    What hurt alot of these guys was going to schools like Duke and Kentucky that didnt cater to them as the main guy. Guys like Trae Young and Collin Sexton did it right, going to places that they can lead and be the star.

    I played against Tony when I was in college. Dude was a MONSTER! I now work with the guy who was Tony’s assistant coach at Lee. I asked him what happened after Tony left Lee. He said that him and the head coach were getting calls from the Magic and Knicks to have him come do a workout, but Tony always said “I can’t get a ride to the airport”. Bro could’ve gotten a deal too.

Jabari went #2 and is a journeyman who barely sees the floor. Okafor got waived by the Hawks last year. And Mudlay didn't play at ALL last year.

    Across all sport there are more and more young players training and playing like professional players when their bodies haven’t fully developed. It’s why we continue to see so many injuries. Rewind the clock and you’ll see athletes in the 80s and before didn’t get hurt as much during their professional careers and tended to have better longevity. While not quite at the peak we see today, that’s better than destroying so many young careers.

    Hot Take: I give less fux about a player’s skill nowadays. The successful NBA teams are more focused on strategy. I think it makes scouting easier as a side effect. Not really looking for a name, rather a set skills relevant to the team’s success.

    If there are any Newman fans here, you just need to accept that NBA needs not only talent and skills but also genetics. He cant play with players knowing he only reaches height below their belt line.
