- In 2016, the Ball Brothers led Chino Hills to a 35-0 record. Cementing their place in history as one of the best high school basketball teams of all time. But Lonzo, Liangelo, and Lamelo were not the only players on that team that have found success at the next level... so what happened to the other guys on that legendary squad?

Correction: Eli Scott didn’t end up making the team in Finland. He’s now playing in Slovakia. I had that mixed up. Still playing pro regardless.
I Got new music out and music videos soon
@@ANTHONY_the_GOATk kid anthony
81-82 Dunbar was the best ever
Damn you forgot my guy Daijon Davis aka “DC The Don”, he’s a pretty good artist and he was on the 2016 team

You need to give the Chino Hills high school coach a tremendous amount of credit.
You mean Lavar Ball? 😂
1000%
You talking about Half the starters Pops
Shoutout to Steve Baik
For putting up with Lavar?
Current CHHS student here. It feels like a completely different school watching these videos, and not in a good way. Not many ppl talk about them still at school obviously, but a lot of teachers still brag about having one of the Ball Brothers' signatures on old assignments
Would any of people in your school know them
@@chase5293 only the teachers all the students from than have graduated
You forgot about DC the Don.
Yeah
He only played on they aau team
That wasn’t the same team, I think that was AAU because Lavar was the coach at the time.
I love DC☺️
His music good
Crazy it’s been 6 years god damn
For real
7 years actually
Wow that is amazing. The fact that LiAnglo led the team in scoring is a great trivia quesion that I never would have guessed.
LiAngelo is the one that initial got the Ball name out there
I’m guess Lavar planned that. He knew Melo and Lonzo were good enough, but LiAngelo needed the extra boost.
If you watched them during that time you would know. He bullying mfs in hs
@@jcvtrt6721 Didn't help. He's not good.
@@kfox5301 no shit ? thats exactly what I said. LaMelo and Lonzo are good enough, LiAngelo was shit and relied on the padded stats
It's good to know that those young fellas are still in beast mode💪🏾
Good report man.
Lonzo is genuinely really good, sucks he’s injured
Y’all forgot the rockstar..DC THE DON! but hey, solid, informative vid regardless!
FOR REAL! DC THE GOAT
That was aau not chino hills
@@skinnyvillain547 dc played for chino

S/o to San Ramon Valley HS beating practically the same team the year before in 2015 for their first state championship. A team where only one or two players even moved on to play college basketball. Need a video on that!
Video on Chino Hills’s Will Pluma, Nnamdi Okongwu and Ofure Ujadughele pleasee!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Nnamdi tragically died in a skateboarding accident in 2014 so onyeka wore 21 in honor of him
Love the Chanel man keep it up🤙🏻
Great video! Rock solid research.
Crazy nobody on the beach played that season only the starters 😅
Yeah as someone that went to CHHS, the bench barely got minutes in games which sucked, until the very end of the 4th quarter. But hey some got to be apart of some great Highschool championship teams.
They got a ring didn’t they?
Didn't dc the don play with them?
I thought so too I know you can find videos of him playing with them and him and lemelo and g's
@@jamenmuxworthy3889at l V
Yeah he did
Yes they played together But not in chino hills
@@ludifoe5039 yes he did, look it up on maxpreps
Miss that city loved living there and great community. Remember playing pickup with lot of these guys as well as lot of other in the area was great competition
Great research!
It's funny that Okongwu has had the 2nd best NBA career. Dude can really play, I'm a Hawks fan he's really surprised me
Lonzo>Onyeka LaMelo>>Onyeka
biased hawks fan
@@ryd4h Lonzo is considered a bust by most people. On his 3rd team in 4 years and is also injury prone. Lamelo is overrated but better than okongwu. His flashy playstyle doesn't equate to winning
@@mattyice1151 lol. You're silly man
@@mattyice1151 bro that overrated shit is old hes a good player now offensively hes one of the best play makers and defensively hes top 3 best guard defenders hes not as good as a top pick should be but at this point hes underrated
Can u make a video on the 2018 Westtown Basketball Team? Mo Bamba, Cam Reddish, and a Japanese Pro
DC THE DON
only way i was able to watch video was bcuz of captions. im at work. thanks dude.
Well done man
“Lamelo was never considered a lottery talent in high school” he was ranked number 13 in his class wym🤣
New to channel, awesome to see Haley Joel Osment as an adult.
“How do you know chino hill highschool?”
Me: the drumline 😀😀
Very well done piece and great research.
I've been wondering that for years and this randomly pops into my recommendation today.
2016 Chino's the best basketball team ever I don't see any historic or current squad beating them.
Nice content.
Cool stuff
Best team Ive ever watched, 2000 Jefferson Democrats (Portland, Oregon). Brandon Brooks, Aaron Miles…Jesus that team was so deep. I used to go watch them play after my own games at another high school. They were incredible, undefeated, I think, and showtime. Remember thinking Evergreen High school and James Davis (5’7 dude who played at Oregon) was going to give them a good game but Jeff blew them out and was running and dunking like the 87 Lakers. Brandon Brooks is still one of my favorite players of all time and I don’t even know if the dude played much after high school.
jeff hs always gone be good at every sport bro they walk everyone in 6A in portland to this day
Ya but how many pros they got, levels to this
They were fun to watch
What about deji aka dc the don ?
Imagine teams could take/draft entire 5 player team and see whether the chemistry translate into the next level
Here from your TikTok
Man I thank them for the boulder they left on Dfox shoulder. Made him into an all star
Funny that the photo, only the Ball brothers who made nba are smiling
You forgot that man dc the don was on that squad too
These kinds of kids come and go, the Game of Basketball is so much bigger than Individuals...Let us hope that the new generations coming out of school don't ruin the game...
I know this because one of the guys is my uncle Artesia had James Cotton drafted by the bulls traded to the supersonics, Ed Obannon drafted by the Nets, Charles Obannon drafted by the pistons Avondre Jones NBA talent/could not stay out of trouble, and a 7-foot Chinese dude they blew everybody out.
Okongwu and Eli Scott did all the dirty work for chino hills.....str8 DOGZ!!!
DAMN! Onyeka top 6? Completely did not know that. Wild
What about Dc the Don
I guess you could say, that chino hills basketball team was a dream team.
I was literally watching Shelton play against BYU the other day and I was like this guys pretty good and my dad was like oh ya this guys really good and now that I see him on Loyola Marymount that’s the same guy
No wonder the crowd was hype for their boys 3. Your star defensive lineman just suited up for a basketball game and nailed a 3 from downtown haha
They're the generation of miracles.

