Modified DIY motor glider - maiden flight (V-tail glider)

First of all, I would like to thank Andrew Newton (youtuber), whose 3 mm depron glider gave me the inspiration for this form of flight.

In the end, I started leaning a little towards the motor glider, because the nearby park where you flew became smaller and smaller due to the installation of the dog run. It is difficult to get through the turbulence caused by the trees into the free air flow with the DLG I built at home. Although I really enjoy flying with them. But now I put the emphasis on immediately reaching the necessary flight height, where it is easy to catch thermals even with a heavier plane. Let's see the testing of a quick and simple homemade thermal glider in the small park.

Awesome - well done - it is a thrill to ride the thermals with a heavier glider - the extra 0.5m of wing sure makes a difference. - I am currently running 350mAh 2C on my 1.5m F5K @450g (I probably need a bigger battery).
@@bracesport Oh yes Phil, you have thruth! I can not thinking of it. After this maiden I try some flights and the last was too success. So I reach easily 200 m height and I could not fly from the thermal safely without any breaks. So one of my wing broke in the air. I had to make a landing without 0.5 m wing of the left wings. ;) I hope that you will fly your motor glider nice too! Thank you for your advices for V-tail. I feel that these simple sailplanes are awesome for some fun.

@@amonus-air2160 Thank you my friend! It was good, but after this maiden I could not landing safely from 200 m height. It has not got any breaks and my wing broke in the air...there was a huge thermal which raised the glider up and up. I will make a new similar wing.

Nicely done, looked fun. It can be tricky to get down from a booming thermal without brakes.
@@CirrusRC Thank your words! Yes, after this maiden I could not landing safely and my wings broke in the air. But this glider is fun for me. I think your film covered gliders have nice performance. I was happy to be able to catch thermal with a motor glider.
