Dear David: Thank you for this awesome tip! I just ordered my Arrow shirt on Kohls.com. BUT, is is now (as of August 27, 2020) a Clearance item! So Bond fans - act fast because the Arrow shirt may not be around for much longer! (I chose the Arrow style because its the one with a pocket.) Thank you again, David. Keep up the great work.

Great find! Arrow is an historic brand, and was still being touted in GQ and Details back in our younger years ;)

Great way to start the day David, a new"Frugal Bond" purchase. I ordered one of each of the brands. Wishing I had had this back when I visited that airport with Joe Darlington and Matt Sherman, that would have been classic, only thing missing would have been Mrs. Bell. 🍸

Dave, Good job. I Really enjoy these frugal Bond 'alternative' videos. Because the items are relatable & yet have that essential Bond look.
I enjoy all the video reviews, but when its something like an Omega watch, imo i'm kinda disconnected from it as its such a huge investment.
Also who knew ! a Moore era outfit from the 70's that can be worn today.....incredible 👍

Totally agree ....I love all of Bond Experience videos the style the humour. Frugal Bond is relatable and accessible. Dave has a great Bond collection I envy ...but the Omega watch thing...whilst I'm happy for him to echo your words I'm very disconnected. I have however learnt much about Bond style which can be homaged thanks to these very entertaining videos. Long may they continue

David- great job on this video and what a perfect frugal bond moment. You provided us a options for brand and sizing along with your own measurements for reference. I feel like if you look hard enough you can find some Bond inspired outfits at Kohl’s. #frugalbond #thebondstyle #thebondexpereince

@TheBondExperience I am ecstatic that you came back with a "Frugal Bond" segment. These were both great options and definitely be purchasing the Arrow shirt. I am curious how does this shirt and the short sleeve button down differ from No Time To Die? Maybe a compare/contrast?

Nice one. No Omega Watch for me....this I can do. Love the Frugal Bond stuff accessible affordable. You have great insight into clothing. Love the idea of an homage to the spirit of the look rather than a carbon copy. Also a look we can wear in the "real world" without feeling like cosplay

Good match up with the outfit in the film which was one of Rogers best looks. That casual look was a bit Connery - suited Roger well. Stylish and affordable.

Too kind David; #thefrugalbond! I enjoy wearing mine out to dinner with my wife, and as long as I do not add a bunch of gold necklaces to it, my wife agrees that it is a great looking shirt! LOL

I have had a short sleeve black shirt in my clothing inventory since I was in high school in the mid eighties 🤣. Why? Because Roger Moore wore one in LALD. Funny Actually need a new one...off to kohl’s 😀. Thanks David, get Mrs Bell a cold beverage that should calm her down 🤣 be safe

Love the frugal Bond moments, thanks David! I have the exact same chest and waist measurements so your sizing makes things very easy for me. 🙏
Side note: Live and Let Die is my favorite Roger Moore. I wasn’t a big fan of his movies at first but in the last year they’ve really grown on me. I just discovered The Saint with him, it’s been great fun!

Cheers to that comment. I grew up with the Roger Moore movies and they are definitely representative of the era and often don't stand the test of time. The 60s were so much cooler than the 70s but Sir Rog was always great in everything he did. Great to see his work being rediscovered and appreciated. He was always underestimated as an actor but being that natural and charming with great comic timing looking so effortless is a skill. Check out a show called The Persuaders he did with Tony Curtis just before Bond (some EPs are on UA-cam). It's great. Moore and Curtis adlib their way through some variable episodes as middle aged crime fighting millionaires....not as lame as it sounds

I feel ahead of the game here because I bought that Arrow one in Manila 4 years ago. It didn’t last all that long but I did wear it as a work shirt every day, so it was still good value. I replaced it with a very similar one from Zara eventually. Very versatile shirt.

  • @Tom_H327

It was the 70s. The shirt's sheen you are guessing about is from the material......Polyester. 😂
Everything was polyester in the 70s. 😉👍

I like the Marc Anthony version better - even though it's not as close to the Moore one in the film, I think it's a bit more contemporary for today's fashion.

I suppose the suits have always been important for Bond. For DR NO they really spent a lot on the wardrobe department. It kind of does seem crazy for such a limited budget. However, I suppose it is important for setting the style of it.
