The General is known far-and-wide as The Hardest Fighting Game Boss to date for a reason.
This dude has a fireball as big as himself, both a normal one AND a triple one that goes in 3 directions which blocks you from jumping; Which btw, his fireballs also ABSORB projectiles. A slide-kick that hits 3 times and is safe on block. Normals have insane priority with almost no delay whatsoever. And a teleport that's almost instantaneous with no recovery; One that he often follows up with a grab immediately afterwards.
There is absolutely no screwing around with The General.

It's not hardest but broken. From criminal developer who didn't know how to make fighting game or porposely make it so to steal your money.
If such developer or any supporting console/game store did that today. They would get sue and such game wouldn't be remembered as legendary game like this.

General is so ridiculous that Taito actually apologized for how busted he is, and then planned on making him WAY less unfair in the sequel... which was unreleased.

Actually played the sequel (Dan-Ku-Ga) at an arcade recently. Thought that was what he was playing at first, it was a really fun game.

I love that this boss has no qualms about telling you that he's bullshit. Won't even attempt to camouflage it by trying to play fair, he just goes in with Dr. Doom technology off the first second.
The General is legit the hardest boss I’ve ever fought in my life and I’ve played a LOT of fighting games. Dude is so completely busted it’s ridiculous. Almost Everything he has is safe, does lots of damage, and neutralizes your offense. I can't even argue against his claim of being "the perfect soldier", dude is OD lol.

@@augustgreig9420 Neo Geegus, Zeus, or Neo Dio? Geegus was super easy for me, Zeus was tough but manageable, but Neo Dio was definitely pretty hard in World Heroes 2, definitely nowhere close to as bad as The General tho.
@@orlanzo2621 I was talking about World Heroes 1. Don't recall his name, I think he was the shape shifter, but there may have been one after him. It was probably because I was so young and only got to play when we went to Wal-Mart. Also, I mained Rasputin, and I don't know if he was low tier I maybe just had a bad matchup against the boss.

To me Goodman from neo geo battle coliseum is cheaper it so happens the cpu is coded to let you win. You just can't get close to that mofo.

@@goldenchild3686 nah, not even close. Geese in fatal fury 1 is easy to exploit the ai. Just keep using burn knuckle when he is just about to stand up and most of the time geese will keep getting hit and btw the way to know when he is about to do a counter move, he will stand still no doing anything.
Igniz has a workaround. Run fast and jump over him, he'll dp which will whiff if you time your cross-up right. Then dm or do your best combo.
Man, the "SNK boss syndrome" is like a joke compared to this. BTW, every time I heard that "Yoink!" clip I can't help but chuckle!

General: YES
To be fair, he doesn't really have a lot of specials, but he more than makes up for that since pretty much his entire moveset is safe on block.
This man's slide is fast enough to link into, far enough to punish stuff from midscreen, safe on block, gives oki on hit, and has low profile. Putting all of that together, it's safe to say that Justin just got outplayed 🙃

No! The hardest boss and strongest fighting game character (you can fight as him with an in-game cheat [would be good for views]) is Ivan Ooze from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Fighting Edition. Hard mode only ;).

Nah bro. Ivan ooze it's pretty underwhelming... To fight with or vs. Against him he its just dumb. With him you can spam DP and never be touched. I love that game but i rather prefer Justin play just the arcade mode.

I love that this boss fight was also a plot point in Hi Score Girl. It was brilliant.
I was laughing my ass off for the first 10 minutes but then started feeling defeated myself just from watching all the loses. You couldn't imagine how excited I was FOR YOU when you finally got that win! lol!
This reminds me of the strategy you use to beat claw in old school sf2 titles… but claw wasn’t hopped up on pcp and psycho energy like the general.

I know the makoto crew (aka the Guilty Gear pros that dominated the Guilty Gear Xrd comp scene) has a video of them beating General. They struggled with it about as much as Justin did.

That slide's an interesting move. It's a knockdown on hit but on block it can keep hitting you for at least three times. Ie, the extra hits are pretty much only there to punish you if you think that, just maybe, you can punish the slide.
No you cannot punish the slide. It can be an infinite blockstring if he wanted to
His slide is unpunishable. It has no recovery on it.

lool great video. So, same suggestion as before, Parace L'sia from Arcana Heart 3 Love Max. She's Trial 10 in trial mode or the final boss of Score Attack. I think Trial Mode is harder.
Even as someone who competes in that game, it's like...luck basically. There's one way I know of to cheese it with a certain character/arcana combo but I don't think it's something you'll find on accident and you're locked out of changing characters in trial mode
General is the worst. Safe slide. Frame 1 grab after invincible teleport. Man forget Omega Rugal or Igniz.
After your many battles you gonna have to make a tier list of difficult bosses lol

A lot of these hard bosses are "easy" once you find how to manipulate the AI and find a loop, but sometimes that loop has a hard execution. Some arcade bosses are impossible to beat without an exploit like that.

Looking at Boss' movements in the video, I felt that the difficulty he was playing wasn't the most difficult in-game.
(Jump many times, Easy to pass combo by jump attack)

@@user-sr3bs2bc1d in some of these games the difficulty setting does nothing on the boss and it's there just to adjust the difficulty curve from the first match all the way to the second last match
Highest setting makes the first character have the highest difficulty from the beginning
In other words, it's the same difficulty for the boss no matter the setting
It works something like this:
Easiest: 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,8
Easy: 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,8
Normal: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
Hardest: 7,7,7,7,7,7,7,8
The boss is always 8 , at least in snk arcade fighting games
Kaiser Knuckle has four difficulty levels.
There are four types, EASY, NORMAL, HARD, and VERYHARD.
When the difficulty level is low, General will defeat the jumping opponent with Normal Move,
When the difficulty is high, the general strengthens the defense, refrains from jumping, and uses 3 ways a lot.
By the way, this game is very difficult along the way, and a vicious CPU similar to Art of Fighting 2 awaits you.
I think it's great that he defeated General.
But I was a little skeptical about his defeat of the true General.

Here's a thought.. most people use wulong to beat him.. just dp move.. you're not trying to hit him with the dp move.. but as soon as you land from the dp move, you do a low sweep.. 9 times out of 10, general will just stand there as you miss and will still be standing as you go for the low sweep..
There's a strict AI flaw with every character. But WuLong and Gekkou have the easiest time exploiting him. That being said, even Parace L'Sia can be exploited. And considering the lack of comeback mechanics and choices you have in Kaiser Knuckle makes it harder than Parace. But she is a close 2nd I think or End of Deathbringer and maybe Chizuru from Aquapazza
