this video makes a hell of a lot more sense after buying all the quick tool add-ons and trying them out for myself. Buying these add-ons have made me fall in love with blender!
Quicktools has singlehandedly reinvigorated my love for doing concept art. As a primarily 2D artist I was always super put off by things like 3DSMax/Maya etc, 3DCoat was fine but crashed or destroyed my models every 5 minutes. Blender+quicktools has been the only thing that has made me feel free enough like I can just hop into blender and sketch out whatever I want in 3D without worrying too much about the technical aspects of 3D modelling. 10/10 would recommend
Feel the same about 3D coat, it makes sense to me as a concepting tool but that UI / UX is horrendous. Anything that gives blender that same functionality is a blessing
Videos like this make me very very happy to have purchased the QuickTools collection. I'd love to see more! Especially start-to-finish projects like this one.
Whoooooooaaaaa! I did not realize this tool was this versatile. The 3dcoat style workflow is really nice. I hope this tool is in continual development. Great potential. I gotta check it out.
These tools are incredible, its a godsend being a heavy 3D Coat user coming to blender - Its like the best of both in one place. Thanks for the new videos too
Great Tutorial Aleksander, thanks you for sharing!. I did noticed tho, that the audio is cutting off every few seconds, specially when you stop talking or talk to low, like the microphone was disabling itself when it detect low sound input
such a great video, think i might buy the addon. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the smoke and dirt images from that you put around the vehicle?
@@ALKSNDR If it's not too much trouble. Could you go into a little more detail about the dirt image, making an alpha from the diffuse with QT. Thanks so much.
@@ALKSNDR So cool, I had no idea QT could do that. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it's been a big help! Can't wait for the next video. Any chance you could share when you're thinking of dropping the next video or what it will be about?
Has VR in Blender developed to the point where it's useful to model with it? It seems Quicktools are perfect to use with VR, but I've not seen much VR work done in Blender yet.
After 3.1 update, I am not able to go into "Line Mode" for QuickCurve when pressing ALT+SHIFT. Is there something wrong that I am doing? Edit: I think "Emulate 3 button mouse" in Blender preferences is messing with this. When turned off, the I am able to enter the Line Mode. Please look into it.
You did an awesome job. I bought it instantly after watching Jama using it, but to be honest, after a try I din't like it at all. I didn't get use to this interface and controls, I am not very good at memorizing and the addon works only with shortcuts, it lacks of a menu or something like to make it more intuitive, the other way is to be constantly looking at the controls wich made it pretty annoying for me, and that after watching his tutorial. In the time that I need to get used to this controls I can learn a new software, as I am making now with 3D coat, wich is way better in every aspect than this addon and is pretty easy to use. I don't find any reason to use this addon instead of 3D coat, exporting something to blender takes 1 minute. I love Jamas work and tutorials, but I didn't like this adoon.
@@ALKSNDR Yeah, this is definetly a point to your addon, the fact that the forms keep pretty low poly. I think would be good to implement some kind of menu with icons for the diferent tools, something more intuitive and easy to understand visually. Maybe some buttons where you can active the diferent tools instead of memoricing the shortcuts. In 3D coat I just memorized like 3 or 4 shortcuts, for most of the tools I just open the tool menu with space and click on them and then modify them if needed with e. But maybe is just me and my fish memory.

Best add-on ever period. Alksndr and Jama are the best! I don’t think I could ever use blender without this. So much love and respect to you guys!

For the dirt, fog, and the grunge textures, do you have links and recos for Blender Market or another source for buying these?

depends on what area you want to focus if its modelling i suggest Blender Guru.
