Hedgehogs,!!! love them. We found a nice patch last summer .around Grade Cache. I dried them and ended up with 10 1 lt. Mason jars.the internet said they don’t do well drying them but I disagree.there delicious.
Probably my very favourite mushroom. Maybe even more then morels 😁

Hi Phil and Alex, but where's Randy? I hope he's OK. As always absolutely wonderful video, drone images were breathtaking. Imagine if there was snow on the ground, how dangerous it would be with those caves.. Scary!! Lucky skunks you were finding such a variety of mushrooms😊... Love it!!! How about a video with how you cook the mushrooms? Be well and warm greetings from Greece.

Thank you for your concern! I appreciate that.
I was giving my knee a bit of a break As I hurt it in mid July and was just trying to power thru the pain. It got to the point where i had to take a break.
Alex done a wonderful job with Phil with the last two videos.... Im very proud of them both.
Thank you for your support and taking the time to comment.

Great video. I didn’t catch the name for the boletes that weren’t kings. They looked more red. What kind were those?

Another great vid guys! Do you dry the yellowfoot the same way you do morels?

Slightly different system to morels. Similar concept of adding lots of air at the start and gradually adding heat but can add heat earlier when drying yellowfoot chanterelles. Less chance of encouraging sporing with heat compared to morels.

Amazing how dark it gets in the forest compared to on the road. Hit this issue a number of times attempting to get a fungi hunt in after work.

Yeah it’s so dark in some of those forests that it actually throws off the cameras stabilization. It’s also so sound insulated that some of the audio was near flatlined, had to bring it back up in post
