I have the 2014 Z51. I can put 2 sets of golf clubs in the back and daily drive it, or I can go to a race track and rip it up. It's a great car. Just Love it.

Why does the audio sound as if Csaba's segments were recorded in a sound-studio but the guests were recorded in a pavilion?
It looks like it will be the greatest Corvette ever
Hence the reason why there were no more GT1 class. It doesn't matter if the C6R had 590 HP. There were simply no more competition in GT1 class because BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, etc. had moved on to the GT2 class.
Therefore, it took 4 years for Team Corvette to win after going on a losing streak against BMW and Porsche because of the new rules. Some say GT1 was tougher, but I think GT2 is tougher,
What happened to the original C7 prototype? That actually looked good
The last time Corvette won GT1 was in 2007. After 2009, there was no more GT1 class because Chevrolet abandoned it to move on to the much tougher GT2 class (which also became the GT class in 2010). Beginning from 2008, BMW and Porsche mainly both dominated year after year.
It was only then until last year 2012 that the Corvette had finally won after nearly a 4 year losing streak. I guess you must do your research as well if you want to talk racing.
Nope, sorry to burst your bubble but you're 100% wrong! GT1 was the tougher class, not GT2. The reason Team Corvette abandoned GT1 was because the only other competitor in that class was Aston Martin, and Corvette was forced to implement restrictor plate measures so Aston Martin could at least be competitive. Currently, the HP of the C6-R is much lower (470 HP) than when it was a GT-1 car (590 HP).

I'm sure Europe will welcome the new Corvette... I'm from europe, and if I had the money I would buy one right away... That's how a sports car has to be made, simple RWD with a manual gearbox...
And looks like they refined the interior wich was the major fault with the C6

Of course the GT-R is a technical marvel. What type of car is powered by a V6 twin-turbo, a dual-clutch transmission, AWD, which propels its 3800 lbs weight from 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds within the price range of $95k?
The closest thing I can think of right now is the Porsche, but of course that would be too expensive right?

The GTR is a like a calculator, you put the numbers in and the calculator produces right? Without you the Calculator is just pure potential, with you that potential is brought out. The GTR is a car that has limits that VERY little cars can even dream of approaching, I don't think without the Computer Aides that you'd be able to go half as fast. The GTR is a car along with the Bugatti Veyron which show and push the ragged edge of automotive performance and technology.
IT probably performs right under the c6 z06 and probably identically to the camaro zl1

Problem with the GTR is that there's virtually no chassis development in the car: the frame is made out of steel with iron chassis components, which makes it a sort of 'Sumo wrestler' in the sports car world. THere's so much iron & steel in the car, that you can't take it out in the rain or it'll be a lump of rust in a couple years. The Vette, OTOH, is like Lance Armstrong: technologically advanced, light, athletic, and on steroids.

My brother hates it. I personally think it looks beautiful. Much better than the previous Vette. The interior however reminds me of a Volvo.
I own a 2013 Mustang GT....the ONLY Ford I like. It kicks ass for 30k.
So happy they didnt go with some lame retro styling. This Vette looks sexy as hell, profile view is just incredible. Even the tail lights are already growing on me.
The LFA is NOT faster than the GT-R to 100kmh (2.7 seconds vs 3.8 seconds) nor is it faster on the quarter mile(10.9 seconds vs 11.9 seconds), idk where this information came from. The Nurburgring Edition LFA is faster than the GTR on the Nur yes, but also comes at a premium of about 100,000 dollars over the 350,000 price tag of the regular LFA (which you could buy a GTR with) and that's only one track.
It should be an all electric vette.
GT-R can't even beat the last Viper's Nurburgring lap time and it cost more.

Overhead cams and a turbo make it a technical marvel? If we really want to get technical, IC engines are archaic and nothing that has one should really be considered high tech.
Also, while a 2 liter engine with overhead cams and turbos may make power, it will not be as reliable. And its EXTERNAL size and weight is more than a SBC (small block chevy) Why do you see these engines in Miatas and RX7s? Because despite the large internal capacity, externally they are super compact and light.

I've never bought an american car but this corvette looks really good in my opinion. I personally really like the styling. the interior could be better though and that steering is horrible. i'm not sure why Chevy puts such ugly out dated cheap looking steering in their cars.

Well, you're obviously siding with the GTR a bit, mentioning the best ever Gtr times, vs the slowest ever LFA times.. But I can see why you would side with the gtr seeing as how it's the attainable supercar, with great bang for buck. vs the unattainable ghost car : ) LOL!
But calling the Nürburgring "only one track" would be downplaying it quite a bit.. If a car is faster on the Nordschleife, it's faster pretty much everywhere. Because it was built to test every aspect of a cars dynamics.

MPG is not bad as well...But...MPG on a Vette :} The Europeans did have it right. It kept the USA excitement and went Euro on Tech and half the design. "Well Done fat man from KENTUCKY!" Our tax dollars built a great car. Kick in the ass they got at GM.

The audio is very distracting.
I'm confused because you liked so many videos of American muscle cars on your page but now you talk about how inefficient the v8 is. The new Vette will actually run on six cylinders until you mash the throttle and is expected to get 30 mpgs which is almost unheard of with the cars it is meant to compete with and most of those cars use V-8s, V-10s, and V-12s. The gtr is the odd 1 of the group and it is no technical marvel by any means.
My grandfather wants this new corvette. It reminds me of the GTR from b-pillar on. The front end looks like a Ferrari...better than before..but has the American DNA...cheap look/feel.

LFA is faster then GTR on a drag strip and on a track the LFA is better but not 300,000 dollars better thats why the GTR is the better car

I have a C7 it's a beautiful car but it has a gremlin the temperature gauge will quit working cooling fan starts running full blast I end up turning it off with scan tool to get it home it's been to the dealership a couple times were charged by the dealership and they did nothing the temperature sensor has been changed twice I don't dare go anywhere with the car without scan tool I would never buy another GM vehicle again

the problem is that the concept car was amazing, so this dud is a total let down. It seems too short and has that creepy desingned on autocad look to it. Its about the same as the last one, which was so so. Really this is nothing to get excited about and makes you wonder why they didnt use the concept car body.

Way to make an exciting car for the money (value) sound BORING! JEEZ! Great looking and upgraded interior, Finallynot a plastic piece of crap. Viper meets Ferrari 599 meets camaro meets Ferrar9 458 italia (tailpipes). I like it...because its not a rounded old plastic C6. What a car for the money. The Original stingray was beautiful but a garbage car all around. It's a damn car...it's material matter that you sit in. Calm down. Finally a Corvette I might consider buying! :)
