THANK YOU! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church Jesus Christ established himself. After the Great Apostasy, truth, scripture, and ordinances were corrupted. There is no OTHER true Church of Jesus Christ on earth today.
To all those who think the Great Apostasy never occurred, it seems Paul disagrees with you. Enough said. I testify the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church upon this earth.
After all the apostles of Jesus Christ were killed, the priesthood authority went with them, so there was indeed a great apostasy for a time. Jesus Christ didn't have an established church on the earth because there were no ordained leaders, who could trace their authority back to Jesus Christ himself, by the laying on of hands. In the year 1820, a prophet named Joseph Smith, who saw God the Father, and Jesus Christ face to face, would soon after this beautiful experience, be baptized, ordained to the office of priest by John the Baptist, and the Melchizedek priesthood by Peter, James, and John, who could trace their priesthood authority back to Jesus Christ himself. These wonderful events that happened to Joseph Smith, helped end the prophesied great apostasy, which Paul talked about. Joseph Smith would be the first modern day prophet, and has helped Christ to restore his church to the earth again.
@Nathan Banks I'm now in a branch of about 35 people and am supposed to teach just Relief Society sisters. But since 2 families will be away, most likely, the Elder's Quorum will be combined. And most likely, many new friends that the missionaries are bringing in. Our branch just got elders maybe 4 months ago, so we have a lot more visitors and those who stay, but their knowledge of this gospel is basic. I have to teach so that everyone can understand - like, why should they listen to Elder Isaac Morrison's message? I prayed and decided it would be best to begin with a summary of the apostasy and restoration. But am still considering how much to explain at this point. I appreciate this brief explanation. I can sometimes use too many words, so look for help with others.

Short but accurate. It says a lot. 1st-- People in the day must have been spreading rumors that Christ had already come "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubles, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand." Not only this but as you can see, people were writing letters, posing as the apostles and telling the members of the church that Christ had come (The great Apostasy had already begun). "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" meaning a total and complete Apostasy. Short and real doctrine. Christ Himself said that the church would fall. He said "the Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to another nation producing the fruits thereof."
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Context: the people in Paul's day that the 2nd coming of Christ was right around the corner and started to quit their daily tasks. Paul reassured them that the 2nd coming of Christ would not happen until there was an apostasy first.
Although I do appreciate these videos and the message, the message of the Mormons is that you cannot enter their church unless you are Mormon, which completely goes against the Bible and the teachings of Christ.
Hi @Shovel. Actually, what @Jonathan Priest shared is accurate. Visitors are always welcome to enter any of thousands of Latter-day Saint meetinghouses around the world and attend Sunday worship services. It sounds like your Latter-day Saint friend was married in a temple, which is different from a meetinghouse. Like in ancient times, we consider temples to be literal houses of the Lord, and it is true that only members of the Church in good standing are allowed to enter. However, visitors of all ages are invited to a free public open house held for nearly every new or renovated temple. You and others interested can also learn more about temples, and even watch a virtual tour of the interior of a new Latter-day Saint temple in Rome, at the link below: newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/topic/temples We hope that helps answer your questions.
Hi Shovel, I don't know why anyone wouldn't allow another person to visit our churches. I invite you, whoever you are and wherever you live in the world, to come and rejoice with us!! Come to our meetings and see, what Jesus Christ has in store for you! You are always welcome to come to a chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! Jesus Christ loves you so much that, he died, and rose triumphantly from the grave for you! Not only this, but whoever you are and wherever you are in the world, you are more than welcome to join with us when we have a temple open house! Come and see why we believe temples are so important to mankind! God bless you brothers and sisters in the world, which includes both members of the Church of Jesus Christ, and those who aren't yet members!
It's a fallacy to say that the Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (not Mormons) do not allow non-members into the meeting house. That should be a different church, not the one I know of. VISITORS ARE WELCOME is the inscription on all the sign posts.
Well, you guys at least tried with the Greek writing… Many of those letters are written in modern Greek script, such as Σ and Ω. That is not how those letters looked at that time. Also, if you’ve seen the older papyri, they were not that polished and symmetrical. But at least it’s all caps and there’s no spacing between words!

Can someone make clear the third sentence
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Context: the people in Paul's day that the 2nd coming of Christ was right around the corner and started to quit their daily tasks. Paul reassured them that the 2nd coming of Christ would not happen until there was an apostasy first.
