobladetail9670 they can be on any outside spot as long as its one person per spot. So theoretically a good party will adapt if someone is out of place and can't make it to their spot.

For the intemperance tank/dps swap, the order of top or bottom matters does it not? This affects where they go for the 2nd explosion before returning to swap for the 3rd.
Yes it's either you're in NW go to N and stay there. Or you're in NW go S to cleanse then to N. It's easy to figure out honestly you just need to know what cleanse you need to stay in N

Yes. All you need to remember though is if you're the swap tank you need to get the color that resolves the dps's square. If you're the swap DPS you need the color that resolves the tank's square.

An even easier way of doing the intemperance is doing it like this clock positions > n or south if you need to swap elements > clock positions. There will always be one person north and south and everyone who doesn't need to swap can be middle allowing for easy heal ups after the raidwides before moving back to original clocks
Might just be the way you've described it but that in no way sounds any easier than two people potentially swapping half the time.
@@Mrhappy1227 it's basically everyone only worries about their own cubes so you only go n/s if you need to swap elements. most pfs I do this in run it pretty smoothly so it might be one of those things that sounds harder then it is in practice
You can't do this 100% of the time. If you do this when its Ice/ice/fire one person will get a damage down. This is covered in the guide.
PFs do just sacrifice one damage down on a tank to do this frequently. Not gonna default recommend failing a mechanic for one person in the guide.

Not many people explain why this doesn’t work clearly. On one of the patterns, if everyone follows these rules, one of the middle crystals will not get soaked because no one needs it. All players are either mid or south with no one north. The unoccupied north crystal will explode and damage-down everyone.

What I don't understand is why the North and Northwest DPS have to swap under those conditions if the South doesn't? Like, if they can stay in the middle to be safe and not swap an element, then why do they need to swap if the southmost square is 2 ice and 1 fire? The North and South cubes will always be a fire and ice cube during the second Intemp, and if they don't swap from their original element from the first round of Intemp, wouldn't they be able to go back to their square since they still have the opposing element left? Basically, what is it about this mechanic that forces those northern squares to swap but not the southern ones?
If everyone tries to solve their own mechanic under the normal rules, for some patterns, there will be no one wanting to soak the north square on the second set of cubes. Everyone will either want to get hit by ice in the south to swap from fire to ice, or go to the middle to keep their ice. The south square doesn't have this issue. There is always someone that will want to go there for the second cube when people are just solving their own squares. So you need two people to do the mechanic differently to get someone on the north square for the second cube and then swap for the third one.

I'm finally getting into savage raids at when they launch.
How does the gear work? Is it only 1 piece per week per raid like the normal versions when it drops?
Instead of dropping gear pieces it drops actual item coffers similar to the ex fights, and you will always get the mythos tome similar to the totems from ex fights. I believe you can get more than one but I might be wrong. It also drops radiant coating, radiant twine, etc that you can use to upgrade your astronomy tomestone gear to augmented gear. I am unsure if there are different limitations on this.

For Temperance, why not just have the swapping pair swap every time? It's one fewer thing to look for and further reduces the complexity.

There are tons of different way to do it, therefore tons of different competing strat, and due to NA absolute refusal to use macro..... yeah, It is horrible.
Yes this is the de facto simplest strat. But joonbob released the same strat as mrhappy so pf will probably use this now
With Intemperance, What if N and NW has both Fire at start. You can't swap with eachother then? thats the only pattern we have not solved yet.
At the start you don't have an element, so both can take the fire stack. If you're worried about the 2nd one, the offtank would take it. Offtank only has 2 patterns on the different combinations, so that's most likely what you're missing
There's one point in this guide that, without having touched the Savage fight yet, is confusing me. On the red+blue shackles you say the red AoEs are fired at the farthest players and the blue to the closest players.
But farthest/closest to whom? The debuffed player? Or the boss?
It looks like it’s the boss, you can see at certain points the red around the outside, blue in the centre, I haven’t done this raid yet on savage but if it’s anything like the normal he doesn’t move off the centre spot
it is farthest from the debuffed player, you can see arcs of chains going from the debuffed player to everyone else when the mechanic goes off.
@@Fudge-_- The boss does move in both normal and savage, but he will re-center for certain mechanics and overall it is best to keep him in the center so its easy to handle some mechanics so if you have a good tank he will stay close to the center.

why is a swap actualy needed for intemperance? no matter how you look at it everyone can solve there own cupe perfectly if double ice 1 fire off tank just stand middle to keep his ice/fire on 2nd set
If you do this on half the patterns then the second set of cubes will be missing someone north. Boom, explosion, dead.

