Hmm, got your point about risk taking when playing in a team. I found the secret of being nearly invulnerable while playing solo. It's all in the food. The farming talent tree has an extra stomach slot/more food to eat, and 30% extra on vegetarian foods for 2 talents, they are good for stamina. The fishing tree has a 30% extra on pescatarian foods, again for 2 talents, they are good for health. Once you have the ingredients you can make them on the potbelly stove early on. The herbalism bench gives a health and stamina potion that gives a 2 min 30% buff and a high regen rate. The standard alteration bench has an alteration that gives an extra stomach/food slot. So with a bit of luck finding the ingredients, or by ordering down the seeds you can bulk up on health and stamina very early on to the point you can go soloing with a health bar that reaches over halfway your screen with a very respectable stamina bar that goes down slow and fills up fast. Health and stamina potions on my hotbar and nothing can kill me as long as I keep my wits about me. I'm old, I am slow, I have no hearing in my left ear and I am totally not combat specc'd so I am not exactly a great warrior but I can wear down a boss scorpion down with a knife and a crossbow. High level polar bears require care. All the rest is dead before they can seriously hurt me. Distances don't exist anymore, I can run right across the map without having to slow down give or take a map check. Biggest danger is running of a cliff on top of a bunch of bad beasts or doing something stupid. Like having your buffs run out halfway a fight so always eat before you need. About that maze-cave? The way Splitsie is of the building persuasion he will love that feature that they totally missed. Go back there, well prepared, and there is no way you can miss it. Then there will also be no way that you don't build something special down there. Ask me how I know ;-)
I haven't finished watching yet so not sure if someone says something later but before I forget I want to let you know I have found titanium deep ore on the Olympus map
For the watchtower missions, I have found 32 stone pillars, 8 wood ramps and 10 wood floors makes a nice tower to the top that is stable for the hardest missions.
11:00 Hey now Grounded is a great game as long as you don't try to finish the storyline. That final fight is rage-inducing, especially as a lone player.
IIRC, if you stand against the far wall, none of the lasers can hit you, so it becomes quite a bit easier. Annoying that you basically have to cheese it for it to not be utterly ridiculous, though.
@@KaedysKorI was referring to the part where you have to defend the 3 or 4 separate parts of the coffe-machine from increasingly more difficult waves of enemies. As a lone player that's pretty close to impossible since they do simultaneous attacks and it takes a while to kill each of the attackers meaning they have plenty of time to barrel through your defenses and destroy a module before you can even get there.
From my experience 'Easy' means the task isn't complicated and won't take to long and not the level of creatures you fight. 'Hard' takes longer and are more of a pita to complete.

TFE should do the building of the stone pieces, to a of exp that way he can catch up. Crafting the parts probably why Splitsie is so much higher level.
From the MST3K conversation. So many are hit and miss. Some of the old movies are just so old and hard to watch the jokes cant save it. But there are some gems I love to rewatch like Cave Dwellers, This planet Earth, Hobgoblins, Space Mutiny.
I really want to play this but the fact that you have to buy a $30 DLC on top of the $30 game just to get what they originally advertised in the kick starter rubs me the wrong way... reminds me of then Ark sold a full DLC before they even finished the base game
Well , in the beginning it was clear that you buy the game and all DLC’s , or get the Supporters Pack ( originally called Deluxe Edition ) and get all DLC’s for free
I can also understand this point of view. The Supporters edition was still available for quite a long time after the base game released. The issue for a lot of people was that there was no ‘upgrade’ from normal to supporters. I ended up gifting the full supporters edition to my kiddies even though they already had the base game …..
Small indie company without a publisher so they have to earn some money once in a while to keep staff paid. So maybe do not compare them to a huge studio backed by very serious money. It's the big guys with the serious money screwing us over.
Back then, I remembered a friend of mine having requested a refund for the base game which was granted as he had purchased the deluxe edition. So the upgrade was kind of possible.
I generally agree about MST. Waste of time. Except for their take on "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians," which entirely deserved their wholehearted disrespect. Also, Capac-ism of the day: "Just chill out at the fire."
Ok I'd love to see you guys playing D&D, just to see what characters you make. I put $$ down that Capac char be a mix of, Benny hill Montie python and Sam regal

I'm not sure that I'd call your way into the eastern swamp a ramp so much as a stick with delusions of grandeur.
Lol 😂

And one stone foundation for the bottom and a perfect target.
The swamp cave - when Icarus gives you that Subnautica vibe
as i'm reading the week 102 patch notes while watching the vod just as splitsie says titanium deep veins aren't a thing. the timing was beautiful

I’ve been binging assertive acquisitions waiting for this to drop :) so glad I found the zebra monkey crew!

So now you can't give Capac grief for getting unknown signals mid fight since you keep taxidermying mid fight :😜
Benny is going to be mad that you have a new mount

Splitse, when you say 'Yeah, No' which is it Yeah or No?
It's no, yeah? 😜
49:41, I'm surprised the ores are not alphabetical starting at the door.

Been waiting for this all week.
And now I feel stupid because the Ark/Icarus VOD is available on Twitch 😮
I named my Moa Jason the Moa

kind of makes us feel a little unimportant, just a cash cow

Anyone else having flashbacks to spare head 3?

I do not know about TFE but i'd rather be called Tiffani than The Force Awakens.

AAA means Anti-Aircraft Artillery, so it should be Anti Air-Animal Artillery - AAAA.
am I possibly first? to comment! Wahoo maybe
i think so, cheers
