to be honest even if you're sponsored, i don't listen too much to what people say until i see the game for myself how it plays and such, then i listen after to see if i agree with what people are saying about the game is aligned with what i noticed. i had to make sure i'm informed before making any choice like getting the game or not. then i wait for a while to see if they are still doing good and they don't deviate from what they wanted to do with the game. been my go to strategy before buying ANY game for a decade now... i don't get disappointed anymore after purchasing games this way. what i'm trying to get to is thanks for letting us se how the game is properly both developer and splitsie.
Spoiler; but it's funny as heck... 4:38:06 - 4:39:00 - Complaints about not knowing cooking; worries this will be a problem requiring backtracking. 4:39:24 - Cooking Plate recipe found... 24 seconds post-rant.
Ye gods! This looks fascinating! And I'm only at 3:02:45! I see the depth of the game are more linked to ecology, unlocks, and enemy diversity rather than player mobility. Of course, there probably are upgrades to the mobility, too, but you aren't locked to just walking for long, and mobility isn't penalized like in other survival games. Here, you fully embrace the nomadic lifestyle, literally bringing your home with you wherever you go. I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the stream has to offer, but this looks mighty promising! I'm already hoping there's another video planned for this game, sponsored or not! The bittersweet realization that everything I see as clear as the day that Splitsie misses, I'm probably missing at least that much when playing games myself. And I'm not making interesting running commentary, ensuring the stream is alive and keeping track of chat while I'm playing. So, I duff my cap instead of raging in the comments about anything and everything that Splitsie might have missed. I salute you, sire, how you manage that feat is beyond my comprehension. Adding in a bunch of others into that mix, and I'd go into sensory overload quicker than I think. I've done project management of trade persons, doing the same with friends and acquaintances, that's far from a similar experience...
Average day in Splitsie Land: a dog that coughs from munching on bones or something. Doing alien abductions of sheep. Making capacakes for your trainee space engineer. Adorable.
To make sure you have music turned on or off with Space Engineers 2, there are two ways that you can handle it that I can think of off the top of my head. First, you could just copy the installation folder of the game to another location and rename the launcher to SE2 Streaming and have the music turned on in the settings and turn off the music in the original installation. You could also do a batch files to copy the settings file with either the music on or off into the installation folder and then launch the game. The Steam client allows you to add other programs to launch and I've done that with Space Engineers. I have the original game and then a second entry to launch the game with plug-ins enabled.
We have some of the best water here in Scotland, I bought a meter that test the particles in the water and it went as low as 10ppm, tried down in Wolverhampton and it was up at 350ppm. Very lucky here.
If you get bit by a mosquito the inject a enzyme that A reduces blodcuagulation and B makes you smell to mosquitos as a food source. So if for a day only one person in the house get's bit chances are that most mosquitos try to bite them again since they are now a known food source. if there are enough mosquitos around or you rub yourlsefe against the other you can pick up the smell in places and get bit which then makes you also a mosquito lighthouse.
The RBLF notes that Space Engineers has yet to teach the Splitsie the importance of Red Batteries… The RBLF is firmly convinced the Splitsie’s parents tied his belt to large balls of yarn so he could find his way back home… 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Did you ever figure out that right click on the map puts up a big green waypoint beacon to make navigating your island easier? Wait, I see the next installment is up on the tube... Gotta go watch it now!
At 1:47 you found the little pond island. I made my airship around it. (before I saw this vid) I can get it cruising up to 100 knots, zipping between islands and it is almost too nimble! But... not as cool as having a big chunk of rock with trees and grass flying around. Right now, my little pond rock is but a tiny part of the massive sky ship I have made. Two stories (so far) and 2 or 3 times bigger at the base in all directions than the pond. The pond is like my own personal indoor pool. Cozy benches around it with nice mood lighting from the lamps. My personal house opens up to it and I have some nice deck furnishings overlooking it. The little pond island is completely engulfed by my airship
1:21:44 I think it's possible, just complicated, for a game to separate the music out to another window/process so that it can be recorded separately. You might have to use a dead-drop to transfer data between the two, but it \*should\* be possible.
I imagine you have been hearing the stories from your Siblings of their kids growing up (talking as you were telling us about in this video) now you get to live it. I know he is almost 2 and I think I had said this when you said that you and your "Other Half" were expecting but congratulations. I don't remember what holiday it was for but the way my Brother and his Wife announced to the family that they were expecting was to sign a card "Brother's name, Wife's name, and ?" They have 3 total ranging from early to mid 20s.
@@Flipsie I wonder if this is the result of what we call "Ammetåke" here in Norway, which basically translates to "breast feeding fog". Usually hits mothers hardest (for obvious reasons), but has also gradually hit more and more fathers since the 1950'ies. :P I'm sure as your former profession, you're familiar with the effects of sleep deprevation, constant stress/worry, etc. :P
Your sense of direction really is frustrating and I know this, you know this. I watched this live and then the VOD to catch up what I missed. When you were looking for that first coffee seed, you round around the island, only to jump and fly over it and go to the opposite side of the island again. I hope we get to see more of this... and Hydroneer, and Timberborn...
Chat: "Is it a First Person Shooter?" Splitsie: "FPS yes, shooter no...?" Splitsie... you need to explain to me what you think the S in FPS stands for :P Edit: I see chat caught on to that and proposed different things for the S in FPS because of that fumble ^ ^
Looks to me a lot like WORLDS ADRIFT. Sad memory because the concept was wonderfull. ANGRY memory because they just tool the cash and vanished without even trying to fix it. Somebody need to make another WORLDS ADRIFT, whith the graplin to move and the airship building that was so nice.
i tried responding earlier, but i suspect it didn't go through because i included a link to steam. Bossa studios (the creators of Worlds Adrift) are working on a new game "Lost Skies" which is very much in the same veins as Worlds Adrift, with a very similar graphical look and ship design style, but without some of the technologies that were problematical for WA. Lost Skies is listed in Steam, though not available for public early access yet, though they do have an active discord, and are regularly inviting active members of the community into a closed beta programm for significant testing.
Wait, what it this about shadow not streaming? (honestly now that you mentioned it haven't seen her in your vids for a bit. I think I just thought she was on vacation)
@@Flipsie Had I been a bit more patient you did mention later that she was just busy with life stuff. So thank you for humoring my silly question. Oh and happy new year! Good luck on the trip!
So why not if you have some of your usual co-stars in chat, just jump in voice with them and have them comment on your gameplay as you play(Still playing solo)?
Being paid to play a game you enjoyed - sounds like a no-brainer. I enjoyed the fly-through of the world.

for your info the lowest recorded temp in Sydney was -0.1c in 23rd July 1943 at Observatory Hill, the coldest temp where I live is Scotland was -27.2c

3:46:39 - "They're not in the water." As you're looking directly at a sheep under the water...
lol Wow, I wish it were as easy for people to give me clips of things I miss on twitch, would help so much with this stuff :D

Looks like a far future version of PalWorld where all the "pals" have been eaten.

4:18:00 Tree comment, yeah, I don't think you will be able to balance out trees killed with trees grown, even in Planetcrafter

this game makes me salty about what Worlds Adrift could've been.
That by the way, is the game they killed to make this one instead.
Is this like a worlds adrift clone
Watched and Liked 👍
Splitsie not play a game but game play him😂