"LaMelo was never seen as a lottery pick in high school" ..... surely the dumbest thing anyone ever said.
The guy was Grade 8 age, dominating the best teams in the national at VARSITY.
As someone who goes to high school in the IE, my coaches always talk about the 2016 chino hills team 😂
I NEVER KNEW ONYEKA PLAYED FOR CHINO HILLS GO HAWKS!!
I was the 6k like
Lonzo went to the Bulls and caught the D Rose curse...
dc the don was also on the team and now hes a big rapper
12 years before at the same high school we were pretty bad!
Damn already 6 years ago? felt like it was yesterday. 😢
Chino had some nice teams after that won a lot also but for sure Lonzo and Melo on a high school squad is a recipe for wins.
Chino hills baby!
it’s weird seeing my school on youtube lol
Yes
Impressive though. Very talented team
a wovles fan?! take my sub
shoutout to grant for giving me that assist 🤫
Everyone on that team really went D1
Is this the same guy that does the spicy wings interviews? Or they at least related? Brothers?
Dc da don is 🔥
Damn 6 years? I remember I was in HS as a junior. We all called him lamelo melo
The best team ever was Baltimore Dunbar when they had Reggie Williams (15 nba seasons), Mugsy Bogues (14 nba seasons), David Wingate (15 nba seasons), and Reggie Lewis (Captain of the Celtics , best of the bunch, and died after 7 seasons, or he would've played 15 too!). It ain't even close man.. Coached by Bob Wade who later coached Maryland. They were better at every damn position.
Cameron Shelton just led LMU to an upset of the #6 team in the country.
There has to be someone from Ruben S Ayala watching this ;3
yo do a video on Daijon Davis aka dc the don
Dude are you the 'I see dead poeple' actor?
What division was Chino Hills in CIF D1 OR D2?
The fact I go to this school…
Okongwu tearing shit up in the A
this guy is definitely swamp stories lol
Fun fact. As of today, December 8, 2022, ZERO of the Ball boys are currently playing in the NBA. Lamelo is trending to be as fragile as Lonzo.
I mean none of them are CURRENTLY PLAYING. But they’re still under contract and making millions sitting at home hurt
Good those contracts are guaranteed.
@@ybgl7965 Bad for the teams they are on, salary cap money wasted and no player. Good players, but obviously overly prone to injury. A lot of more modern younger players are, I suspect that it is because there are a ton of absolute whackadoo trainers out there, running ridiculous, made up BS to train players with, have to stick out and be unique as a trainer to make a name for yourself.
yet they’re still on rosters making millions more than me and you

What about Daijon Davis?
For real I thought that was the whole point of this video to show some players who went other routes but still were successful

This guy sounds like mike korzemba
DC the don in Chino hills
Onyekou nice
Why dude in the thumbnail givin LaMelo the evil eye. Jealousy is a killer.
I thought the dude bottom left in the thumbnail was Jalen Smith
Forget these guys, I always wanted to know what haley joel osment is up to now days. Now I know.
you not gon talk about dc the don?
Why do all the dudes that run these channels look like they've never played ball in their life tho? Lmao good content but man that's always funny to me