Easy cheat for the NW dps swapping during intemperance- you still take your tile on the first explosion and the North tank tile for the third explosion. To figure out if you’re taking north or south tile for the second explosion simply follow the fist! If the lower fist is glowing, that one is pointing north so go north. If the glowing fist is the south one, stand south. The tank just needs to do opposite the fist. 😁

Because it's Ice-fire-fire but someone must soak it or party wipe. So tank is gonna get hit with the same element twice and get a damage down debuff that's why dps must adjust there
It can be resolved with any dps, NW is just the one his group chose. Some dps needs to swap with a tank (either tank can make it work as well) or on one pattern a tank will get a damage down. Although honestly the PF mostly just doesn't adjust and lets one tank get a damage down.

Happy chains is not working well in PF. A lot of players will be disoriented and often forget which timer goes where. Which leads to wasted time explaining over again and extra wipes just to understand. The worse is when players go to the same position and none wants to adjust. Then after the wipe comes the point fingers war.
I was in a group with some members of my FC doing a semi-blind run of this on day 1 just for the heck of it, before we formed statics for savage, and one thing our Warrior would do for the tank buster/swap was just invuln the second hit, then for the second buster, swap with the OT who then also invulned. However, we ended up with OT being Dark Knight, and healers being Sage and Scholar, so Dark Knight didn't have enough healing to get back to full for Living Dead, but we did manage to get to Fourfold Shackles after about two hours of prog.

Players are randomly assigned a red debuff or a blue debuff. There will always be 4 red and 4 blue.
Just like in ancient shackles, when the timer reaches 0 everyone closest to a player with the blue debuff will get hit by a small aoe, while everyone furthest from a player with the red debuff will get a large aoe.
However you can't just use the positions from ancient shackles. The debuffs are assigned randomly so if you and the person you would normally swap with in ancient shackles both get the same debuff, you will be scrambling to adapt and will probably wipe.
So instead you look, if you have a red debuff you go to a corner, blue debuff goes to the center. You figure out which corner or which center marker to stand on by how long the timer is on your debuff. The shortest timer gets 1/A, longest gets 4/D, and so on. The timer lengths are 3s, 8s, 13s, and 18s. So 3s stands on 1/A, 8s stands on 2/B, etc.
as someone who plays in the jp data center to minimize ping. im used to seeing macros for strats in every savage encounters....but i cant read japanese lmao
During the first temperance NW and N never have to swap no matter what pattern. Just run N or S to swap color no matter the distance. Just as long they swap their color, (if they have to) they are all good💪. It's honestly not a big deal👍

Yea... those chains feel like they're random... I got the Red debuff but the Blue chains. Is that supposed to happen or am I just too dumb for Savage?
Also, with Intemperance, where are you supposed to go? As DPS, I was told to go to the SW corner because the Debuff didn't show up at first. But I got hit for 9/10 of my health and the entire party took increased damage. I have no idea what I am supposed to do here.
If you get the red debuff but you see yourself get a blue chain attached to you that means you are too close to the blue debuff player and will get hit by both attacks. It can also happen if someone is out of position and too far away to take their chain.
With intemperence there are 3 parts. First explosion, second, and third. For first explosion each person needs to be in their own box, do not share boxes or you will probably wipe, this is likely what happened to you. Generally how this is organized is DPS go corners while healers go east/west and tanks go north/south. At the beginning of the raid people will usually figure out who is going in what box. Remember that and you'll be fine. You also should look at the colors on your box. Ignore the middle that is always the same. Just keep in mind if there are 2 of the same color or 2 different colors on the top and bottom.
For the second explosion you will instantly die if you are in any of the cells with purple boxes. These will always be the 3 eastern cells and the 3 western cells, leaving north, south, and center safe. In the first explosion if you saw that there are 2 of the same color in your box, you now go north or south. North if you had 2 blue and south if you had 2 red. If you had different colors you stay in the center box with the boss.
For the third explosion you return to the box you started with.
One DPS will also have a special pattern to follow but thats usually the NW DPS. If you get that position just ask for a clarification of what pattern you do and your party should help.

Holy shit yall over complicated the fuck outta chains. Just pair a support and a dps and swap if it'd result in purple not inside. Setting markers to duration for fourfold is completely pointless too, just purple in, red out, which marker you're on doesn't matter at all
it does remove the chance of getting the awkward situation where a dps and their tank/healer partner both has the same debuff and both cant resolve normally without one adjusting to another spot. my group did the partner setup for fourfold and it was a tossup we'd live anytime pairs got the same debuff. atleast this way theres no need for any adjustments, so it would make the better PF strat
This Fourhold Shackles, for me, it's unecessary complicated. Just use the partner strat with clock postion. If you have Purple Chain, stay inside and your partner go out and vice-versa. As far as I know there won't be any Tank or Healer with the same color shackle.
It's not utility vs dps dependent, its completely random, so further adjustment is necessary sometimes. Had that 3 times in a row now.

I heal too and its actually not bad! Just deep breaths and go for it, you'll find its a lot more manageable than it looks. Tips as a healer tho: wardens wrath hurts a lot to shield/heal for that, same with the transition move at the beginning and end of shining cells. other than that just know where you need to go for each mechanic and you will be fine!
